There are familiar forms of selfrighteousness in which people become so suffused with the virtue of their cause that they cease to care about intellectual honesty. Dr. Chomsky, I fear, has succumbed to this malady of moralism.
Some of the best writing on the web is being writ at DoneWithMirrors a site that is too good for MSM. It is a group effort and, while I don't go there every day, whenever I do I read all of what I've missed. Give the site a try, you won't be sorry. The first paragraph of a post about the horrid Palestinian Authority goes like this:
All week long the image of Palestinian babies drowning in a foaming flood of human waste has been galling at me. Nobody should die like that. Nobody should live like that. War is hell. Merciful wars are short ones. Leaders who deliberately prolong a warfor generations, so that people are born, grow up, and die in it, build Hell on earth. While the Palestinian kleptocracy builds mansions for itself outside Jerusalem, in Gaza, babies drown in rivers of shit.
See what I mean? Good stuff.

The only thing wrong with the site, and I mean really really wrong, is their side bar links. The ugliest women ever declared hot, blog links to the most vaporous women bloggers you've never heard of, and article links to sites that you have to pay money to enter. Actually hurts their site. Go there anyway.

For an absolutely tasteless celebrity "ass crack" contest, City Rag is the place for you.....

For whatever reason, there doesn't seem to be a comments link on the post in which you link to Done With Mirrors, and I can't find an e-mail address for you, which was my preference anyway.

You need to know that the "hot woman" to whom you refer is...someone very near and dear (and no, I'm not talking about myself) to the main blogger. I think your comment about that was a little gratuitous, regardless, but in context...ouch. A, to put it diplomatically and delicately, definite faux pas.

I'm not sure what you're talking about with the regard to the vaporous women bloggers.

And, though I've never asked him, I assume the links he's chosen are there as much to reflect what he reads. People can do with that what they wish.

Normally, I wouldn't have bothered with the previous two paragraphs, but since I was already here to expressly to write the second, I thought I'd throw them in.

1. Thanx for dropping by.
2. If I run an unattractive woman on my site and say she is a hot babe I would expect a ton of negative feedback.
3. I didn't like to all the blogs on site but the first two were written by women and the content was vapor--air- lacking in substance-- not useful for anything other than taking up space---that's my opinion. Still a really good site.
