The terible carnage at Mosul caused by a Baathist from Syria lets us know once again that we are putting our soldiers at risk while our politicians play games. Syria is like Cambodia or Communist China during the Vietnam era feeding supplies and troops across the border with impunity. What a shitty Christmas present, not only to the families of the soldiers who were killed in that mess hall, but shitty for all our troops. Iraq has photographs of Syrian officials with guerrillas who have been fighting U.S.-led forces before planned national elections next month, a senior Iraqi diplomat said on Thursday. The Iraqi ambassador to Syria, Hassan Allawi, told Britain’s Times newspaper in an interview his country had photographs that showed Syrian officials with guerrillas who were captured when U.S. and Iraqi forces stormed Falluja last month.
