Credit Cards are NOT Good for You

Face it, if you carry any kind of balance you are bankrupt; you are buying things you don't have the money for.   Cut it up and use a debit card.  I've been using one for the last fifteen years and I can't tell you what a relief that is.

never run a ballance. Get a 1% cash back credit card and do not charge anything other than what you can pay off in full when the bill comes. Credit cards have lots of consumer protections that debt cards lack. The CC laws were written in the consumer protection/progressive era. If you don't like the product try to return it, if the merchant does or does not take it back, write the CC company when your bill comes saying you contest the charge, offered to return the product, you will get your money back. I put a $50 deposit on a car by CC, the contract said not refundable, another dealer called me that night with a lower offer, guess what, Visa credited me the $50. Try that with a debt card. The second thay swipe they have your money and possession os 90% of the law. With a CC, the merchant has to give the money back to the bank if you make a pip-squeek. With a debt card you have to sue to get your money back.

I use mine for the airline points (for upgrades). Just treat it like a debit card but with extra benefits.

Anonymous above nailed right.
