Ethics Whip Obama Corruption, For Now

This is a win for what is left of our ethics. Most of us bought into Obama's stated intention to create a society with open government etc. etc. etc. stated as if open and honest government was actually something Obama wanted more than anything else.  He would at last break the cement straight jacket of petty politicians.  WE imagined the wish expressed by Abba.........

The Good side is that we have discovered that most liberals and conservatives share the same wish.  Conservatives may favor private finance over public, but we want honest markets, banks, and commerce.  Libs may favor government over private enterprise but they want honest government.  After weeks of watching helplessly as the Dem politicos bribed, squeezed, and arm twisted their way for Health Care support we Democrats and Republicans, who just want things to be fair, struck back. This local vote seems exactly the same as the national rejection of the GOP wherein we Righties let them pieces of Republican shit in DC know that we were sick of the lying, stealing, and preening. We threw them under the bus. In short we on the Right are not as MSM has been insisting: Liberal on every issue and anyone opposing the established Washington DC cabal is either stupid or a friend of Sara Palin. No.  This election was about lying. Lying by media in support of the corrupt Liberal educated class; lying by politicians abetted by the corrupt MSM.   It was about the media supported methods of the Congressional Democrats, the thousand page bills that just had to be passed without reading, the secret meetings still called open and transparent by the Sunday Talking Heads, the unspeakable bribes made to willing accomplices in exchange for a vote, and the overall corrupt Democrat-Big Media alliance.  Victor Davis Hanson sums up my anger thusly:

We went from a Republican “culture of corruption” to a liberal cesspool of corruption. Sen. Chris Dodd lectures Wall Street while he gets sweetheart loans and vacation-home deals. Few could make up a story that the nation’s top tax lawmaker, House Ways and Means Chairman Charles Rangel, is a tax dodger, and the nation’s top tax enforcer, Secretary of the Treasury Timothy Geithner, is an even more egregious tax dodger. When the Democratic Senate leadership started buying healthcare votes at $300 million a clip, our Congress became little more than the praetorian guard, auctioning off its support to any wannabe late Roman emperor. The idea of a muckraking Obama nominating Tom Daschle as his Health Secretary — the liberal populist who skips out of thousands of dollars in taxes on his free corporate limousine service — was the stuff of satire.

We are pissed and we voted that way. All of us. The Dem leadership has been caught with a "read my lips" moment and so we shoved it up their asses. Hooray for us. In spite of our diseased elites, we are, under it all, decent people and the Democratic educated elites figured we were simply maggots in the cess pool.   We may well be but we are honest maggots.   This song posted below is what Scott dreamed back in the day

Ace posts an ABBA tune called Waterloo as the theme for the Dem debacle on Tuesday last.  I suggest that the tune below it is better suited for any underdog anywhere, especially Brown on Tuesday.  And don't fail to click on the blow up indicator.  This was made when the group was young and that blonde Viking was only super hot.  Like SUPER HOT.
