A tale of the Crunch: Boy have I hit a soft spot. Really have the shorts so I got $200 for my birthday and just had to go to WalMart for some clothes. Several things about Mart: they have every size, something that is important for me because I have short legs (29") and most stores have zero pants in that size; WalMart has nice looking stuff; shirts are cotton; and then there are the prices. I bought four pair of pants and four assorted shirts, an array that would have easily run me $300 in my normal store. Cost at Mart: $121. I then bought two pair of really good casual shoes for $110 at my usual place. So for $221 I'm set for at least a year.

Now for something that might help you. When you buy casual pants, running or gym, from discount stores the lengths are around 40" which are much too long for anything short of a giraffe. But I have discovered something called "Stitchery" which is a wafer thin strip that you pull off a spool to the desired length, cut it, place it to where you'd have the pants cut, and then iron with a steam iron. The result is a seamless shortening of just about anything. Cost is around $2.50 at fabric stores, website with insane prices here.

I can't stand going to Wally World. Look at going to the outlet malls instead. I buy most of my clothes from Vanity Fair.... they carry levis, wrangler, also name brand slacks and shirts. All 50% off and they are not 2nd's.
