The elimination of a tax deduction for charitable giving is simply an attempt by government to kill off private charities and substitute government welfare. The purpose is to force everyone in need to go to the bigger and bigger government for "help" and thus make government even more intrusive and powerful. This effort will be endorsed by the government employee unions and the rest of the population involved in endeavors that produce nothing; the non productive client class seizing more and more power. No more evil Santas around stores or those intrusive "half way houses" and shelters; from now on it's strictly the government and they will hold charities in their iron grip forever.

That's the Welfare State Obama and the socialists envision. It's not Zeig Hiel it's just Zeig Snore.
