OK, here's the problem with the new Firefox.....actually with the old Firefox, but you'd never know it. You cannot completely delete the old Firefox, no matter what you do. This is because all the extensions you have imported to "make it hotter" are hidden. They have names like P1220.667.125 and so forth. Firefox new cannot override Firefox old in a heck of a lot of systems. That is because Firefox new has the aforementioned extensions as a part of the program. When you un-install the old Firefox, either with the uninstall feature or the Windows "remove" feature, the old extensions remain. Like the old Apple Quick Time most of us came to hate.

I only mention all this because the presence of those lone wolf files corrupt your system unless you do something about it. Like take a risk and delete everything that remotely looks like an extension. I hired a hooker to do it. I know, did she blow my system?

Again, you risk a lot of angst unless you read the complaints at Mozilla. BTW, Opera has a problem overriding those hidden extentions as well.
