Things change....

Back when I was in the service the Stars and Stripes was total shit brass and political propaganda that most of us took with a heavy dose of doubt, mainly because actions in which we were involved were often mis-reported. Apparently not now. Take a look at the Stars and Stripes today. Better than the NYT or LA Times that's for sure......
