ORACULATIONS

The NYT and the WSJ, two eight hundred pound gorillas, are now engaged in an epic pissing contest that may do the country more good than all of us pissed off bloggers could ever do. The Journal summed up a position that I agree with:

Forgive us if we conclude that a newspaper led by someone who speaks this way (Pinch's "I feel so bad" address) to college seniors has as a major goal not winning the war on terror but obstructing it.

And the lefty reporters on the Journal's own beat also share the NYT/LAT mission to obstruct the war on terror. Personally, I think they are all motivated by the same deeply held conviction that America is evil and must be destroyed.

Markets: in times like these it's best to look at a long time chart so you can bring volatility into proper perspective. Go there and check the Dow monthly, you will see that the current volatility is no big deal but is actually building a base.

Flag burning: I could give a fat fuck. The flag burning during the Viet Nam period just made people so angry that the war was dragged out. Flag burning is simply the first refuge of the mentally challenged.

CONSUMER ALERT: I got a recorded message on my answering machine from AT%T telling me they had changed my service and added a service as I requested. I never ordered new service. When I called customer service they told me I couldn't make changes. So now I'm in for a fight. WATCH OUT FOR AT&T

I have been virtually disabled by a pinched nerve in my upper left shoulder, but the NYT "outing" of our efforts to follow the money makes me endure the pain. Most bloggers and writers have hashed it out pretty well; treason in an Armani suit and all the right connections destroyed our ability to ferret out Terror Cells; The Left reaction, now appearing, will try to make us think that 2,500 American dead soldiers are all just a game and that the NYT did us all a favor by encouraging terror orgs to raise funds in a new way; that the secret observation of money transfers had become useless because the Terrorists have newer and better ways of raising money; and that press freedom to report is the most important part of our country. As for the last point, you can bet that none of these people making this point have sons or daughters anywhere other than some Ivy League student union.

Face it guys, we have in our midst a ten million strong Fifth Column, defined as "A clandestine subversive organization working within a country to further an invading enemy's military and political aims." This Fifth column has virtually taken control of almost all media, movies, TV, and print. There are millions out there who think the NYT/LATimes "outing" of our effort to use all the tools at our command to fight terrorism is a wonderful thing.

John Murtha, the latest of the Cindy Sheehan patriots, sums it up for the Left in this country; "American presence in Iraq is more dangerous to world peace than nuclear threats from North Korea or Iran.

Make no mistake, these people all think that America is evil and must be stamped out. The traitors in the press do not think of themselves as citizens of the U.S., instead they pimp themselves and their ideology as "Citizens of the World" out to stop America once and for all.

Are they accessories to murder? Absolutely. Are they traitors? You bet. But these bastards dominate Hollywood, the news media, and our literature all of which will dutifully build a tower of pig refuse to honor themselves and deify these bastards.

Six months ago I stated I'd never vote for a Republican in '06 because I'm fed up. The stench of this of liberal fecal matter has changed my mind.

Superman movie getting rave reviews: it's "art" and shit. I ask you, is anybody in their right mind going to see a movie called Superman looking for art? Reviews that might make me see it:

Everything you ever wanted to know about the Duke rape case and the witch hunt that is still going as left wing faculty and feminists still smear the kids, is here. Adding my own experience: Yesterday at a barbeque where the uncle of a local basketball phee-nom was present, he offered the opinion that Duke will have a tough time recruiting from now on. He said his nephew was strongly leaning to Duke both because of Coach K and the academics but the recruiters from all the other colleges were pointing out the witch hunt at Duke complete with documentation. His nephew has all but ruled out Duke and is leaning strongly to Stanford, UCLA, or Georgetown with UCLA his most likely choice. You can bet every blue chipper in the country is very well read about the "rape" of that "poor Black Woman" and will consider options.

Inflation watch: check the CRB index which has just fallen below the 200 day moving average. This is not a consumer index but all basic farm, food, and metals are included in this index. Consumer prices are sure to follow soon.

Suppose you went to an NBA Championship game where the best players in the world displayed their skills; spectacular shooters, dribblers, passers, and teams. Suppose the final score was 4-2 or 2-0, would you ever go back? Well folks, that is World Cup Soccer. A game where a team of spectacular players from Brazil can only generate one goal over a three hour 90 minute period of time. Soccer is a bore. A crashing, crushing, suffocating waste of talent and time. Response to a comment regarding the "boring" American Gridiron Football game: the scores of the '06 bowl season are, Rose 41-38; Pure Vision 35-28; Hawaii Bowl 49-48; and so on. In fact almost every bowl game had eight touchdowns and point spreads between 1 and six points. Soccer?

Markets: how low can gold go? Well support is in the $540 area, but one must always keep in mind that gold has no utility whatsoever. This useless commodity is for looks only and most people around the world have no experience using gold as currency, it's just an idea to them. Also keep in mind that the millions who have bought gold at $600 and up have lost their asses. Gold is matching oil. Stocks: keep in mind that "business" has bought back a trillion dollars worth of their own stock over the past year or so which means that this fall is actually worse than it appears.

World Cup: NBA scores are 95-90, soccer scores are 2-0. What are you going to watch? I was actually ready to like soccer until they started playing the game. And those phony European "injuries" are more than my stomach can stand. That plus the endless standing around by those "in shape" athletes doesn't work for me. But, we fielded a team that was a bunch of midgets. There is no way that a guy 5'9" can either defend or score on a corner kick when all the opponents are 6' or better and a few are 6'8".

BTW hockey in HiDef is an incredible sight. Just wait til HiDef has large market penetration, you will see their ratings soar.

And thank God for bloggers, Mudville is also voicing differing opinions and focuses on the ever more famous Murtha's "inaccuracies." WaPo is pulling back on the story as well. Keep your mind open on this one. The MSM is being accused by some of fabricating the entire thing so their agenda can be highlighted. BTW an unbiased Time "reporter" spent a Thanksgiving dining with the Taliban.

SHOCK AWE: The LA Times is running a headline announcing another side to the story: "Lawyers Defend Marines in Raid."
They print it but wind up calling the Marines liars.

Ann Coulter, the bitch Goddess, the anti-Marx, the uber demon agent of the Right, has a genius for publicity---and the truth. I mean attacking the 9/11 widows is like going after Jesus in The Vatican, you just know you will get results by the ream.

In her new book she goes after "The Jersey Girls," that bunch of left wing harpies that I blasted here a couple of years ago (reprinted below). Coulter is right correct regarding these sleazy willing tools of the Left:

A few days ago I decided to write a short simple piece on the 9/11 "Moms" AKA Families for Peaceful Tomorrows. My purpose was to show a simple diagram of their money and connections to Left Wing causes. Simple? No way. The maze of various conduits for both money and Left Wing groups would make Enron proud. All these Leftist groups set up an impenetrable tangle of relationships so complex that it is impossible to find the "simple" set up. With the Left, as with corporate criminality, nothing is simple.

I HIDING

First, each and every Leftist group literally controls the Google search sites containing their names. They do this by flooding each and every site with "Links" to one another. The result is that there will be as many as 25 Google entries that praise your search target before you may find something that evaluates the target or is critical.

Second, these groups are incestuous. People from one group will appear on ten or more other groups, some of which are honest. Their tenticles slither into every nook and cranny of Left Life: enviornmental, labor, anti-war, anti-NAFTA, secularism, and so on. Their pupose is clearly to divert attention from their main goals which are the destruction of our economic system and the destruction of Republican Democracy.

II REVEALING

So instead of the simple diagram of the 9/11 "Moms" (Latest name is "The Jersey Girls) I had planned, I will lead you through a maze until either you or I get exhausted, that way you can get a feel of what the Left is doing and how they do it. In case you are wondering, they learned their tunneling craft from the Communists of the 30s, 40s and 50s. More than a few of these "cause" groups are Communists, and they have plenty of money from foundations, instead of Moscow.

Everybody has a right to be whatever they want to be, Left or Right. We all know Limbaugh is Right, Franken is Left, and so on. They hide from nobody. The 9/11 "Moms" are an entirely different matter. They are a throwback to the "Popular Front" days of the Communist Party USA. The Communists were particularly adept at hiding behind "Popular Fronts". The technique has always been the same: throw up a picture of George Washington, Jesus Christ, or Abraham Lincoln, come up with a great sounding name for your organization, (preferably contianing words like Mom, Patriot, Heritage etc.) and then launch Communist propaganda and raise money to fund some awful stuff. That was Communist Plots for Dummies. It's different now.

III "MODERN" POPULAR FRONTS

The 9/11 "Moms" are a popular front. Hiding behind that name and "Families for Peaceful Tomorrows" they are attacking the Administration, the wars in both Afghanistan and Iraq, and supporting many terrorist organizations by raising money and donating the money to "causes". These "causes" will in turn donate to someone else who will donate to someone else who will donate back to the original donor. Get it?. The string of "donations" can be as long as fifty organizations. Nobody knows the source of the money. Drug cartel, anyone?

"Fungible" is the operative word in any discussion of money donated to these kinds of groups. When we say the funds are "fungible" we mean that when donations are made for flood relief it allows money already allocated for flood relief inside the organization to be "switched" to something else. All of us are familiar with what the 9/11 funds did with money that was supposed to go to families. That was stealing. Money that went to the Red Cross for 9/11 relief meant that money already inside the Red Cross designed for disasters like that suddenly became available for things like salaries, symphony orchestras in Brooklyn, and abortion mills. The Red Cross donations were "fungible".

The 9/11 "Moms" or "Families for Peaceful Tomorrows" is not just a group formed to agitate our government to find the "truth" about 9/11. It is a front for raising money to be "donated" to other places. All Left. All against the Bush Administration. Against the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Some go to back to far Left groups like The Tides Foundation (which gave them money) which in turn will fund "moveon.org" (Bush is Hitler ads).

Tides is funded by people like Maria Teresa Thierstein Simoes-Ferreira Heinz Kerry, the one with the billion bucks to throw around. Tides in their turn have funded Peaceful Tomorrows to the tune of millions.

I'd like to call these organization "Daisy Chain" fronts. The long chain of incestuous connections can stretch through a maze of fifty or more "fronts" all having one thing in common; they are against any capitalism, against almost all democratic government that isn't Marxist, and they dislike America a lot. Recipients of "fungible donations" go to fronts like Democracy Now, an organization that wants to stop the Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA) which is part of NAFTA. Remember money that goes to the "Moms" can end up there. Money from Tides can end up with the "Moms" and be passed through the Daisy Chain. The sheer number of connecting groups will exhaust investigators. Families for Peaceful Tomorrows (9/11 Moms) send a rep bearing their name to the Institute for Healing of Memories, in partnership with the Desmond Tutu Leadership Academy in South Africa. This Healing of Memories is another front claiming: goals that are an exploration of "anger, hatred, shame and guilt, and the journeys toward forgiveness, healing and wholeness" topics which supposedly resonate with Peaceful Tomorrows' mission to seek effective, nonviolent solutions to terrorism (against wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, and wars against Terror), while acknowledging a common experience with all people similarly affected by violence throughout the world. Get the complexity? Oh, and they boo Condeleeza Rice at the 9/11 hearings.

IV HOW THEY TRY TO DODGE CONNECTIONS

When accused by the New York Post, Wall Street Journal, and FOX News of receiving money from the Left Wing Tides Foundation the "9/11 Moms" issued a single statement with two conflicting paragraphs; one denying getting money from Tides Foundation, and the second admitting getting money from Tides. Keep in mind the term "fungible" in the second paragraph

1. "Peaceful Tomorrows has no connection with the Heinz or Kerry families through Tides Foundation, the Tides Center or any other entity. Nor does Peaceful Tomorrows endorse any candidate for any political office. (In fact, they are almost an arm of the DNC)

2. Peaceful Tomorrows has been a not-for-profit project of the Tides Center since July of 2002. (The one they have "no connection" with) As our fiscal sponsor, the Tides Center provides administrative and financial services (there's the fungible) that allow the staff and membership of Peaceful Tomorrows to focus on work related to our mission. We raise money for our own work and we pay Tides Center 9% of those funds in exchange for vital services such as invoice payment, tax services, and insurance.

So they get money from Tides and give money back to them. In the normal world of the rest of us this is called a "kickback", "commission" or "vig". Lots of luck figuring out the net. The 9/11 Moms are clearly involved in Left Wing politics and fund raising.

V TENTACLES

The 9/11 Moms have done other things. The "Moms" support legislation to repeal sections of the USA Patriot Act. Using money and good will they get from using their "plight" one of them went to Afghanistan to apologize for our actions there and offering solace. The Wall Street Journal ran a piece containing the following:

What we have, instead, are politically motivated activists standing willingly as a "front" organization for the Democratic Party. They've traded on the press's reluctance to question their motives, hoping for a free run to impugn Mr. Bush every time he discusses terrorism from now until the election. Families for Peaceful Tomorrows is hardly alone; scratch the surface and many of the other groups and individuals making a fuss have similar ties.

The New York Post took a healthy swipe at the poor "Moms" too. After pointing out that the group had at most only two dozen members and represent no more than 1/100 of the families of 9/11, The Post also stated that besides a "far left agenda and a festering hatred" of the Bush Administration the "Moms".....:
....group was formed specifically to oppose the entire War on Terror: Not just the campaign against Saddam Hussein, but also the toppling of the Taliban in Afghanistan.
Indeed, the group's leaders traveled to Afghanistan, drawing a detestable moral equivalence between the 9/11 attacks and U.S. bombing of the Taliban and opposing "violent responses to terrorism."
Then, before the onset of Operation Iraqi Freedom, a Peaceful Tomorrows delegation went to Baghdad to "demonstrate solidarity" with Iraqis - a move that Saddam's deputy, Tariq Aziz, termed at the time "a very important international development."

Ain't the Moms terrific? This self designated "victim group" then set out to smear the Soldiers and Marines in combat. The 9/11 Moms demanded that Congress set up a $20 million fund to compensate Afghan "victims" of the U.S. military. Any doubt about the connection to the DNC should be put to rest with this, again from the Post...

......back in January 2003, the group (Moms) said had it had gotten a "verbal commitment" to the fund proposal from the junior senator from Massachusetts - John F. Kerry

Now you see just a part of the labyrinth of inter- related incestuous funding of this particular Left Wing "Popular Front" group.

VI SUGAR DADDIES AND TRUST FUND BABIES

But it gets better. The "Moms" have a sugar daddy. That sugar daddy is none other than the wifey-poo of Democratic Presidential candidate, John (Heinz) Kerry. Now Maria Teresa Thierstein Simoes-Ferreira Heinz Kerry ain't giving no money to a bunch of pissing and moaning widows. Unless those widows support her hubby and are Left.

Now wifey-poo ain't stupid. She isn't going get caught giving these whining phonies any money directly. So a few of her THREE foundations send "fungible" money to another foundation called The Tides Foundation . Since this is all foundation to foundation, the true sources of the "donations" are secret. George Soros? Barbra Streisand? Oil for Food? Nobody knows. Money comes from Heinz and is "donated" to Tides. Tides also gets lots and lots of other money. It has been described as money laundering for fake charaties. The money is effectively laundered before distribution. She donates to Tides and Tides donates to "The Moms". Is the donation really from Maria Teresa Thierstein Simoes-Ferreira Heinz Kerry? She says "no". The Post again....

A spokesman for Kerry insists that her donations to Tides were earmarked specifically for environmental charities based in Pennsylvania. But money is fungible - and the Tides Foundation has a lot more than greening the earth on its plate.

Tides is as Left as Left can be. It has given millions to anti-war groups since 9/11 - particularly the extremist MoveOn.org., they of the Hitler is Bush ads and so on. Tides has funded groups like United for a Fair Economy, which has been involved in violent anti-globalization street protests.

One example of Teresa Inc.. funding would be a group called The Ruckus Society. These guys trashed Seattle back in 1999. Teresa etc. also funds the Ruckus training of enviro-terrorists in the practice of "monkey-wrenching" - the willful destruction of construction equipment and so on. Thanks Teresa. Tides also gets money from Soros who has made defeating Bush his Job One.

The only job of The Tides Foundation is to distribute other foundations' money while shielding the identity of the actual donors. A Drug Cartel for Leftist ideology.

I'm tired now and I'm sure you are too but this is just ONE phony group funded by the Left. In this case the MOMS are also directed by a uber Left guy named Fenton who......etc., etc., etc.,

NBC is shit and deserves their ratings. This AM the most anticipated tennis match in a year was played at the French Open (Federer vs David Nalbandian, the only guy with a lifetime edge against Federer). NBC has the exclusive rights, and as of this time (8AM PDT), a full two hours after the match was played, they haven't shown it. All of us knew about an hour ago that after winning the first set Nalbandian quit, as most Europeans and non-Americans do when things aren't going their way. I still think that no event in which the "rights" are sold can be delayed without any other network having the "right" to show it also.

Healing Iraq has some depressing details on acts of violence still going on after The Zark bit the big one. Laura Ingraham also detailed some of the same on TV the other day.

An armed group stopped a minibus full of high school female students. 2 girls, who had their hair exposed, had their heads shaven clean as an example for others.

- 4 young men wearing shorts near a local bakery at Mansour were all shot in the legs.

- A young high school student at Ma’moun was shot twice in the head with a notice saying that he was killed for wearing jeans.

- A lady was forced out of her car and stripped naked near the Nida’ mosque in Adhamiya.

Check out the other Iraq blogs too, the situation is NOT better.

Markets: it is important to note that the slide of gold (currently below $610 from a high above $720) is almost in lockstep with the oil slide (currently under $69). The main source of domestic inflation right now is oil and the resulting price of gasoline. In the next few weeks we could see gasoline prices slide under $3 per gallon across the country, a help to the economy. Because the MSM won't report it, we haven't been paying attention to the fact that Iraq oil production is back over 2mbpd and climbing. Reuters is only reporting a decline from the northern fields as "news," obviously hoping the terrorists will destroy the industry. The WaPo doesn't report totals at all under their banner headline of Iraq oil production. Crude price for June spiked under $69 earlier today.

Real inflation concern should focus on other commodity prices. We have a huge shortage of corn in storage, lowest since 1976, and feed corn makes the meat market. Once gold disconnects from oil we will see how bad the inflation scare really is. The stock market isn't in free fall over gasoline prices alone.

Zarqawi and conventional wisdom----
Especially since Vietnam, we have come to believe that a guerilla war (AKA insurgency) needs the broad popular support of the indigenous population in order to succeed. Zarqawi's movement had no such support and relied almost exclusively on outside weaponry and soldiers. In fact there were almost no home grown soldaten other than a few Sunis. What we have been seeing is a virtual invasion by Islamic extremists and perhaps a few Iranians. What should be scary about all this is that an outside "secret" invasion with no discernible support can be as successful as this one, and I suggest that Iraq will be a matrix for other outside surreptitious invasions taking the form of Muslims within countries becoming their army, an army which will be financially supported by Muslim "charities". I think that all the jumping up and down for joy may be wishful, because way down deep the motivation within Islam is resentment of the West. The death of a general ain't going to change anything.

The really good side of this is that a hierarchical structure of a terrorist organization is unusual just because the elimination of leadership can be a death blow. Zarqawi wasn't just having a meeting with a few janitors, an entire top layer of the leadership has been killed. In all other places (except in Afghanistan), a broadly based autonomous cell structure has been the style, as used in Algeria during the fifties, making it next to impossible to stop. A top down structure means that, at least in the short term, this insurgency has been dealt a serious blow. Now if they reform into autonomous cells with only Islam as a motivation we could have an even more serious problem. Time will tell. Today is a victory for everyone other than hard line American Lefties inside the Democratic party. All they can do now is pray for another Katrina to prove Republican incompetence.

Gimme a fucking break... I don't know about them home grown good ol' boys. They ain't too smart if you ask me. Let's see #1, I order 6,000 pounds of nitrate fertilizer on my credit card, in order to keep things secret. #2 I arrange for UPS delivery of 3,000 packages on the first day that they have a trailer tractor available so I don't have to go out to the fertilize plant and needlessly expose myself.. #3 After sending UPS a check for $4,700 for UPS Ground delivery, I demand and get a tracking number so I can keep track of the packages. #4. Every time I leave the apartment I leave a note on the door that says if "I'm not home, deliver the packages to Mrs. Lewis in Apartment 107." Come on, these guys were totally not ready for prime time. Not terrorists. Scareadists maybe. Bull shit artists most probably. Capable of pitching a snit, maybe.

OK, it seems that buried firewalls were my main problem, that and the fucking new Firefox, an "improvement" that simply won't stay deleted.

Markets: several weeks ago I told you to bail the hell out of gold. Since then the market is off more than 100 dollars an ounce. Keep in mind that gold is a LEADING INDICATOR telling us weeks ago that there were big changes coming in our monetary policy. The appointment of Paulson as Treasury Sec means that the dollar will begin to strengthen big time, gold will go below $600 an ounce, and if commodity prices begin to fade we will have a new ball game. The Euro is much too high and the fascists over there want it to come down, so if Paulson wants a stronger dollar you can bet that you will see a global warming in the currency markets. A rising dollar will cause oil prices to drop; UNLESS the fucking Republicans keep spending.
