FIREFOX WARNING
The new FIREFOX has destroyed me. NOT COMPATABLE WITH BLOGGER. DO NOT DOWNLOAD IT, AND YOU CANNOT TALK TO THOSE ASSHOLES TO GET THE OLD VERSION BACK. Don't download because it wipes out your themes, it will not subsitute colors, and you cannot recover and go back to the old one.. No Blogging til I can fix this thing, and from the Mozillazine, nobody can fix it and nobody can get the old version back. AND THE HELP IS VIRTUALLY UNUSEABLE because they "improved" that too. An unmitigated disaster....FOR YOU

Howard you got the new firefox to work? I use it on account of my crappy middle aged eyes. unlike IE for Windows ( unlike the Mac version) one cannot easily scale the font size on the fly which I can with firefox by simply using the control and plus keys. oddly enough this key combination doesn't work for me using Netscape 8x ( although it is based on mozilla). Hasn't it occurred to Bill Gates that not every web surfer is a kid with good eyesight? When he figures this out, stops shipping beta products and ships rather really debugged products and finally junks Windows and ships a truly secure and idiot proof OS he and MSFT will be Masters Of The Universe.
The best computer hardware and OS in the world for my money is what I use in my business, the IBM A/S 400. to call it as strong and reliable as a German tank would be a misnomer. No German tank was that strong or reliable. I have been using the same box for eleven years, running 24/7 and it has NEVER crashed. NEVER. Every Sunday at 4am it does an auto IPL ( mainframe/mid-range jargon for reboot). thats all the down time, one hour a week ( that is because I don't have someone manually doing a few housekeeping functions, otherwise the system could run months without an IPL)other than an occasional hurricane power loss of more than 15 hours ( the backup battery life but I am going to get a generator after Wilma) or a rare hardware upgrade. That is why The Federal Reserve Banks use them. The OS is so tight and secure that allegedly a few years ago IBM offered a million dollar prize for anyone who could write a virus for that OS. there were no winners. Hello there Bill Gates! I wonder what system MFST uses to actually run the business.
The core of IBM engineering is superb. they make money in spite of themselves.And that is truly a shame. Can you imagine a combination of that level of quality engineering married to the same level of marketing? Truly a wet tech dream stock! but I guess not in this life.
