Suspicious Thoughts

Search the want ads for the magic job: "Lay Around and Make Big Money."  The polls continually show a very close election in spite of near record unemployment and a failing administration on almost all fronts.  What to make of all this?  Try this one on: with nearly half the population on the dole in one form or another this class "on the dole" is fearful of losing their billions in undeserved benefits should His Sponginess gets the boot and his replacemnet cut them off.  Vote for the Lackey in Chief and continue not earning what income the government gives out seems to be the storyline.  Why work when you can get all you need by lying around on your ass?

CA Voters Sent no Message at All

Twenty three percent of eligible California voters participated in Tuesday's special election that supposedly "sent a message" regarding taxes and "high spending" politicians. Actually only about 16% sent the message, the balance of the twenty three percent approving all tax increases. I'm a believer that taking no position is actually taking a position although what the position is nobody really knows. What we do know is that most of the balance of eligible voters are on some kind of entitlement or government employees, both groups are on the dole and people on the dole, by definition are lazy assholes too lazy to care about anything other than losing existing benefits. If this election had actually been about losing benefits already on the books something other than the tiny turnout would be the news of the day. Meanwhile it's entitlements (Welfare) uber alles and don't think for a second that there is any other message there.
