EU, FULL OF SHIT AGAIN?

The European fright over our budget deficit, domestic spending, and runaway borrowing can either be shrugged off as sour grapes from a loser economy or as a clear caution from a group that has historically led the West in much creativity, invention, and prosperity. We point right now to the fact that their job creation machine is paralyzed by their arcane rules, lazy work force, and bureaucracies seemingly designed to stifle innovation and for those reasons the EU just doesn't count any more. Big mistake.

There is not a European alive who doesn't remember the insane German inflation of 1922, and they will NOT run deficits or lower rates to kick start the economy. The loss of respect we show ignores that Europeans have invented at least 100,000 things that are patented including the steam engine, power loom, polyester, penicillin, sewing machine, television, Telescope, thermometer. printing press, long barreled rifle, the diesel engine, and even the fucking mousetrap. Their contributions in science (Newton, Einstein), medicine, and the arts are unquestionable, yet we are looking at them like they are a collection of assholes not capable of modern thought.

They are now pointing out that our spending of other people's money is the road to hell. We borrow and borrow without a concern of ever having to pay it back and sooner or later someone is going to call in a billion dollars or so in bonds and then it's over. Today's perfectly awful T-Bond auction is a part of all this and if Obama and the Dems don't pay attention we will be paying very high interest when we go to borrow.
