Afghanistan: Obama Becomes a Murderer
Do you seriously think that Russia won't arm the Taliban exactly as we armed them twenty years ago enabling the Taliban to oust the Russians from Afghanistan? It's payback time. This adventure is guaranteed to be a bloodbath for our troops in a war we cannot win. Jesus, with the single exception of a Brutal British occupation in the 19th century, this country has been unconquerable since Alexander the Almost Great tried to take it over. It cannot be done. Period. How in the hell Obama ever got on this path I will never know but he absolutely must be pushed off it. We are sitting ducks out in a wilderness at the mercy of GPS guided missals, artillery, and ground to ground rockets. God dam it. God dam it. Now for something that will totally scare the shit right out of you, but not out of Obama. Russia now has #1 fighter plane in the world! The SU-30- Vectored Thrust with Canards. As you watch this airplane, look at the canards moving along side of, and just below the canopy rail. The "canards" are the Small wings forward of the main wings. The smoke and contrails provide a sense of the actual flight path, sometimes in reverse direction. This video is of an in-flight demonstration flown by the Russian SU 30 (30 MK ) fighter aircraft. You will not believe what you are about to see.
The fighter can stall from high speed, stopping forward motion in seconds. (full stall). Then it demonstrates an ability to descend tail first without causing a compressor stall... It can also recover from a flat spin in less than a minute.
These maneuver capabilities don't exist in any other aircraft in the world today.. Take a look at the video with the sound up. This aircraft is of concern to U.S. and NATO planners. We don't know which nations Will soon be flying the SU-30MK, it has been delivered to Venezuela, Indonesia, and India that we know of. Hopefully China isn't on the delivery list

Canards and vectored thrust were among many concepts examined to extend our fighter aircraft performance. Neither our current or next generation aircraft now poised for funding & production can in any way match the performance of this Russian aircraft NOW FLYING in any near combat situation. Somehow the bankrupt Russian aircraft industry has out produced our complex politically tainted aerospace industry.

This is the new Russian fighter bomber SU 30 which according to USAF reports is superior to the F-15 in every way. If you click below the video you will see links to an SU 30 crash at an airshow a couple of years ago. It's not unconquerable, the British did it.
Your point is still correct, however. The Russians couldn't do it for the same reason we can't, the enemy retreats to a friendly country, Pakistan, from which it can still attack. We can't stop that without destroying our ally, Pakistan. :)
The solution is a partition of the of the cuntry along an east-west line, top half us, bottom half Taliban. This enables us to keep air bases in the region, should they be needed. And to show the bottom half how the top half lives. This means a deal with Russia, India, China, Pakistan, etc.
Is the big O smart enough to do this? Don't think so! Sending more troops in is just stupid. But try telling that to the troops themselves!! :)

A note about the air bases: we should stop, and I mean STOP, ALL MISSLE STRIKES AGAINST TARGETS IN PAKISTAN!!!! Where is the morality of blowing up a fucking wedding, to kill one man? It makes enemys, and it's just wrong! The Paks don't go there, because THEY KNOW BETTER. We should follow their lead, let them handle this business in the way they know. Fuck, our military is so fucking stupid at times.
The Brits did indeed ruthlessly occupied it for around 25 years back in the 19th century but the endless slaughter brought in the Russians and both countries bit it.
It is spectacular video. The F-22 will have shot this guy down two minutes before he even knows there is a fight on. Do you think these third world air forces can fly this aircraft? The answer is no.
USAF says they cannot. While none have been captured the planes have had combat simulated with computers and not only is the F15 fucking smoked but so is the F22. There is also mention of the pilot skill which may not be present in Russia and the charge that the USAF is inventing the fucking thing in order to fund a new weapon.

and that's exactly what they'd be, since they would *by definition* have to be piloted by russian mil pilots.

it may (or may not) be the best fighter out there, but it's not going up against us in afghanistan. they'll cheerfully sell the talibs SAM's, and IED fixin's, and slings and rocks.

Where the plane goes pilots go, how the hell do you think they get there? Of course the Russians won't let Third World slugs have a $500mil plane to fuck around with. The danger for us right now is the ease with which the Russians can cross borders and nail our asses, something this plane can do with impunity because the stealth properties are outstanding. Dog fighting is a thing of the past but this plane has escapability from missile shots. And you betray an astonishing level of racial superiority regarding the "towel heads" capability of flying modern planes. We had similar attitudes toward the Japanese prior to WWII and they handed our asses to us with the Zero and their well trained pilots til late 1942. The Chinese can learn, the North Koreans can learn, and I think the Indonesians can learn. But the Russian pilots will go with their planes and they have already learned.
No way the Russians attack US forces directly. Why the fuck would they bomb US forces in Afghanistan anyway? Doesn't make any sense. Too risky anyway and there is nothing in it for them. They aren't that stupid. An why should they even bother? The Russians get what they want without firing a shot! Look at the Polish missile debacle. Obama got rolled like a bowling ball.

now then: as to your precious little points in re how our awful racial attitudes towards japan and its pilots got us in trouble in ww2. really?
yeah, the japs had surprised us by developing the finest fighter on earth, the zero. we didn't know it; and when we went up against them in our crappy old fighters, the zeros (and zekes; and bettys) ran circles around them. this went on for all of - as you just admitted - for all of about a *year*. as you yourself wrote, by "late 1942", we'd managed to overcome the japs 12-year head start on planes and training, and were handing them their heads. it took all of 1 year, and the 1st 6 months really didn't count. and that's with us starting from *ground zero*. no pilots at all; and shit planes to fly. the first secret was: we changed standard attack tactics, and they just couldn't handle it. ("yankee bastards not flying as manual said they would!!")
as for the rooskies using a SU-30 on us, even from *across their own borders*, they won't do it because they'll still get caught. the missiles aren't radar-invisible; the awacs will see (and tape) it; as will ground based radars; and we'll have pilot transcripts. ("missiles fired from russian airspace inbound.") again, those are overt acts of war. the russians - having seen us tear through saddam's "battle-hardened 4th largest army in the world" (twice) as if they were cotton candy - the russians AIN'T gonna do that.
