SPECIAL BULLETIN: I posted in my essay yesterday that Sarah Silverman was the new Lenny Bruce, but hasn't been arrested, yet. So here come the blue noses and they are branding her a racist. She is as cutting edge as Bruce was and every bit as funny. Funnier. In the second link above, South Park and Ali "G" are included. Make no mistake, the dominant culture will try to kill her.

The article reads like an old time fundamentalist preacher ranting about the evils in the world around him, except its a lefty hack doing the ranting and the rant its about Silverman making fun of his values. I love it. It gives me the same warm feeling I get when I watch Paris burn.
Howie, are the same PR people getting to you that got to Slate, the New Yorker, etc.?
There was a rather puffy piece about Sarah S. in Slate last week. An astute poster noted that she'd recently been plugged in the The New Yorker and some other prominent media venues. This poster commented that publicity in multiple places at the same time was the sure sign of a powerful, deliberate PR campaign. So I assume SS's
shills got to you, too.
