WE ARE STILL PRICKS TO THE LEFT: Powell accused of atrocity tourism

.....multinational aid agencies described Mr Powell's trip as "atrocity tourism". Several aid agencies were angered because the trip had clogged up deliveries for almost four hours, preventing the arrival of all other flights and the departure of numerous aid missions and evacuations of severely wounded survivors.
From the ever reliable Guardian. We are even blamed for the water buffalo that clogged a runway.

Here is part of the BBB report on the media touted Oxfam charity. Read it and see if you want to donate there:
19: Clearly disclose how the charity benefits from the sale of products or services (i.e., cause-related marketing) that state or imply that a charity will benefit from a consumer sale or transaction. Such promotions should disclose, at the point of solicitation: (a) the actual or anticipated portion of the purchase price that will benefit the charity (e.g., 5 cents will be contributed to abc charity for every xyz company product sold), (b) the duration of the campaign (e.g., the month of October), (c) any maximum or guaranteed minimum contribution amount (e.g., up to a maximum of $200,000).

An Oxfam affinity credit card is promoted through an arrangement with a bank. Promotional literature for the card states, in part, that, "This is the only credit card that helps support Oxfam America...Each time you use your card to make a purchase - a contribution will be made automatically to Oxfam America." The promotion does not specify the actual or anticipated portion of each account opened, card renewed, or transaction to benefit the organization.
Good side is that 76% of their revenue goes to programs.
