Baseball Recession?
The LA Dodgers have been drawing more than three million per year for around twenty years and the Angels have been drawing that since 2003, which means they don't have to hustle tickets. Or so it would seem. But things are not what they seem, both teams are going after the bucks with the Angels selling a ton of tickets for between $3 an $5 for good seats to watch their opening series and the Dodgers are packaging tickets in five ticket bundles for the first time ever. Then there are the perennial title contending LA Lakers basketball team who are basically begging people to buy playoff tickets for the sure to be Western Conference Champion Lakers. While it's not so surprising that baseball teams having eighty stadium dates to fill might hustle seats, but the Lakers only have to fill 17,000 per game. Times are tough for the teams here so just think what they are in blue collar towns like Cincinatti and Cleveland. Stay tuned, there might be some high priced talent on the market soon.
