The only reason that Camille Paglia ever got attention was that she claimed to by a dyke libertarian, and sort of a Repuplican by implication and wishful thinking. She has had diarrhea of the word processor for years, writing endless essays about whatever, and now she is "reviewing" the latest feminist bullshit story about Marie Antionette, "a woman subjugated by an awful fucking man." The art community has given us that great but unknown woman, Eva Peron, the wife of one of the worst dictators South America ever saw, who was---say the artistes---a wonderful woman who we are to believe had a great singing voice. They attempted to excuse Leni Riefenstahl, the idolizer of Hitler and all things Nazi, by making a movie called "The Wonderful, Horrible Life of Leni Riefenstahl" which finally could not back off from the fact that she loved good old Adolph---but deserves respect because she is a genius. So now a woman has made "a film" about that wonderful democrat, Marie Antionette. Now this is not a "film" made by a nobody. This one was made by a Super Lib Hollywood insider riding in on her father's considerable coattails, (one FF Copola) and to be shown on---what else??---PBS. Paglia spends at least four paragraphs praising the color, slobbering all over herself about the great music sound track, and starring a sort of "celebrity personality," Kirsten Dunst, (shown at left playing her Oscar nominated role of Al Capone) If Paglia ever had anything to say it was always buried in her impossible to decipher prose and she is at it again. Her essay and complete waste of time are HERE. She gets an "A" for hyping herself. For those of you who want NSF pix of Dunst, here they are.

Kirstin Dunst? I'd hit that.
