Reservists court martialled for stealing equipment and parts. This is a story that won't go away. As I commented in an earlier post, when I was overseas it was actually my job to somehow get what we needed, no matter what. I forged emergency requests, found wrecked planes and vehicles, anything to get the parts. Read this, I think Rumsfeld is going to hear about this stuff forever.

Don't worry. Things will go fine. I'm sure Chrenkoff's really, really, ridiculously good news from Iraq will convince you that "freedom is on the march", and victory is right around the corner.

Reading much of the story, they weren't convicted for scrounging. They were convicted for stealing. They stole from other units, deliberately removed unit markings, and then lied about it. did you ever steal another squadron's aircraft because you felt you were short a bird? That's what they did. And it wasn't for any other reason than they didn't want to make multiple trips to move their gear.
They were ABANDONED vehicles!!!!!!!!!!!
