Bill Kristol in the Weekly Standard thinks the Democrats have stumbled into a major trap on the subject of American security. I agree, and McCain is right with them. In fact, McCain is probably toast for an '08 run for the presidency because he's totally against public opinion on illegal immigration too. He's wrong on two gut issues that resonate with both Republicans and Democrats. He has a great resumé but life is more than a resumé.
