The Plagiarist

Any of us in the writing game has known a writer or three who have written about vacations to places not visited at all. It's no big deal except this guy (reported by Drudge) made six million bucks doing it. A pal of mine told me he wrote better stuff out of his imagination than he could ever write out of the real thing because "bullshit" like bad hotel bell boy or an ugly woman at the lobby desk didn't cloud his opinions.
