Espanol, Por Favor

How come Obama has lost his lead in the polls? Every once in a while I have to eat or picnic with people outside of my usual circle (and I hate those assholes) but we had a meeting on the beach with about sixty people and the talk (without yelling believe it or not) came down to Obama; WTF was he doing? This is LA and at least three quarters of the people were either liberals or communists and their inclination is for the Black Guy. All were very upset at his statement that our children should learn to speak Spanish. People were totally pissed at this and they were either vocal or shook their heads. This has been a major mistake, whether it rises to Dukakis being philosophical regarding the rape of his wife we may never know, but this hostility was from a Democratic crowd. This issue has awakened the other disagreements within a lot of people, and these people are pissed. This does not mean they will vote for McCain but they may withhold their vote for president while voting for all other categories. This Spanish thing really runs deep. BTW, more than a few have their kids taking Mandarin so they could do business there when they grew up. Obama looks increasingly like the elite Liberal many accuse him of being. Stay tuned.... Oh, and Iraq? The Bush haters all responded that there would be no AlQaeda in Iraq had Bush not invaded the place. Our victory seems to piss them off even more.
