FIRST THE CROOKS, THEN THE LAWYERS
Prediction: the scumbag lawyers will paralyze reconstruction in New Orleans. First, they will paralyze all construction because of the "toxic ooze", then they will sue over every landmark, then Blacks will sue to get Black contractors all the jobs possible, and finally they will sue both the city and the state for negligence hoping to get their hands on the U.S. tax dollars that will flood the state. Unless Congress acts, and how can they since the Democrats are surrogates for the trial lawyers, this could get even worse.
And Lew Rockwell is beginning to get it too..... The Wetlands (swamp) preservation/restoration excuse for lawsuits are boundless as is the grab for tax dollars.

But you agree that reconstruction after natural disasters does tend to have a stimulative effect on the economy, especially in areas such as NO that have been suffering from chronically high unemployment ... mucho of jobs created for construction workers and other low-skilled workers.
Is thus inflationary? Yes, but so what, the real estate boom of the last few years has been inflationary.
Question is, will African Americans or Mexicans do the pick-and-shovel work to rebuild NO?
