Colin May has a major article over at Eurosoc. He's a Canadian writer who blogs over at Innocents Abroad. He opines that our sudden action to aid Tsunami victims in concert with Australia, India, and Japan is the beginning of an alliance we have long sought. Four of the world's largest and most powerful democracies will hem China in and dominate the Pacific. He says that our policy makers see Europe as a declining nuisance that is less and less important. He also sees that Eastern Europe will decline also because they will adhere to the EU "laws" and the things that make them strong now will weaken them very soon. He observes that while we have opened up an alliance with other democracies France is allying themselves with all the world's thugs. Read it. He has some very good points.
