For a graphic on how the people living on the East Coast will be destroyed this winter unless something happens, take a look at this chart. Normal prices used to be well under a dollar.... This is a time bomb with at best, 45 days til it goes off.

Prices are getting to where they should be. We've ben blessed with phenomenaly cheap energy for a long time. It's over.

Natural gas heated homes will fare just as bad. I'm aticipating $5-600 gas bills if we have a cold winter. Granted, my house is old, uninsulated and leaks like a sieve, but that's my reality.

Look for a lot of capital improvements (subsidized or not) to private residences to cut these costs.

High prices encourage conservation. Isn't that what bien pensant north eastern libs want? Careful what you wish for, you just might get it. Kyoto Rules!

p.s. still against war for oil? remember, keep the thermostat at 60 this winter, dress warmly and bath sparingly ( can't waste energy on hot water).
do your part to keep carbon emissions down. now boys and girls all together now...KYOTO NOW!
