The full text of the Pope's remarks are HERE in case y0u haven't read them. Actually, it is relatively arcane and of interest only to Catholic intellectuals, but Muslims want to kill and be killed so they can go to Paradise.....

Reynolds
offers this piece of fiction today:

"Gasoline prices continue to tumble briskly, dropping Monday to a U.S. average of less than $2.50 a gallon for the first time since March. Service stations even are beginning old-fashioned gas wars to avoid losing customers to price-cutting rivals."
Here in LA the low prices charged by some have nothing to do with prices anywhere else, which can differ by thirty cents per gallon in stations across the street from one another. Low today is $2.79 with at least half the stations charging more than $3. So who goes to them? The only thing I can figure is that some businesses have credit cards good only at these stations; there are a lot of people paying $3.05 this AM.

Prof. Reynolds seems to think that being an anti-Leftist requires him to cheerlead at every scrap of economic good news.

He's really naive and juvenile when Instapundit ventures outside his area of expertise, which is legal scholarship.

Six months ago the closest station to me had them most expensive gas. It changed owners. Now it's the cheapest for at least 5 miles around. Go figure?
