I, along with a ton of you out there, have believed the "birthers" to be a bunch of quacks.  Until I read this piece in American Thinker that includes links.  The story has also appeared in NRO on line by Andrew McCarthy.  More and more people regarded as "serious" by many are saying that "god" is lying in his teeth about most everything.  This is not going away any time soon.
