McCain, The Brownshirts, and voting

On Second Thought, via VDH:

In short, anyone who saw the Democratic debate Thursday night can envision the new future on their horizon: identity politics and self-congratulation over race and gender; tax increases (back to estate tax hikes, income tax rates go up, payroll tax caps lifted, etc); internationalism for the sake of internationalism (defer to the U.N., E.U., apologies for past conduct, contextualizing terrorism), more government (teachers, the poor, the middle class, etc. all need new government programs to add to those we have), and legislating judges (more Ginsburgs and Breyers).
Victor Davis Hanson on his blog Saturday.  It wasn't McCain sayin' that shit folks. Then take a look at what the future dictatorship will look like, and this should scare the shit out of all of us. This is a naked threat made by powerful Senators. BUT there isn't a GOP candidate out there who will stand up. And should you think these threats aren't Democratic Party wide, check this out from Democratic HQ. The election hasn't even started and the Brown Shirts are marching.

The is no single GOP candidate that will stand up, no. But the party as a whole may, and many Demo's will join them.

What we are seeing now is the collpase of the leadership, in both parties.

The conservatives, as usual, have their heads up their asses. I'm fifty years old, and this is the best, most promising election for conservatism I HAVE EVER SEEN.

The Dem is going to be a flaming liberal.

The GOP candidate, prob. McCain, is WEAK. Conservatives despise him. Will they stay home? Let me repeat: McCain is WEAK. He NEEDS, and I mean NEEDS, conservative support! This is the greatest leverage for real, hard bargaining we may ever see in our life time! Time for back room deals with Mr. McCain! If they are smart, the conservatives can practically stage a coup! If they are smart.
