A student at Oregon State (duh beeves) tells me that there is a petition at that school signed by thousands that demands the state put GPS units in every car for the purpose of learning "driving habits" and not to trace the movements of every driver in the state. I only rest assured that three minutes after this Big Brother intrusion into private activities is implemented a few hundred enterprising hackers (Devine Interventionists) will teach us how to fuck the entire process over. The so-called intellectual justification for this horror is that as we shithead consumers switch to more gas efficient cars we will be screwing the government out of money that they claim is actually their property by birth right and they need to steal it back from us.
