I disagreed with Belmont on Wednesday, regarding more boots on the ground, but yesterday's run down on troop size and things military really nails it. If you didn't read it, do yourself a favor and go HERE.
Maureen Dowd's piece in the NYT yesterday has drawn more comment in more places than anything that has been in that rag in two years. Her photo in Rolling Stone is HERE. I don't know where the full length photo is, but she looks super hot in it. Her piece, a full bore whine about men vs "powerful women" is HERE for six more days. The piece is so shallow that I'm surprised the Times ran it and I'm even more surprised that so many people are talking about it. She talks about accomplished men marrying their non-American speaking maids---duh, who wants to be around American women who shoot off their foul mouths in a language we can understand? She talks about "powerful women" not getting men----right, I'm just dying for some weight lifter with 18 inch arms and a ten foot brain. Hey, Maureen! Listen to the "powerful women" talk. They aren't women. They are men in dresses. Solution: powerful women should find themselves weak women and surrender to Lesbos.
WSJ has a much too long editorial on Conservative kids becoming a significant force on campus life all around the country. Worth reading fast.
Prince Harry: do any of us give a fat fuck? Jesus Christ, so he goes to a party where the theme is "bad taste" and he dressed like a Nazi. So fucking what? Who among us might not have done the same thing? I thought we got rid of these fucking Royals in 1776. I guess not. Zieg Heil, Harry, and have a great time at Buchenwald.
Elizabeth Rohm "came out" as a Lesbian on the last Law and Order show. The usual suspects are saying that Elizabeth is a clam licker and so is her character. I really don't know how this ever "helps" a career. I know the dyke casting directors will slobber all over her but does this stuff translate into work? And if Rohm isn't a lez she better get her lawyers on the phone. Yesterday.
What free speech? Mon Dieux, this is France.....Jean-Marie Le Pen, the Frenchy supposed fascist who said the Nazi occupation "not especially inhumane," will probably be put on trial. I just know two things: when I was a tiny little boy like in 1948, we were at dinner and I was told to eat, "remember all the starving Frenchmen." My uncle who was 82nd Airbourne said, "What starving Frenchmen?" He then went on to say that every frog he ever saw over there was nearly fat, meaning the Nazis were "varee varee good to zem." Then when I went to Germany to live the army talk was all about the war criminals sneaking into the French Zone because they would be taken good care of there. The French secretly possess a guilty conscience as severe as the Germans have, and for the same reasons. They have a TV Western called "Doc Mengele and The Riefenstahl uber Kid."
