Reynolds over at PJM has published a long post from Michael Yon, still the best (and only) reporter type covering things Iraq and Afghanistan without hinting that "anti-war" and anti USA is the current PC attitude in our media.  If you've seen "Hurt Locker" this great piece will ring very true.  The enemy is under every rock, behind every wall, and lurking in every bush while strings of IEDs are nearly everywhere hidden deep in the dried mud.  It's a long piece but it's terrific.  The Taliban is resourceful and terribly good and lots of our guys are getting killed (as well as Brits, Dutch etc.)  Take a read, it's well worth your time.

"If you've seen 'Hurt Locker' this great piece will ring very true." Do you really mean that Michael Yon's non-fiction article will seem believable to those who have seen a fiction movie? Isn't this getting things backwards? And how Barack Obama was elected?
