WMDs; an analogy from Rush Limbaugh you may have missed. I rarely listen to Rush because I’m working while he’s on radio and I find more than 15 minutes of him usually the SOS, but I was lucky enough to catch this one today.

After two years of searching as much of the 177,000 square miles of Iraq as we could; digging into every nook and cranny that looked promising, and chasing down every tip, it looks like we cannot find any WMDs, any evidence of there ever having been any recently, and so the obvious conclusion is that there were no weapons there.

Bush lied.

So let’s make the analogy to the 180 square miles of Aruba. Everybody has been searching every nook and cranny, every grain of sand, and every home looking for Natalee Holloway. Nobody can find her. She has vanished. Not a trace except what her mother claims to be her clothing in a hotel room. The obvious conclusion from those on the Left is that she never existed. That this entire tale has been made up. We have all been lied to.

The Movie Biz: It's the Christians, stupid.
Ah yes, the movie business has proven to itself (link from Google, may require registration) that everybody loves the movies and that Blue and Red states just adore the fabulous blood drenched and always sex immersed movie fare.....

Except
for Those
Fucking
Christians

Attendence being down is a function of Right Wing Christian "chatter" launched by them Christians against the wonderful world of Hollywood. In a study funded by Variety (a sycophantic show biz daily) the conclusion was reached that everything is OK.
"This isn't just civic boosterism, we've put money and time into this research because we were tired of listening to the chatter that was drowning out the real message and clouding the issue," he said.

"Clearly, this level of noise is being generated by a vocal and organized minority that is disproportionately impacting the debate," he added, "to the point where the thread gets picked up as fact and fed back and amplified by politicians, reporters, commentators, even some industry executives."
Like I said yesterday, those at the top will have to be starved out because none of them are leaving, none of them will demand less money, and they will turn out the SOS for another few years. Does anybody think that War of the Worlds, a story that is more than 100 years old, filled with the usual computerized "oh my God there's aliens out there" bullshit will fill the coffers? How much money did Cruise and Spielberg (sic) stick in their pockets before one foot of film was shot, even though both claim they worked for nothing in exchange for a piece, which I'll believe right after the Natalee Holloway died in the bathtub as a result of vibrator mal-function story.

As an add, several of my very perceptive and almost always correct, friends in The Show Biz tell me that War of the Worlds may actually sink Paramount, or at least cost everybody at the top their jobs. Nobody really knows the actual costs of any movie but the number being tossed around is $225 mil including marketing......
Paramount is claiming only $90mil cost
New York Times says $200mil
Forbes says $130mil
FOX pegs it at $180mil
All the above is without marketing costs.

Insane. Now if it is true that Cruise and Speilberg worked for a piece, you can bet that their piece is off the top, meaning they collect from the first dollar the movie takes in (usually until their normal fees are in the til). Ouch. Their fees are usually in the $20 mil class, and if true you can add another $40 mil to the costs. Late Add: according to this at FOX, Cruise and Speilberg took $40 mil in wages

Peggy Noonan Coulter lets lots of Lefty Libs have it.....

Obama who has a picture of Lincoln on his wall that "talks" to him,,,,
I'm sure it does. I'm sure it says, "Barack, why are you such an egomaniac?" Or perhaps, "Is it no longer possible in American politics to speak of another's greatness without suggesting your own?"

The Clintons? America's two most famous political grifters.

The Supremes? One wonders if they have lost all understanding of how privileged they are to have lifetime sinecures of power and authority. Do they have any sense anymore of common human wisdom, of the normal human arrangements by which Americans live?
A terrific piece, well worth your time.

Then there is this observation at Best of the Web:
In politics, it is proper for Republicans to insult Democrats or for conservatives to insult liberals. Politicians can insult other politicians. That's politics. It is not proper for a politician to insult a nonpolitician. Thus a politician cannot insult a member of the armed forces, as Durbin did. Someone needs to explain the nuances of the game of politics to Democrats.

Who says the Republicans would become fascists if they got real power? The movement to deprive baseball of their anti-trust exemption if George Soros is "allowed" to buy the Washington Nationals Baseball team should answer that question once and for all. These politicians on both sides of the aisle are philisophically castrated and their soprano voices masquerading as basso profundos fool nobody.

BATTERY POWERED BEST FRIENDS CAN LEAVE YOU TOO

Was having coffee with a couple of female psychiatrists I sort of know socially....and no, I am not fucking either of them, which is almost laughable anyway. The absolute worst sex or dates I’ve ever had in my life have been psychologists and shrinks. We are talking about the most fucked up women on the planet. I’d never go to a female shrink. Never ever. I learned that their preoccupation with keeping paying "clients" through the magic of not curing them a real turn off. Anyway I digress; the conversation drifted in an upper middle class way to sex, always keeping it professional and detached, of course. I think we built toward the topic in an orderly fashion: somebody mentioned bananas, I mentioned large cucumbers, somebody else mentioned the Grand Canyon, I mentioned the black cave at Carlsbad, and the topic of vibrators came up. Specifically women’s use of same and some unintended consequences.

It seems that both of these client abandonment fearing bitches had used vibrators in the past and both said it was the best sex they ever had, while leering suggestively at me in a challenging way. One of them shot out the statement that many women who had indulged in a very satisfactory and wide ranging sex life in their twenties and early thirties were having an almost impossible time achieving orgasm after years of plenty.

You mean they can’t cum,” I asked.

“They can only go,” shot back my favorite lady shrink.

She continued quietly as if the CIA might be secretly taping her, “It’s the law of unintended consequences....”

“Women are getting it up the ass,” I rejoiced. “Ha, ha, ha.”

“Even that doesn’t work,” sighed she of the don’t fuck me with the lights on in the kitchen, or when the kitty is on the bed, or when my husband is in the next room (I forget which). She leaned forward as if we were conspiring to kill the President.

“Overuse of vibrators for the purpose of achieving orgasm can result in the desensitizing of the clitoris,” she nasalized quietly. “The clitoris becomes almost calloused, rendering both clitoral and “G” spot orgasms nearly impossible for many women.”

“It is now being written about a little bit, but it is a very touchy subject,” the other one whispered before jump changing the subject in a way that led me to believe that she was one of those whose clitori and G-spots had been numbed by years of rolling around with her battery powered best friend.

The conversation sort of died at that point so I got up to leave, but not without offering my services to the shrink I slept with years ago in the back seat of her car. She might call. I cleverly lead her to believe that I have this secret method with two electrical wires and a motorcycle engine that could restore her youth, if only for an evening or so.

Stay tuned.

Hollywood Left gets told the truth about the box office slump....
43% named lower ticket and concessions prices as the main draw, with 36% citing better quality movies--and 25% "better controls on audience behavior."
All this means cheaper better movies or we won't come, while at the same time it means something horrible to everyone living the mega-millionaire life styles in Bel Air and Beverly Hills: lower---much lower---wages to the stars. The term "stars" includes directors, actors, writers, music people, and executive compensation. I bet they won't change, just like the MSM won't change. There is an entire culture involved here that is decidedly left, which means homosexuals are wall to wall; women and other racial minorities are over represented; all story subjects are left; and everyone toes the party line or they are not hired in the first place.

They will have to be starved out. Oh, and within all this is the outright thievery of the Majors when it comes to maketing and reporting of income. The corruption of the business is almost total. Russel Crowe should throw a planting pot at the nearest studio head, not that it would result in anything but it would be a start.

The move to grab Justice Souter's home for a hotel is just too delicious for words. Now, watch what he does to avoid it. Those pricks will never obey the laws they make for us. And this will be THE talk show subject for months.

And where do I stand on the exemption of bloggers from election laws? WTF do some of these asshole bloggers think they are? We should be subject to the same laws as the rest of the peasants. Period. The more blogs I read these days the more I see of egos running amock, the right to steal movies and music, and special rights. Total bullshit from total bullshitters. If I am using this blog for the purpose of hyping a political candidate for money received, do I deserve special exemption?

Bush speech? He still failed to identify the foe, which is not terrorism; terrorism is only a tactic. The tactic is used and supported by the Muslim religion and it is the Muslim religion that is our foe. The only way they will change is if we kill enough of them to matter. Good thing there was a game on. Angels won with a grand slam in the 11th; again.

A DRIVE BY IN PARADISE The Super Rich Don't Need No Stinking KELO

Long Before the infamous KELO Supreme Court Decision we had something called Gentrification, which enabled the rich to grab private property without the courts. Gentrification the elimination of a life style, as viewed from a small town. It starts with friendly foreplay but the end is the end. It's is a well known fact that it is impossible to create great art without cheap bars and cheap whores, and they are the first to go.

The gentrification of rural Carmel California started in 1947 but none of us noticed it as such. Just the fingers on the inside of the knee that felt kind of good, but things never stop there. John Steinbeck, the Nobel Prize winning writer and long time resident, never bitched about they way we kids raced cars at the bridge. The poet Robinson Jeffers didn't raise a stink about kids dancing. Frank Lloyd Wright didn't stop building the house on Carmel Point because teen agers were necking on the beach and hoisting a few. But a new bunch showed up around 1948. They were old, rich, no talent dilettantes from east of somewhere else who decided that only they knew what an art colony should look like and fuck the artists; they looked like such bums anyway. They hassled us kids about the loud mufflers on our cars like Carmel was supposed to be quiet all day so a bunch of dying old farts could sleep. Dancing was banned within the city limits (the high school is outside the city). An egg fight on Halloween was a War Crime. We had no idea these people would end up running the place. "Old Carmel" gave up without a fight.

When Art Galleries replace garages, it's all over.

They ain't laying down for it in the cities these days. When they fight it in Harlem it is reported as black separatists threatening violence. Downtown Los Angeles is made to sound like Mexican illegals going to war. In Charleston SC the media portrays resistance as a resurgence of the KKK. No matter, in most cities across the country resistance is taking place.

Resistance has to be rough because they are fighting Gentrification. Gentrification is Ivy League lingo for rich people from "outside" the community suddenly deciding to buy up the local property and "improving"it. The improvements result in a sudden surge in local property taxes, the new taxes displace the original residents who cannot pay them who then sell out and move. The local garages, sheet metal shops, lumber yards, and trucking companies, the places that employ sweat guys at good wages, are forced to move along with the jobs. These are always replaced by non-polluting and quiet Art Galleries, high end bars, and some specialty boutiques. What remains is a rich and happy class of people who put their kids into private schools and abandon the public schools to the poor. In the big cities they hire private police forces to keep the pissed off slob element (you) at bay while they live in isolated splendor. Of course the isolated rich contribute to all the Politically Correct causes, are environmentally pure, go to the opera, the theater, and art galleries; buy the season tickets to the Knicks and Cowboys games ($500 for a Knicks game and almost that much for a Cowboys game), and keep the yacht marinas filled up; they do all this while occasionally attacking the Chinese Communists on human rights, and "really going after" polluting oil companies (one assumes only after buying put options). The newspapers love them because they vote "liberal" along with the poor, which means they have to be OK.

In the rural West these days, it's more subtle. The Greens, composed largely of big city votingblocks living in large metro centers on either coast, pressure the Federal, State and local governments to seize privately held rural land in order to "save it". New kinds of endangered species are mysteriously discovered on a farm to assist in the Land Grab. (Think they will ever find the endangered Bar Fly in Beverly Hills and seize a movie star's mansion to protect it?). In Idaho, Montana, and the rural parts of the western states it's called "saving the environment", stopping corporate greed, and becoming "stewards" of the country we love. Land that isn't grabbed is "regulated" (called a Regulatory Taking), zoned, or restricted, so that sweat jobs paying good money can't pass the environmental test. The sweat guys, together with their wives and jobs, vanish. The decreasing available land that is not in government hands is bought up by the rich from the around the world; Americans who purchase the land live on the east and left coasts and claim to be Green, Green, Green. Note Aspen in Colorado (40 art galleries, ski area, median home price $2.3 million), Santa Fe in New Mexico (140 plus art galleries, median single family home prices over $400,000, a ski area, plus one of the only gentrified places to set aside some affordable housing), or Jackson Hole in Wyoming (97% owned by the government, 40 art galleries, median price for a 4 bedroom 3 bath home is $1.3 million).

The Grabs out West usually target individuals rather than groups of minorities or lower income people. A ranch is grabbed. A farm. A few acres. Mobs of Blacks or Hispanics don't rally on the plains; white anarchists can't be bothered. A feed dealer loses a customer. So does a local farm implement dealer. Somebody is laid off each time a ranch or farm is grabbed. The result for the original residents of the area is the same as in the big cities. Local property taxes on the shrinking supply of land go through the roof, the rich have a new place to play, they stash their kids in private schools in another state so the local public schools deteriorate, they build play pens for themselves called country clubs and theaters, grab off huge sections of land which they zone for high end recreation, and most of the original residents "vanish" to the few places that remain not owned by the government; places with names like Castroville, Salinas, or Moss Landing. Their original good paying jobs aren't "green" enough so they lose whatever economic clout they once enjoyed. The Westerners don't call it gentrification. They are more to the point. Robbery is the term used out west. Nobody in the PC crowd realizes that the evicted "slob" element has the right to bear arms. In other cases a "Rural Cleansing" takes place as happened in the recent Kalamath water dispute. Events like these elimninate entire communities. Property values are destroyed along with the property tax base. Without tax dollars entire towns cease to exist. The angry residents are forced to move to the slums of the cities.

The current "crisis" in education can be directly attributed to the absentee rich and other privileged classes putting their kids into private schools, and the selfish retired rich who abandon any stake in communities. They don't vote for bond issues for the remaining less well off residents who they outnumber. They don't participate in the local PTA. There is no way the education crisis could exist in America were it not for private schools as hideouts for those who can pay. The rich would never lay down for what is going on in education if it affected them.

The big cities have their race riots in part because large groups of compartmentalized (the ghetto) and well armed poor act out. The result of the rioting by large voting blocks in big cities is that government is forced to throw some money at the people who have been moved aside by the rich. In the rural West it has been different. We have Ruby Ridge, the McGuckin fiasco, Waco, and other less publicized events. These events have two things in common: the government acts aggressively against individuals who dare to resist and they forcibly remove them from the land (it's called stealing); the press favorably views the wrongs done by the Government until somebody steps to the plate and "talks". Environmental groups actually have a "plan" in all this. They want to move people off the land and into the cities. One hundred people per acre is what Greens say the slob element (you rural dopes) should live on. A greater density than New York City.

In all cases the privileged use some of their land to live on, and a lot of it for golf courses or ski areas for their play pens. Many of these "play pens" are tax exempt because the well connected know how to put the land into "public land banks" or land use zoning. Every once in a while they throw up a "Nature Preserve" (after getting tax breaks for the larcenous stunt) so the Land Grab has the cloak of doing good deeds. No matter the cloak, the long time residents are forced to move. But where can they go? In the West the government owns most of the land and grabs more each year, 67% of Idaho, 86% of Nevada, they even own 44% of California. Before the collapse of Communism John Kenneth Galbraith wrote, "The public lands of the United States exceed the combined area of Germany, France, Italy, Belgium, Holland, Switzerland, Hungary, Denmark, and Albania. Where socialized ownership of land is concerned, only the USSR and China can claim company with the United States." The land grab has continueds while our population increases. The remaining land values soar, as do the property taxes. This synergy benefits only the rich. The people they displace move to slums. Rents and tempers there rise. Sound like your home town yet?

NOW LET'S LOOK AT PARADISE

The Monterey Peninsula in Central California is a legendary place. The Lone Cypress, astonishing Pebble Beach scenes, the towns of Carmel and Monterey, the Del Monte Forest, all have an almost holy aura. Dreamscapes of foam loaded waves explode upon the rocky coast and link seamlessly with plains of flat blue ocean. Shifting banks of fog create a montage of changing scenery; each moment seems more beautiful than the last. Golf courses to die for. Car races to die in. Beautiful people from beautiful places shop in Carmel and Monterey. It may not be Heaven but you can see it from there and God lives just around the next corner. Well, that's the ink about the place anyway.

The First Time "IT" Happened

Only Monterey's very old remember 1948; that awful year the sardines vanished. The Sardine. That crummy little fish. The industrial lifeblood of almost every working person on the Peninsula for two generations, just disappeared. Evaporated. Leaving a depression that lasted almost forever. At the same time an era was ending right next door in Carmel as well; Carmel, a hangout and working spot for artists of all types since the turn of the last century was about to get "the treatment". Real estate prices began to rise as America's expanding upper middle class, movie stars, and millionaires "discovered" the place. By 1968 the "starving" artists had left and so had most "sweat jobs".

So what's it really like these days, this "legendary spot", fifty four years after the first bunch of outsiders moved in to Carmel? I grew up there. Sunset Grammar School, Carmel High School Class of 1951. Learned to drive, love, drink, and cheat on chemistry tests while ignoring the beautiful views. I hadn't been back there since 1955. In May of this year I returned for my 50th high school reunion. I heard stuff. I saw stuff. I heard that the "Tourist Business" is way off. No artists live there anymore. Everybody is old. Carmel is....well not CARMEL anymore. And Old Monterey has just disappeared.

On the Peninsula "The Tourist Business" has replaced the sardine. Looking at scenery has replaced work. Art Galleries have replaced the artists. Property taxes have made it certain that undesirables (you) can't buy there.

And then there is golf. In this particular Western Land Grab, almost 5,000 acres of Peninsula land has been turned into golf courses (more than five times the area of Central Park in New York), acreage enough for 250,00 people to live in reasonably nice apartments; of course if the Greens prevail in the continuing Rural Cleansing there is room for 1,250,000. The Land Grab assures the displacement of the "Sweat Class" to the nether regions. Before 1950 there were only three major golf courses (two were private) and perhaps four smaller ones. Now there are twenty three. That's twenty three. Like in the number 23. For a population of 320,000 people including Salinas. Los Angeles with three million people has thirteen. New York City has none.

I inhaled the cold air. The kelp smell jogged my memory and I had thoughts. It seemed like a "Drive By" had occurred. A casual hit by a "suite gang". Well dressed, caring, loves animals to death, but a gang that will never be denied. I think the Carmel-Monterey Drive By is a lot like the carnage taking place where you may be living. And if you live anywhere in the West it is happening right in front of your nose. Take heed. Your life is over.

It has been said that "You Can't Go Home Again" (the first Thomas Wolfe). Well if you grew up on the Monterey Peninsula fifty years ago, you can't even see home from there. Except for Carmel High School. It hasn't changed in 50 years, an absolute disgrace in a high net worth community like Carmel (median asking price for a home in Carmel is $1.29 million). Carmel's wealthy absentee and retirement class has refused to pass school bond issues. The student body is composed of kids who come from the surrounding rural area, which until recently had no vote in the district. High school blackboards got so old the teachers had to memorize the blips on the boards when writing, the old wiring screamed, and a scandalously out of date interior structure would remind one of South Central Los Angeles. The deterioration of the school speaks volumes. The "word" (in small towns there is always "the word") is that they are finally fixing it up. In typical fashion the "outside" of the school, meaning the lawns and fields, looks good. Carmel is "Gentrification" to the max.

I'm not some old fart who says the past was better. In the "Good Old Daze" one or two kids per year were killed within a two-mile stretch on the scenic twisty curvy Carmel-Monterey two lane road while racing blind through the fog. That stretch was the local "Dead Man's Curve"; every town in every part of the country has one and the old Monterey Peninsula had at least four. Carnage is a mild word to describe the results of "drag" racing on old Hi'way 1 past Carmel at "the bridge". The Salinas-Monterey cutoff, an 18-mile two lane serpentine with blind curves every 500 yards, was an early morning raceway where kids (including me) raced two abreast regardless of traffic: the local "Blood Alley". This race driving was only sometimes done by kids who were not drunk. The roads needed fixing. They have been fixed. Looks good.

The town of Seaside, which is attached to Monterey on the north, was a poverty area rivaling any in the United States; it needed to be cleaned up. It has been cleaned OUT, the people tossed to God Knows Where and certainly not to better jobs. Aided by one of the few Federal Land give backs, $400,000 plus housing and more stores and shops that is sure to go up has replaced the poverty. A major statement about the Peninsula.

And there were the good old days of racism in "Liberal" Carmel. What a neat bunch. We lost our championship football game in 1950 due in part because our coaches wouldn't let our fastest ball carrier, a kid named Jim Moran who was African American, carry the ball even one time; they were heard to say that the boy belonged in a cotton patch. The "word" is that the family was hounded out of Liberal Carmel a couple of years later. Nobody knows why Jim Moran killed himself a few years after that. So you can shove the "good old days" stuff as far as I'm concerned. The Phoney Liberalism we see nation wide, started in Carmel.

As for Monterey since ‘48? The sardine fishery, the industrial base which supplied jobs for at least half of the community, was wiped off the face of the earth, the canneries eventually replaced by some of the most expensive shops in the United States. All the good cannery and fishing boat jobs have been replaced by low paying dead end retail jobs or parking lot jobs. The sardines are back but too late. A politically correct and environmentally pure aquarium built for tourists is the big thing in Monterey these days.
"Want a future, kid? Get off your butt and inherit your old man's money."
The sweat guys, the people who bust their asses doing hard physical work, have been chased out by some of the highest real estate prices on the planet. America may be the land of miracles but a carpenter and a waitress can't buy a $500,000 house anywhere that I know of. And if any sweat class couple did manage to buy?,well the locals will fix them with the sky-high property taxes; one must keep out the wrong elements. Half a million dollar homes are near the low end on the Peninsula (Monterey, Carmel, Pacific Grove and Pebble Beach) these days. Now the sweat guys and their wives, the women who get varicose veins before they are 30 from standing and smiling at tourists for $9.50 an hour while pregnant, "those people", come to the Peninsula on "green cards" from far away towns like Salinas, Castroville, and other garden spots. Places from where they have been deported by the local "improvements". They are all out of town by sunset so as not disrupt the environmental purity for the politically correct well to do. I bet there isn't one kid in twenty who wants to stay on the Peninsula, unless their old man owns a store. Somehow or other they know they won't see the big bucks from guiding tours through an aquarium.

IS THE DREADED "IT" HAPPENING AGAIN?

The "word" is that the "Tourist Business" is down. The latest sardine disaster. What's wrong I wonder? They may be running out of $100 per night rooms in Carmel, but there's plenty of room if you pay the $150 to $300 a night rate. Could it be that the world famous 17 mile drive is now a hoax? "For Your Convenience and in order to preserve the environment" (naturally), the latest corporation headed by big names who don't live there (Clint Eastwood, Dick Ferris, Arnold Palmer and Peter Ueberroth who replaced a Japanese Corporation, that replaced 20th Century Fox, etc) is keeping many of the roads with famous vistas closed. Most missed is the old road, now blocked, that ran between the second and third fairways of the Pebble Beach Golf Course, a half mile stretch that slowly reveals to the beholder one of the most breathtaking views of land and water in the world. The splendor shown on TV when the golf tournaments are televised is inaccessible to the slob element. This is so that the wealthy won't have their views disrupted. The only way you will see the profligate magnificence on display at Pebble Beach is if you pony up the $250 to play a round on the course or the millions to buy a house adjoining the fairway. In the old days, before Gentrification and Land Grabs, one of the more spectacular views was the surprise appearance of exquisite blue and white erupting violence that is the Pacific Ocean as seen when emerging from dense forest and rounding the bluff north of the famous Cypress Point Golf Course. The Almighty Corporation has erected a hundred feet of chain link fence covered with black canvass, assuring one and all that this particular revelation remains only in the memory of old fools and the rhymes of dead poets. What is left of the Pebble Beach link of the old 17 Mile Drive is three-miles of glimpses.
Q: What does a Pebble Beach woman wear to a funeral?
A: A black tennis dress.

In Pebble Beach (median asking price for a home: $2.4 million) there is "scenic shock". Like the lion who sprays his scent to keep all but the brave from his territory, the mega millionaires from places like Europe, "The East", and "Outside" have sprayed two story housing tract palaces virtually wall to wall on the ocean side of a large section of the old 17-mile drive in Pebble Beach. This high end Leavitt Town lineup of gargantuan peacock displays blocks many famous views from everyone but them.
"You wanna see some scenery buddy? We still got that Loan Cypress tree you can look at. And that Bird Rock deal is a real winner if you've never seen pelicans and seagulls standing around on a century or two of their droppings before. And hey!! Lookit the golf courses. Wow! Pebble at $250 a round? Sure I can handle it. What do I look like, some kind of loser? Don't want some cashier or day laborer playing golf on the same courses with the Gods, do we now? I mean if you can't handle $250 there's a few good ones at $150."

Life's losers can play a few flat city courses for $25 more or less; breath taking views of traffic jams and glorious panoramas of the freeway with the fog rolling in is what $25 gets you. You can play in Salinas for $6 and thrill to the site of Mexican farm laborers busting their asses in the sun. Very American.

So Scenic Carmel and Historic Monterey (one hundred fifty art galleries counting Pacific Grove) are just one big shopping mall, mostly for useless high end bric-a-brac posing as art. Remembering a John Steinbeck Cannery Row "Past", as if anyone would tolerate canneries and a fishing fleet that employ normal people in union jobs at good wages anymore.

"Oh My GOD, that aaawwwful smell. Think of the environment. Go to the slums like a bunch of Mexicans if you want those kinds of jobs."

The local propaganda mills grind out the fiction that the fishing industry exploited workers and poor people; that somehow the "gentrification" is for their benefit. Yeah, right! "Bend over, sucker. Take it like a man"
A car hits a Carmel man. The paramedic says, "Are you comfortable?"
The Carmel man says, "I make a good living."

The Tourist going to Carmel expecting to see a real town where artists live and work, is always in for a surprise. What started in 1947 is now finished. There is not even a real grocery store in "artsy fartsy" Carmel. The town lacks everything for normal human beings. You can't buy groceries for a family there. No gas stations. Or garages. You need to "know somebody" to buy a can of paint because Carmel lacks even a real hardware store. No soda fountain "hang outs" for the kids. Need a pair of work pants? Armani worsted at $200 a pair, $5 a cup coffee shops where too rich arty looking women dressed in the latest slob wear (about $300 for the ill fitting top, $150 for the baggy pants, and at least $300 for the colored hair twice per week), talk relentlessly about Buddhism, pre-Columbian art, and the environment. The expensive restaurants, very expensive clothing stores, and arty farty crap as far as the eye can see passes for atmosphere.
"You want things to live a normal life? Try the Walmart in Cancun. A hamburger? Yuk!! Not when you can have a $30 filet migon. A hot dog for a buck? What are you, a mechanic? Try the sushi at $7.50, it's devine. Great for the kids and families. Want to see real people doing real work? Drop by Merrill Lynch."

The parents of my classmates had real jobs. They worked in construction, perhaps a contractor or two, ran a horse stable, farmed, owned small stores, collected garbage, were artists, local cops, stone masons, and army officers. None of those families could afford to live in Carmel right now. None.

"Carmel is the only place in the world where you stop off to pick up a six-pack of art."

As in all gentrification in the rural West, there just aren't that many people actually "living" in Carmel. "Living" there, like in actually staying there year round, working and raising a family. Million dollar home prices and property taxes keep normal people at bay. There is almost no such thing as a young millionaire. You've got to be at least 45 to 50, and when you are that old your kids are grown. So the older millionaires who can afford the insane housing prices don't have young kids, visit for vacations periodically, and just love to buy the leather toilet seats locally at $400 a pop, or the bureau for $15,000. Or they are old and retired. Pass a bond issue for Carmel Schools? Not them. Don't wake them. They don't live there, don't have kids there, and don't care. Bottom Line Liberals, I call them. They do vote for environmental zoning laws to keep out the undesirable elements

Otters are lots nicer than black people anyway.

Carmel side streets which used to contain places like sporting goods stores that had sales from time to time, record stores where you could actually buy recorded music, a flower shop or two, actual gas stations (yes there were at least four AND you could get your car fixed by guys who actually lived there), a big lumber yard, barber shops, beauty salons, an actual real life blacksmith shop, only THREE art galleries, and two places where you could get dirt-cheap hamburgers; they cost eleven cents, all the local "trash" went there to eat the burgers and drink cheap wine; "Dago Red" was the winos choice and NOBODY can tell you what "Dago Red" was. Us kids used to risk Certain Death from our parents and go there for an eleven cent lunch. Carmel side streets now contain what seems like a thousand "Art Galleries" (actual count is 90, one for every 54 residents), "Places to Stay", and "boutiques" (French for eight time markups). Art Galleries that are used car lots for "art"; places where your friendly hard nosed sales closer from LA, Frisco, or The Big Apple will "qualify" you for the money the second you set foot in the door.
"Lemme unnerstan' dis. You wanna actchlley stan' in one spot like a moron and jus' look at a pichur? Dat's fuh sale? Dis look like a museum to you?"

Don't be surprised if you see Tony Soprano selling "previously owned" Rembrandts from behind a pine tree on Dolores Street.

As I visited the old homestead for what is probably my last time I became aware of something else. It was a feeling. A spirit, an odor about something. At least half of the "scenery" of any area is the "feel" of the place. This "feel" is created in large part by a broad spectrum of people in all economic classes who have both a willingness and a desire to associate with one another. To "rub elbows". To really respect each other. Where everyone's kids go to the same school. When this happens you have unpredictable results. The "starving artists" of Carmel are long gone, driven out by the prices, taxes, and the "environmental zoning". The people who sweat while they work and who are customers of car lots, ordinary stores, cheap and good restaurants, movies, gas stations, low life bars (including the whores), and so on create most of the "character".

It is a well known fact that it is impossible to create great art without cheap bars and cheap whores. It can't be done. The low lifes who used to hang out in the "Smoke Shop" in Carmel where we kids used to get the eleven cent hamburgers included bull dyke lesbians, screaming queens, Mexicans, Dagos (the "Liberals" in Carmel always looked down their noses at the Italian fishermen from Monterey), mechanics, and winos. And those were the High End low lifes. The "word" was that there was a card game in the back behind the green curtain where the true degenerates of Carmel gathered. Rumor had it that Henry Miller (this old guy who was writing real filthy shit) played stud and draw; and that commie writer (fill in the blank) played there every night; and that painter who had three wives lost as much as fifty bucks a night; and so on. This motley collection of undesirables were the people who created the atmosphere: the bad art that later became good art and great art, some of the great books, fixed the cars, rebuilt the old Duesenbergs, Bugatti's, and other relics from the 20's in their back yards. People like the Whitmans (like in Cole Whitman the now famous and dead photographer) were all bums back then; Cole ate eleven cent burgers and looked like shit. Lots of soon to be famous artists moonlighted as carpenters, plasterers, and masons. They could live there on their wages AND create.

There is no desire by the rich in Carmel to create the place where people who sweat while they work, can live, be employed, AND be respected by the monied aristocracy. Right now that possibility is a joke in almost every part of America; and this segregation unchecked can only result in a class war. It's no accident that the elite favor gun control; the poor own plenty of them and you can only push people just so far. The tourists don't come to the Monterey Peninsula to look at millionaires screwing the place up. They are trying to get away from that. "Character" creates the art, the underlying beauty of any area. The Peninsula has completely run out of "character", or what we now call "soul". It's boring. If I want to see rich white guys playing golf badly I can do better in Palm Springs or Cancun. If I want to hear too rich phoney white women chatting about finding a three day baby sitter so they can go see the Dali Lama, I can hear it in Beverly Hills. At lower prices. And from too rich phoney white women who are far better looking. It is local lore that the last good looking woman in Carmel was paved over back in 1983 to make room for another art gallery.

A tourist needs to see vitality, not venality. The Peninsula, and other "gentrified rural areas, is decaying from within and nobody who lives there seems to notice. At last, on my final minutes there I was reminded of that old Russian play called the Cherry Orchard; a play in which the elite chat about trivialities oblivious to the fact that the orchard that supported their old life style is being chopped down within earshot; the sound of axes chopping the trees is heard throughout the play. As I peered between two glorious new two story mansions on the 17 mile drive, stupidly looking for that flat place among the rocks and crashing surf where we used to gather at night to drink beer, kiss girls, dance to the music from blaring car radios, sing songs, and hurl empty beer cans into the 20 foot waves before they exploded on the rocks, I was jolted by a sound. It wasn't waves detonating on the cliffs or fog horns bleating like baratone goats to warn distant ships. It was a high pitched screech, like the terrified scream of a kidnaped old lady being dragged down a big city street. It wasn't that of course. Not in Paradise. What jolted me was the high zzziiiinnnngg zzziiinnngging of chain saws . I turned to see imported workmen from Castroville and Salinas taking down the old Del Monte Forest to make room for yet another mega mansion.

While gas prices hit $2.30 and another anonymous family lost their farm somewhere, the state faced bankruptcy and power shortages caused rolling blackouts, the land vanishes, the poor look at their guns and too rich white women chat stupidly about seeing the Dali Lama over $5 coffee in Carmel.

Sound like any place you live? Count the art galleries, it's the first sign.

AN ENDNOTE: a victory for the less than really rich in the Carmel area has occurred because the Carmel School District was permitted to expand thirty six miles to the south as far as Big Sur and thirty miles north into the Carmel Valley, making it one of the largest school district in terms of area in the state. The result is that parents of the students, even the rich ones who actually live and work there, got to vote. They voted to pass a school bond issue. The retired and absentee rich got out voted. It was a modest bond issue but the "word" is that improvements will at long last be made at the Carmel High School. The rich say they like it. The system works. That's the foreplay. We all know what's next. They don't need no stinking KELO.

Kelo is still the talk of the web. Some calling for gun action. Then there is this comparison with Mugabe at WND which has been echoed throughout the web. I think this could be a huge election issue if the increasingly clueless Republicans sit around talking about Schavio, abortion, and the need to have the Ten Commandments displayed in every school room. On the other side, many state governments are acting like they might do something, but from the ideoligical make up of the judges on either side of the decision I doubt that any liberals will do anything.

Everything at No Pasaran today is a must read.

OK, OK Insanely Hot Right Wing babes hasn't put up a new babe in a month. I'll take down the link on Friday if a new one doesn't show up by then. I always wondered if Republicans from Jersey could be counted on to do anything but lose elections.

Consumer Tip: Needed a car cell phone charger for my phone. Verizon price was $30. Went to a place called 888cellmax and got TWO for $12.99 plus a free booster antenna. Can't beat it, took just one week to deliver.

The answer to the big question
: What would you give your eight-year-old daughter to help her learn the value of money? If you're Madonna, you'd give her a credit card with at $10,000 limit. This and other must read wastes of time at Socialite's Life.

Good news for Ford and bad news....They have a huge hit car in the 2005 Mustang....Bad news: they have zero 2005 Mustangs to sell. See it's like this. Suit One to Suit Two:
"Who will ever want to buy this rehashed piece of shit? We better not make too many."
The success is therefore not publicized. Why? One can only assume that the success would make the suits at Ford look like the morons they are. The Mustang is so hot it outsells Mercedes
The entire 2005 production is essentially spoken for, and dealers are being told to start selling 2006s for those who want to order one. Clearly demand is strongest for the GT model, which represents an excellent retro performance value. If you can get one, there are no cars on the market that offer that combination of style and power for around $25,000.
There are some interesting highlights here. First the Mustang is outselling a lot of other cars on the market, including the popular Chrysler 300. It is also outselling 13 entire brands, including Mercedes-Benz, Saturn, Scion and Subaru. Demand for the new car has propped up the market for the previous generation cars as dealers try to fill their lots with some kind of substitute in the absence of the 2005 model. Kelley Blue Book states that values of the 2003 and 2004 Mustangs have increased as much as $1000 at auction. Time will tell whether this demand will stay strong, but right now it is a success for Ford.
To clear this up, the car is so hot that used Mustangs of recent vintage have seen their values go up also. Link to auto blog, a site that is almost impossible to pull up but one of interest to all car buffs..

For those of you who, like me, are totally pissed off at the MSM attacks on our Military, go here, see what's up, and get involved. I'll support it 100%---(link via Malkin). They further link to a very confusing site called Move America Forward that is so badly set up that you can't figure out WTF they are doing, which could be a bad sign. The road to the quagmire is paved with confused conservatives. Again, Move America Forward is a terrible (or perfect) example of clutter, mixed purposes, and I have the suspicion they could be more interested in money than message; sort of like some of those TV evangelists.

Reuters has a tendency to pull their headlines as well as their headline stories and place them in archives. So HERE are their top headlines this AM
1. US defends aid policy, says helps push reforms
2. U.S. aid for Africa is up, but short of Bush claim
3. Live 8 challenged by U.S. perception of generosity
4. ANALYSIS-Big tsunami donors rank poorly in generosity
5. GRAPHIC: Tsunami donors get mixed 'generosity' ranking
And the horrible USA ain't generous like the EU. Remember, as I post this ALL headlines are in one place at the top of their site. #5 is particularly vicious, listing us last in donations. What is left out is our military helping poor countries, our private donations, or really much else. Reuters is a part of the MSM Fifth Column attacking us from within. The entire top five headlines are an attack on the U.S.

THEIVES AND SCUM

Reynolds once again speaks in praise of criminals on the internet. He, like a ton of other scumbags, thinks it's OK to steal music and deny royalties to the creators, the performers, and the publishers. He, like others, believes that everyone who decides they "want it" and don't intend to pay for it are "entitled" to it. And of course he only links to other sites that endorse fleecing the creators thus leaving the impression that everyone on the web also wants to steal. But that presents a false picture. Here are some links that back up the decision, the artists, producers, and performers. HERE

And Google links to 836 other articles that support the artists.

If you walked into a record store and stole the CD you'd be charged with theft; but if you roam the web and steal songs, Reynolds and his gang think it's fine. I speak for the artists when I say, please pay for the tunes you want.
The U.S. Supreme Court has decided that purveyors of file-sharing offerings can be found liable for copyright infringement. We think this ruling in the Grokster case is positive for providers of legitimate online media services such as Apple Computer, Audible, Napster, and RealNetworks. Contrary to conventional wisdom, we think illegal use of peer-to-peer networks to obtain copyrighted material is still pervasive, and that hundreds of millions of P2P downloads are completed daily.
Reynolds and pals don't give a shit for copyright---unless it is their copyright, natch. Here is an evenhanded review of the winners and losers---note the losers include
eDonkey, LimeWire, Kazaa and others of their ilk: Unrestricted file-swapping sites could face a new wave of litigation following the ruling, which appears to place the burden on them to show that they are not encouraging the subversion of copyright laws.
Stealing movies is now illegal too. Only the copyright thieves community loses. I'm glad. From my reading of the "blogs" there are very few endorsing theft of copyright.

More KELO. I link at the end of this piece to a posting of mine from a year ago. It describes how one of the most beautiful places on earth has been taken over by KELO. But there are means for stealing private property that are available to the rich that do not include local governments openly stealing the land. Most are called "regulatory takings" and are the weapon of choice for the luxury suite gangs. They use new zoning; enviromental rulings (their favorite); fancy grabs where they seem to place the land into general use but do not---example would be a greens fee on a "public golf course" that might be as high as $300 per round (Pebble Beach); developers might put up a luxury complex in a near poverty area knowing the property taxes for the acreage surrounding the new complex will go up so that the current owners are forced to sell or have the county seize their land; there is a ruthless strategy they call "Urban Cleansing;" (which is exactly what it sounds like). Last but not least, and perhaps the worst of all, are harassment suits.

The piece is very very long; it's called Drive by in Paradise; it has had more hits over the past two years than anything I've ever posted (nearly 70,000), and it is HERE.

I LOVE THE SMELL OF GOVERNMENT THIEVERY IN THE MORNING

Oh oh, here comes KELSO----or I'm from the government and I'm here to help you--Volume 7,540
Albert Posey was a hard worker, who labored in a factory full-time, grew corn and soybeans on his 60 acres of farmland in his time off, and raised his kids on his own. He died in 1989, and since then the government has grabbed off parts of his land, just because they could. One of Posey’s daughters still lives on what is left of his land.

Now get this: the Red Lion Area School District has tried to buy the farm twice. When the remaining kids refused, they took it anyway. 9.9 acres in the 1960s and 7.9 three years ago -- condemning the land through the power of eminent domain and giving the family a check for what the school district determined to be fair market value.

The Posey farm is now part of Mazie Gable Elementary School.

Pennsylvania is about to do even more “for the people of the state.” York county is about to seize 915 acres along the Susquehanna River, known as Lauxmont Farms, for a state park. They will vote on stealing the first 80 acres Wednesday. And of course, the Supremes have made it all but impossible to stop these government thefts. What you may not know is that Supreme Court has a steady record of backing up all land grabs going back to the first one in 1896 when they allowed the government to seize the Gettysburg battlefield. Just over 100 years later, the National Park Service used eminent domain to seize and destroy the National Tower on the battlefield.

In the early 1950s, the entire concept of "public use" changed, when the Supreme Court upheld the efforts of Washington, D.C. to condemn a dilapidated section of downtown---ask not for whom the bell tolls--- after the city argued the area was "blighted" and rehabilitating it was for public good. There have been more than ten thousand (10,000) seizures or threatened seizures in the United States from 1998 to 2002 that involved handing the property over to another private party

Pennsylvania leads the league here and there is little a property owner can do to stop seizure. A landowner can take the governments to court over the price, but courts almost invariably defer to the government's stated reasons for the seizure. Often, government bodies don't even have to file eminent domain suits to get the land. Property owners will many times settle out of fear of having their land taken for much less than it is worth. The threat of eminent domain is a powerful one. It costs a lot of money to defend an eminent domain action. If you mount a legal defense, it can really put your life on hold for a long time.

If you want to puke over this data---warning, sea sickness remedies won't work---go to the main article HERE. For a detailed account of a series of government land grabs for the purpose of handing the land over to the wealthy skiers and golfers over a thirty year period, read “Drive by in Paradise” my very long essay about the death of old Carmel by the Sea and the adjoining towns of Monterey and Pacific Grove as our government stole the land and gave it to the super rich.

IT'S SHAKESPEARE, STUPID

"I don't know if they're a bunch of fags, but they are pathetically weak. I think it's because so many schools have banned Shakespeare. Actors never get to play kings and princes, the guys who actually run countries."

An actor I had lunch with on Saturday gave his opinion of why there isn't even one masculine young actor in America. Ban Shakespeare? Yeah. These idiot feminists have convinced far too many Theatre Arts departments to ban his plays because they "are sexist." A result is that actors don't know how to be Kings capable of doing anything to stay in power and who are used to being obeyed by everyone. A couple of more actors joined in the discussion and they agreed.

I asked my friends if the same could be said for Queens. And as we discussed this we ventured a group consensus that in classic terms the women were very cagy, hiding their motives, manipulating the powerful and the powerful to be, while advancing their husband's position and their own, also with no holds barred. What we are left with is actresses who only know how to fuck, complain, and kill if they don't get their way. Period.

It was an interesting discussion, and as a former actor myself, I can only echo the fact that classic theatre always demands tough minded characters involved in things bigger than life and more important than God, money, and women put together. When playing a King you tell somebody to clean the floor in a very quiet way because both of you know that the result of conflict will be death. Murder without any guilt. Period.

Do you see any of this in Troy, Alexander, and the rest of the "epics" released over the past several years. Gladiator is the single exception because the classically trained Russel Crowe was the lead. He was a guy who played people who were used to being obeyed and he knew how to deal with inferiors, and inferiors meant everybody else in the cast.

Shakespeare is tough stuff, especially for a country that now insists that only egalitarian situations be presented, including women who absolutely do not belong in certain situations---we never see women wanting to work on oil rigs in Alaska, digging ditches in the jungles, or doing any of the nasty tasks us horrible men do. So all the stories are safe white collar stories in which everybody is equal and arrests and court cases result in any deviation from that party line.

A suggestion for all young actors out there: find a place to do Shakespeare and do at least four plays, without any feminist bullshit. It's absolutely necessary for your future.

WHITEY GO HOME, THE MEXICAN CRY IN CALIFORNIA

To those few of you who don't really "get" the bias at the LA Times, please go HERE and see all the things left out of their coverage of a rally. Says it all.

DuTiot has a dam good essay up.....

You know what I hate about blogs like ankle biting pundits? They have comments places that refuse to allow comment on the grounds that your name and password have been taken. So, fuck you ankle biters, and you can take your secret passwords and shove them up your ass.

IT'S OFFICIAL--RICH U.S. ARE PROVEN CHEAPSKATES IN GIVING

Big tsunami donors rank poorly in generosity
24 Jun 2005 13:18:00 GMT
Source: REUTERS
In terms of aid dollars alone, the United States is by far the biggest tsunami donor with a total $2.34 billion of government and private pledges -- almost double Germany's $1.25 billion. Britain was the third-largest donor, followed by Australia, Japan, the Netherlands, Canada and Norway.
And then they follow it up with this one
NORWEGIANS GIVE MORE

But put the aid on a per-capita basis and you get a different "generosity ranking". By this measure, Norwegians gave by far the most, with combined governmental and private donations amounting to $59 per head -- seven times more than Americans and 10 times more than Japanese.

Even that doesn't tell the full story. Experts say you must consider the "quality" of aid to assess real generosity. Is it going where it's needed or simply serving the donor's interests?
The report doesn't tell us that lots of vehicles never left the docks because of corruption at local levels, that governments taxed the aid when it arrived, and other Muslim countries refused any "tainted" aid. Sources for this shit include the International Red Cross, Amnesty International, and the always balanced Reuters. And of course they leave out the hundred or so millions spent by our military starting from day one of the disaster. But the U.S. Military are fascist war criminals, per the same sources plus the Liberal U.S. media.

Reality of KELO:

A city in Washington state removed a woman in her 80s from her home of 55 years supposedly to expand a sewer plant, then sold the land to an auto dealership.

• A New Jersey development agency tried to seize an elderly woman's home and two businesses to provide more parking for one of Donald Trump's casino hotels; the state Supreme Court stopped it.

• A city in Kansas took a used-car lot and turned it over to the new-car dealer next door, who had failed in his efforts to buy the site from the previous owner.

These corrupt local governments now own your property and there is nothing you can do to stop them. Second Amendment Time.....

NATALEE HOLLOWAY WAS MORE THAN LIKELY TO HAVE BEEN VERY DRUNK

Might as well talk about it. I vacation in both Pacific Central America and the Carribean, and let me tell you about Carlos and Charlie's. If you are driving the strip in Cancun at 3AM you will see a huge sign on Carlos and Charlie's that reads, "Sorry, We're Open." In Aruba there is a curfew, but they have a women's only night til 11PM and then they let the boys in so they can score on the drunken girls. Carlos and Charlie's (and Seńior Frogs) cater almost exclusively to the under 25 crowd---actually if you go to them, you might say the under 21 crowd----and they advertise both in print and picture that getting loaded is what it is all about. This LINK to a party in a pool adjacent to C&C's where booze is being force fed down a girl's throat, a practice that Carlos and Charlie's brags about. Keep scrolling through the pictures. There are nearly 40 pictures and the girls are drinking in three quarters of them---those big blue glasses are for the "doubles" C&C's are famous for. If that link has been taken down, try here. After you look at those, tell me you don't think that Natalee wasn't more than likely dead drunk, a perfect set up for a "easy piece of ass." Anyone who has vacationed in those spots will tell you the same thing.

Some good KELO news: Just went to a 6AM hockey game featuring a grandson, and talked with some "normies" wondering if they had heard of it. None had heard of KELO, but they all knew from talk radio about the government being able to grab their homes. Everyone was pissed, and I am assuming most of them are liberals. This could be one angry electorate come Monday morning.

THE EUROPEANS STARVE THE AFRICANS SO THEY CAN HAVE A MARKET

As all the usual suspects ask us to pour money into "starving Africa" keep in mind this fact: famine in Africa would end in one growing season if the stinking liberals around the world would allow them to grow genetically engineered corn and wheat, crops that need much less water, has higher yields, and will result in the continent not needing EU crops, the factor that is at the heart of banning genetically engineered crops. The EU trash, led by France, wants the world to donate money to African nations so that the EU block can sell their crops to African nations for hard currencies donated by all us suckers.

The environazi propaganda against American GE crops, and it is lies and lies, serves only to starve Africa and make French farmers prosperous at the expense of others. They---the Eurotrash thugs---have done a good job of blaming the USA. Most of the world believes that genetically engineered crops are somehow poison. Total crap.

The Indians in America started engineering food 9,000 years ago, without chemicals. Just look at corn.

Corn started out as something called Teosinte 9,000 years ago as a grassy-like plant with many stems bearing small cobs with kernels sheathed in hard shells. Corn was genetically engineered by Indians over time til it was the corn on the cob the Europeans discovered in the New World. See HERE and then look HERE for some history on rice and wheat also genetically engineered by Indians. Modern GE grains resist insects reducing to near zero the need for pesticides, use far less water, and require no fertilizers.

So the world got to where it is now through 9,000 years of genetically engineered plant foods. For us, not the Third World. The Europeans ban them completely. All have as bed mates Greenpeace and the rest of the eviromurderers. Our contributions should be in the form of seed. That would take care of two problems at once.

To sum it up: we donate MONEY to Africa so they can buy Politically Correct grains from France, Germany, and the rest of the Eurotrash thugs. This is a giveaway, not to Africa, but to the very rich French farmers.

CUT OFF THEIR MONEY

The only thing I'm interested in today is the KELO decision. Maxed out Mama has some facts---WTF are they????----about this and other "takings." Wake up! Nobody's house is safe from a richer industrial interest.
George Will has a literate take down for those of you who like stuff without cuss words.
Those on the receiving end of the life-shattering power that the court has validated will almost always be individuals of modest means. So this liberal decision -- it augments government power to aggrandize itself by bulldozing individuals' interests -- favors muscular economic battalions at the expense of society's little platoons, such as homeowners and the neighborhoods they comprise.
For a really good opinion set go here. There is some very good opinion and reaction. Summing up: this is a victory for the rich over the less than rich. The worst decision in my life time---actually they were arguing Dred Scott when I was an infant. What can you do? I'll tell you what I just did---beside writing---I turned down a money request from the GOP (Brulte???) and told them "no mas" til they got off their gutless asses and did something about this. Cut off their money, it's the only thing they understand. And the MSM? LAT has zero; New York Times loves it (they are in the process of taking somebody's property right now); Boston Globe has zilch; Ditto the WaPo; only the WSJ comments negatively. The NY Sun is all over it. The most interesting, because their are more than two or three views, is here at The Corner. And lots of people are talking about using guns. This thing will not die so fast. (Link to duToit---who has a long record on this)

Anybody notice how fast GITMO vanished from all news media once the poll showing that 75% of Americans didn't believe any of it? Now the MFs are all over Karl Rove. There is nothing else on the tube. Hewitt has most of the good stuff.

The GOP continues to prove that they have no guiding principals whatsoever. They have given PBS more money to continue the left wing prattle, the subsidy of the BBC sit coms, news, and specials; women's ice skating, women's gymnastics, and other material that can be seen anywhere on regular TV. Wait til PBS takes your home for a studio.

Check out the eliteist ramblings about the great unwashed in SoCal up to super rich Carmel---which they just adored, naturally---and see if you have much respect left for New Sisyphus. I'll certainly look at further "postings" with a very pronounced squint. They just hate Anaheim because there are strip malls, which are there to serve the apartment dwellers who can't drive to the upscale malls that Sisyphus just loves to death. What a phony.

And for a real look at biased MSM questioning, read this transcript of David Gregory---phony liberal--- interrogating Karl Rove. I think Rove tore him apart.....link via Power Line....

And for those of you who are sick of this and want some news about Trashywood, well Jessica Simpson seems to be fucking every man in Sluttyville. HERE complete with pix.

Here is what Karl Rove actually said, in context.
Let me now say a few words about the state of liberalism. Perhaps the place to begin is with this stinging indictment:

"Liberalism is at greater risk now than at any time in recent American history. The risk is of political marginality, even irrelevance.… [L]iberalism risks getting defined, as conservatism once was, entirely in negative terms."

These are not the words of William F. Buckley, Jr. or Sean Hannity; they are the words of Paul Starr, co-editor of The American Prospect, a leading liberal publication.

There is much merit in what Mr. Starr writes - though he and I fundamentally disagree as to why liberalism is edging toward irrelevance. I believe the reason can be seen when comparing conservatism with liberalism.

Conservatives believe in lower taxes; liberals believe in higher taxes. We want few regulations; they want more. Conservatives measure the effectiveness of government programs by results; liberals measure the effectiveness of government programs by inputs. We believe in curbing the size of government; they believe in expanding the size of government. Conservatives believe in making America a less litigious society; liberals believe in making America a more litigious society. We believe in accountability and parental choice in education; they don't. Conservatives believe in advancing what Pope John Paul II called a "culture of life"; liberals believe there is an absolute unlimited right to abortion.

But perhaps the most important difference between conservatives and liberals can be found in the area of national security. Conservatives saw the savagery of 9/11 and the attacks and prepared for war; liberals saw the savagery of the 9/11 attacks and wanted to prepare indictments and offer therapy and understanding for our attackers. In the wake of 9/11, conservatives believed it was time to unleash the might and power of the United States military against the Taliban; in the wake of 9/11, liberals believed it was time to… submit a petition. I am not joking. Submitting a petition is precisely what Moveon.org did. It was a petition imploring the powers that be" to "use moderation and restraint in responding to the… terrorist attacks against the United States."

I don't know about you, but moderation and restraint is not what I felt as I watched the Twin Towers crumble to the earth; a side of the Pentagon destroyed; and almost 3,000 of our fellow citizens perish in flames and rubble.

Moderation and restraint is not what I felt - and moderation and restraint is not what was called for. It was a moment to summon our national will - and to brandish steel.

MoveOn.Org, Michael Moore and Howard Dean may not have agreed with this, but the American people did. Conservatives saw what happened to us on 9/11 and said: we will defeat our enemies. Liberals saw what happened to us and said: we must understand our enemies. Conservatives see the United States as a great nation engaged in a noble cause; liberals see the United States and they see … Nazi concentration camps, Soviet gulags, and the killing fields of Cambodia.

Has there been a more revealing moment this year than when Democratic Senator Richard Durbin, speaking on the Senate floor, compared what Americans had done to prisoners in our control at Guantanamo Bay with what was done by Hitler, Stalin and Pol Pot - three of the most brutal and malevolent figures in the 20th century?

Let me put this in fairly simple terms: Al Jazeera now broadcasts to the region the words of Senator Durbin, certainly putting America's men and women in uniform in greater danger. No more needs to be said about the motives of liberals.
His complete speech is here, in the WaPo.

What started out as the most boring sports series in memory turned into the best NBA final series ever. I hardly ever watch a complete NBA game but I watched the last three in their entirety, glued to the set. Great show, guys. Great show.

Because you have to pay to access the New York Sun, none of us can read the entire Rosett piece there, but Simon has stolen enough of it to give you a good bite.......

SOMETHING ACTUALLY IMPORTANT

KELO case in plain English: Summing it up: You and I no longer own homes. We occupy them. We pay the bank every month for the privilege of living there as long as the government wants to let us. The 5-4 Supreme Court ruling upheld a plan by officials in a coastal Connecticut town to condemn nine homes of longtime residents that would be replaced with an office complex and a marina. Also included is a health club. Get this: your house can be grabbed for a goddam health club. At 3PM PDT I have covered 23 Left Blogs. There is not one comment on any of them.

Reynolds has become boring, what with his enless links to sycophants, BUT today he has something original to say. This is a case that to any conservative would be open and shut. A local government seized private property and donated it to a corporation because the corporation would pay more taxes. A no brainer right? Wrong! All the courts, including the Supreme Court has approved. This means we have no right to private property at all. Unless the brain dead Republicans get off their asses and act on this case and others, we have basically lost our rights. This has been under my radar, mainly because I assumed the Supreme Court would never approve of this land grab. Wrong. You can read up on it in plain english here.

This is really horrible. Start writing to Republican Assholes Everywhere. Start with the asshole chairman of the GOP and then follow up with the 2nd in command asshole and then follow up with everyone you know in the GOP----and THIS GUY says it best. Get off your butts on this one or stop reading here and go to the comics.

The only reaction so far has been from the Right. No Left commentary at all, as if they have to be told how to react. A few statements
Thank God. Now we can grab land for the birdies, fishies, flowers, and Left Wing think tanks....

"they paved paradise and put up a parking lot"

The individual doesn’t even count anymore. Property rights? Only as long as someone with a bigger bankroll doesn’t want your property for themselves.

"While You Were Busy Protesting The Patriot Act......the government took your house.

DC Mayor To Bulldoze Ruth Bader Ginsberg's House For Health Club."

They just gave the keys to your home to any developer who can throw enough silly money at local city officials.

The individual citizen is no longer paramount—the community is. The individual doesn’t even count anymore. Property rights? Only as long as someone with a bigger bankroll doesn’t want your property for themselves.

Now, your home can all be taken away if a company wants their new building to overlook the river or the park across the street from your house.

Now if Donald Trump wants to put a casino on your property, and you don’t want to sell, the government can seize your land, and then sell it to Trump.

So much for the value of individual property rights.

Today, I am ashamed of my country, my government, and the legal system (we don’t have a justice system).

It’s a dark day for American homeowners.

Every home, small business, or church would produce more taxes than a shopping center or office building. And according to the Court, that’s a good enough reason for eminent domain.

A significant right that is clearly and simply stated in our constitution now has no meaning. It took just five boobs in black robes to kill this right to which I refer.

Thank goodness the Supreme Court today ruled that cities have the right to seize people’s homes in order to sell them to rich developers.

Now tell me again why the Senate battle for judicial confirmations isn’t important. This country needs a different type of judge on the bench to revisit and overturn this decision.

All a developer has to do now is make a lowball offer and threaten to involve a bought-and-paid-for politician to take the property away if the owner doesn’t acquiesce.

.....the only justification the government needs to take away your house and land is that the government wants more money. Have you ever met a government that didn’t want more money? Me neither.

Property rights are now officially meaningless in the United States - the land of the free (reign of government.)

.....the concept of private property has been abolished by the Supreme Court.

Passing laws restricting localities from seizing private property (which is precisely what happens when an owner is forced to sell) except under very specific circumstances should become the goal of everyone who was watching this and hoping for different results.

If you own any property, and the local municipality decides that someone else “deserves” or “needs” your property more than you do (i.e., the “other guy” can increase the tax base or provide jobs), then you’re S.O.L. They get to take your land. And you don’t have a damn thing to say about it.

This is a wide-open invitation to complete corruption.

It is very inconvenient for the likes of Costco to have to buy their own land. They would rather have the government steal it for them.

Supreme Court Allows States To Steal Property (headline)

Kelo Decision Trashes Taxpayer Rights as Well as Property Rights

Many of the affected citizens have deep roots in their community, including a married couple in their 80s who have lived in the same home for more than 50 years.

Kiss your property rights goodbye
We are fucked.

AS DEMOCRACIES LAY DOWN FOR ISLAM

You better link HERE to the WSJ piece by TUNKU VARADARAJAN. He spells out what is happening to Oriana Fallaci, the Italian writer who dares, like in dares, to criticize Islam. Just in case you think our Constitution and Bill of Rights means nothing, read this.
the Old Continent is on the verge of becoming a dominion of Islam, and that the people of the West have surrendered themselves fecklessly to the "sons of Allah." So in a nutshell, Oriana Fallaci faces up to two years' imprisonment for her beliefs--which is one reason why she has chosen to stay put in New York. Let us give thanks for the First Amendment.
So in the new and improved EU you can be sent to jail, which is where Ms. Fallaci is going, if you say
"Europe is no longer Europe, it is 'Eurabia,' a colony of Islam, where the Islamic invasion does not proceed only in a physical sense, but also in a mental and cultural sense. Servility to the invaders has poisoned democracy, with obvious consequences for the freedom of thought, and for the concept itself of liberty."
A Muslim judge in Italy is going to fix her, permenantly. She should look at Illinois where the Islamic invasion of a prostrate U.S. Liberal establishment is in full flower.....

I CONFESS: I AM A LESBIAN

Notes on a Zig Zag Paper:

Hillary Clinton hit piece....I have to be consistent here and my view is that nothing that is anonymously sourced should be accepted. Hate to tell you this but not only do I know a couple of lesbians, but I am a lesbian. Hard core in fact. The only way to stop this gutter journalism is to cease supporting it. Don't buy the book.

"Excitingly Original" a quote from a so-called reviewer praising the new movie "Bewitched" a rehash of the very very old TV show from the last century. Not only is the movie business out of originality, but the reviewers are total assholes.

Condi Rice for
president is one of the worst ideas ever. She has not one second working with others to gain a consensus, she has never dealt with a legislative body that may oppose her, she has never run for anything in her life; so besides being a very smart AND BLACK woman, what qualifications does she have exactly?

While you may be sleeping: the Chinese bids for Matag and Unocal present us with a very serious problem. There is no transparancy in any Chinese market. Once they take over anything, the profits or losses will be whatever they decide to say they are. This is why their own stock market is in free fall while the world's markets are flying and their economy is growing at a "reported" ten to twenty percent per year. How can their stock market be down when their economy is the fastest growing in the world? It's because every smart investor in China knows that the government is lying. Want some quotes? Go here to the home page for the Shanghai Stock Exchange and figure it out. Here's part of what a Chinese investment type says:
According to an article by Yu Fenghui published on the Xinhua Net web site, there are many strange phenomena in the Chinese stock market that are beyond comprehension. The stock market has not regulated public companies, and it has not tracked the changes in the national economy. While the national economy is growing rapidly, the stock market continues to fall, counter to the direction of national economic development. Moreover, the stock market has not provided a mechanism to channel capital to businesses needing it. On the contrary, it has become the venue for some companies to simply collect investors’ money.
Go HERE for more. China No. No. No.

And the disaster of all disasters: Airbus to build a factory in Alabama. This is horrible, but two Southern REPBULICAN senators are supporting it. Why a disaster? The French cut off spare parts to Britain the second they entered the war against Iraq. Belgium cut off all our submarine engines ditto. We are about to put our own heads into a noose on this one. The French HATE us. Hate.

The NBA finals turned terrific two games ago. I actually watched two entire games, a first for me. I'll be watching again tonight.

Flag burning amendment: a moronic idea put forth by the not very smart (NVS) wing of the GOP. I say the reality of burning a flag is this: people get so pissed off seeing it that the burning creates an opposing reaction. Let the assholes who choose to do this stuff do it, and on prime time so we can all see them. In addition, what fucking harm is done to anybody anywhere if somebody burns a flag? Unless the burning flag is tossed into a tank of gasoline, but then arson is already a crime. We have plenty of Republican assholes. Plenty, should we forget.

And if you wanna get really pissed off, go here. Robert Mugabe is murdering more black people while our black congressional reps sit on their asses waiting for another welfare check. Oh yeah, they can blame Bush. The Conressional Black Caucus is the sorriest lot in our country.

6/22/2005

Oh oh......Yankees 20, Tampa Bay 11.......

Chirac demands Iranian nuclear compliance.....or what, Jacques? HERE

"A German army officer who disobeyed orders out of opposition to the US invasion of Iraq wins full backing and reinstatement from a tribunal." Awarded the Durbin Conspicuous Chickenshit Medal.....

Afghanistan is in deep doo doo. Taliban is returning, poverty still rages, and there is no way to earn a living there. Big article HERE.

Tsunami relief going to gangs in Thailand. They have just taken over and have stolen most of the land from the real owners. HERE Death toll from tsunami now over 232,000.

Europe facing another heat wave and drought. Guess who they will blame?

And Jane Gault better get a life. The total prude censors her comments. This comment that I attempted to post in her comments section is deemed "inappropriate" as she discussed Eliot Spitzer....
Spitzer is going to lose this one too, and he should. Grasso got the money legally. All felt he did a fantastic job after 9/11 when he held the world's stock markets together. Who will Spitzer go after next? Arod (Rodriguez of the Yankees)? LeBron James? Tom Cruise? How about the entire UAW? He has conducted a media witch hunt, taken what are in effect bribes, threatened everyone who dared question his authority. He deserves to get stuffed. Again.
Fuck you, Jane. You are a third rate bitch who deserves no visitors at all.

HEATHER TELLS THE TRUTH ABOUT GITMO...AGAIN

Heather MacDonald laid bare the truth about Gitmo way back in January. But nobody wants to believe a 1. stupid woman 2. a woman who doesn't toe the party line 3. anybody who isn't a persecuted victim. So another chick who can really report has done so HERE. A few points, for those of you who care
A master narrative—call it the “torture narrative”—sprang up: the government’s 2002 decision to deny Geneva-convention status to al-Qaida fighters, it held, “led directly to the abuse of detainees in Afghanistan and Iraq,” to quote the Washington Post. In particular, torturous interrogation methods, developed at Guantánamo Bay and Afghanistan in illegal disregard of Geneva protections, migrated to Abu Ghraib and were manifest in the abuse photos.

This story’s success depends on the reader’s remaining ignorant of the actual interrogation techniques promulgated in the war on terror.
She reports that AlQaeda knows we won't do anything at all to prisoners and published techniques to use when captured....these techniques did not include the American Left moving to castrate the war on terror....
“Prisoners overcame the [traditional] model almost effortlessly,” writes Chris Mackey in The Interrogators, his gripping account of his interrogation service in Afghanistan. The prisoners confounded their captors “not with clever cover stories but with simple refusal to cooperate. They offered lame stories, pretended not to remember even the most basic of details, and then waited for consequences that never really came.”

Some of the al-Qaida fighters had received resistance training, which taught that Americans were strictly limited in how they could question prisoners. Failure to cooperate, the al-Qaida manuals revealed, carried no penalties and certainly no risk of torture—a sign, gloated the manuals, of American weakness.
MacDonald reminds all of us that
the world in which evil regimes, like those we fought in Afghanistan and Iraq, don’t follow the Miranda rules or the Convention Against Torture but instead gas children, bury people alive, set wild animals on soccer players who lose, and hang adulterous women by truckloads before stadiums full of spectators; the world in which barbarous death cults behead female aid workers, bomb crowded railway stations, and fly planes filled with hundreds of innocent passengers into buildings filled with thousands of innocent and unsuspecting civilians. By definition, our terrorist enemies and their state supporters have declared themselves enemies of the civilized order and its humanitarian rules.
Read the whole thing if you are "confused" about Gitmo, the war on terror, and exactly who our enemies are.

And then there is this one from Front Page wherein Amnesty International condems GITMO and barely touched the North Korean death camps. Not to worry, AI savaged Israel too, further proof of the anti-Semitism of the Left.

An economy note that only those of us who have traded for a while will tell you. The Norway oil workers are threatening a strike so oil is up. Those assholes threaten a strike every time their contract is set to expire, and it expires at the same time of year each and every time. The traders in the market started to go long from $50 several weeks ago. Now that the strike has been announced? Oil is down. You are totally out of your minds if you trade "the news." Everybody who is anybody knows the "news" long before you do, other than earthquakes and so on.

Took my grandkids to the movies last PM (Madagascar). Total cost without parking $42. Who TF can afford that? Not a lot of people there either for a product that will be in video stores by Labor Day for $4. No wonder there is pirating. There is a cheap market created by the insane greed of everyone in the so-called business. Everyone in the business. Show business is the only business in the world that could suffer a 100% loss of all talent and executives and have every position filled immediately without losing a beat. Stop and think about it. Who can't do it? These self annointed geniuses ain't even very bright. Not a one of them. There is nothing as unimportant as an "important" movie. The studios are now owned by multi-nationals who won't put up with their crooked bookkeeping, under the table kickbacks, and secret deals if the bottom line turns bright red. Reasons for the decline in attendance? Hell you can name anything, but bad movies are bad movies; but no masculine leading men help, barely feminine young women (getting dead drunk in public, wearing no clothes, and fucking ten guys a month ain't feminine, it's just slutty), scripts from university film schools that all teach exactly the same thing (left politics, character development, scene plotting, and not to forget the mandatory sex scenes with two men, two women, or a man and a woman or two), and directors whose main claim to fame is that they did some kinky little move for twenty five cents and then try to repeat the success for 100mil. The machine is broken. The movies are the same ones I saw two years ago with different titles and different casts--sometimes.

MSNBC,
the lowest rated channel in the universe, has done it again. If you want to view a video on their site???? You have to download the new Microsoft Internet Explorer. Should you do it, you will find that the "new" Explorer will literally take over your system. The "new" toolbar simply invades exactly like the old Apple Quick Time did.

DURBIN CRYING

"His voice quaking and tears welling in his eyes, the No. 2 Democrat in the Senate also apologized to any soldiers who felt insulted by his remarks." Just like a fucking pussy. Boo hoo I'm sorry. So now we're supposed to forgive and forget? Not in this lifetime. He said what he meant to say. He was backed up by Dean and Pelosi as well as most of the Leftist Blogs. He ain't sorry. He's just sorry so many people got mad.

But the MSM slants the story so vilely (is that a word??) that one would get the picture that only the Republicans were angry and that Durbin is a "victim" of a Right Wing hit squad. Malkin has a round up. Is anybody noticing the similarity between the Left MSM and the totally Left Hollywood elites? Both are bleeding customers at a serious rate and both refuse to change what they are doing. Incestuous management from top to bottom in both businesses will not be moved. Ever. They only talk to each other.

And Dem Governor
Bill Richardson was speeding. This is actually presented to us as fucking news? Christ, at least one government worker is doing something fast......

I'm a huge fan of Claudia Rosett. I thought, and still think, she should get a Pulitzer for her oil for food pieces. She was effective because her columns were short and to the point. We always knew what they were about. But this latest piece that appears on the Fox News web site---link via Simon---is overwritten, overwrought, confusing, and downright bad. Too bad Claudia. Nice try but no cigar. Read it and tell me what it's about. Corruption at the UN? OK but it's a long long long piece.

OK, I'm full of shit and I'm glad. I have said many times, "Show me a moderate Muslim." Well here they are. Take a read.

And unreported strife between Iraqi insurgents and the foreign jihadists. Now coming from all over. Thanx MSM, another fine job you're doing.....

6/21/2005

900 cops vs one little gang, might seem a bit over the top to those of you not living in LA. The Vineland Boyz, the target gang of the police this AM, is a 259 man gang involved in everything from murder to drug dealing. Prostitution is also on the list. There are at least 300 mostly Mexican gangs roaming LA almost at will. They now actually congregate at the Universal City "City Walk" where they engage in strutting, knife fights, and drug dealing right under the noses of the cops. The LA Times aids in keeping things quiet, so that their upscale Liberal readership remains under the drug haze of PC views of Los Angeles. The rest of us know from reading the web, City Journal, and the few times Heather MacDonald has been allowed to write about it. Even at the above link the ever vigilant LA Times doesn't mention any of the other gangs preying upon mostly working class people in LA

I made a mistake on a link to fake and real HGH in my piece below. The correct link is HERE.

WAR CRIMES TRIALS A CERTAINTY IF DEMOCRATS ELECTED

World demands end of tickle torture at Gitmo. Democrats charge military with criminal cover up. Durbin calls practice "more barbaric than the holocaust and Desperate Housewives put together...............Developing

Just a prelude to reality. The Gitmo-Durbin-Pelosi-Democratic Left attacks are simply one more assault on our military. Make no mistake, if you are a grunt out on the front lines you are being told that once the Democrats take over they will face war crimes charges from Democratic controlled kangaroo courts.

They will appoint every hard lefty they can to every position and they will destroy our military once and for all. I used to think it was only a fringe of the Democratic Party that would do this, but from the deafening silence we can no longer deny what the Democratic Party, and Democrats in general, have become.

And I wonder what our country has become. Scares me.

Notes on a Zig Zag Paper:
The Gitmo “debate” is a phony. The Left states a ridiculous proposition and everybody steps in to discuss it. Today’s NYT op ed leads with:
“The United States has led the way in fighting for human rights, but mistreating prisoners makes the world see our moral claims as hypocrisy.”
The paragraph should read,
“The world sees our moral claims as hypocrisy because our press repeats lies over and over again until the lies become the known truth.”
Gitmo is an MSM manufactured fiction. A fiction with the purpose of weakening our military, influencing young people not to join the military, and warning those in it that when the Democrats take over they will charge as many military as they can with war crimes.

Concentrating
on Durbin's statements bores me. The Democratic Party is the Hard Left Party of the USA. If you approve, vote for them. If you don't, don't. The MSM will continue to publish everything they allege as if it were true. We have to be aware of it.

Andrew Sullivan
backs Durbin: does anybody read him any more? He’ll get his job back at the New York Times any day now. Or if the Advocate goes weekly he’ll go there. We are all classified as the "Pro Torture American Right." He'll be front and center for the War Crimes trials. BTW he only really cares for Gay Marriage. Period.

Hollywood
grosses down: movie attendance is down even bigger when you consider the near doubling of ticket prices over the past ten years. Sometimes "following the money" is the wrong way to look at things. Movies are in trouble. More precisely, the mega cost movie business is in trouble. Nobody is going to see them. Maybe it’s nobody can afford to go and see them. A sign of the times is the merger of the number two and three theatre chains. Hollywood better turn Right and wake up. Also, there are no masculine young leading men in anything. The latest is the total fruit playing Octavius Caesar in an upcoming TNT epic. This guy could only be emporer of a bath house in West Hollywood, and even there he might be too feminine.

Any time there is a successful business, that business will attract people whose sole interest is in making as much money as possible. When those types of people become the majority, the real purpose of the business becomes making money, not making a good product. That is what has happened to the entire entertainment business.

Gutless GOP still won’t stop the filibuster. The filibuster, the practice that has always been used to perpetuate injustice, evil, and bad politics, is the tool of every present and future political criminal. The political criminals are afraid to rid themselves of their weapon of choice.

And for those of you who aren't pissed off yet, go here. DuToit has a tale to tell.....

A terrific summation of French policy is at No Pasaran. Great POV.....

THE OFFICIAL ANTI SEMITIC PARTY OF THE UNITED STATES

It is clear to anyone with eyes that the Democratic Party has become the anti-Semite party of America. The American Thinker has a great piece up, expressing the dismay of Jews in America and elsewhere.
The Israel haters, and anti-Semites believe they have found a comfortable home in the Democratic Party. If American Jews continue to vote overwhelmingly for the Democrats, then they will be casting their votes for a Party which is becoming indifferent to Israel bashing and anti-Semitism, and in the case of Conyers inviting McGovern to speak, even promoting these toxic views.
What the PC writers fail to mention is the racial composition of the Jew haters. I have posted many times here that I work around a lot of Blacks; I am a minority group there. The Blacks are constantly attacking Jews in every way and loudly. I finally complained and was told, "Shit, Howard. We're stuck with these shitheads. If I fire them we're closed down." So calling somebody a fag is a hate crime, ditto a nigger, same for bitch; but kike, Jewboy, and asshole Jews are acceptable terms in liberal America. The anti-Isael hate fest sponsored by John Conyers (D-Anti-Semite-Black MI) is an advertisement for the anti-Semitic element that is now so large within the party that none dare challenge them. While the New York Times blacked out the meeting's anti-Semitic turn, the Washington Post played it pretty straight....
The session took an awkward turn when witness Ray McGovern, a former intelligence analyst, declared that the United States went to war in Iraq for oil, Israel and military bases craved by administration "neocons" so "the United States and Israel could dominate that part of the world." He said that Israel should not be considered an ally and that Bush was doing the bidding of Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon.

"Israel is not allowed to be brought up in polite conversation," McGovern said. "The last time I did this, the previous director of Central Intelligence called me anti-Semitic."

Rep. James P. Moran Jr. (D-Va.), who prompted the question by wondering whether the true war motive was Iraq's threat to Israel, thanked McGovern for his "candid answer."

At Democratic headquarters, where an overflow crowd watched the hearing on television, activists handed out documents repeating two accusations -- that an Israeli company had warning of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks and that there was an "insider trading scam" on 9/11 -- that previously has been used to suggest Israel was behind the attacks.

The event organizer, Democrats.com, distributed stickers saying "Bush lied/100,000 people died."
Put this together with Durbin and the lack of Democtic criticism of his horrid remarks and we have a truly disgusting sight. I now ask what kind of real guts Joe Lieberman has? Why is he still a member of that political party?

MORE ABOUT ILLINOIS MADRASSAS

I posted on the Illinois Madrassa HERE last Saturday. Today Daniel Pipes weighs in HERE. Read all of this stuff. Illinois is the home of the super patriot, U.S.(?) Senator Dick Durbin.

PHONE CRIMINALS STRIKE AGAIN

UPDATED 6/20
CONSUMER ALERT: There are a ton of phone rooms now selling "HGH" to old people. Problem is there is no real HGH available other than through a doctor's prescription and the only way to administer it is by needle. It is also very expensive. You do a web search on HGH and you get all the hype and all the buy this now bullshit, but in most of the small print you are told that you are buying "homeopathic" HGH; another way to say "fake." In many you are not told that it is homeopathic at all. Alert your grandparents and parents to this scam; the claims for the fake HGH are the same as the facts about the real stuff. "Don't call lists" mean nothing to these people; after all they are criminals. Pass this post around the internet. These phone rooms are located in Las Vegas, Los Angeles (where else) and Florida. The sales are very high pressure with sales people being "taught" to yell at the poor old bastards on the other end of the phone.

UPDATED 6/20
Captain's Table is reporting
that the famous? Downing Street memos are a fake, typed up by a reporter who now claims he destroyed the original. Go read. These reporters are so low that they look up to see whale shit. Caution: 9:15PM 6/19 PDT: MSM is not reporting it, I include FOX. Story is yet to be confirmed. 10:30 PM PDT 6/19; while Captains Table and others claim there is an AP story about this, I cannot be confirm this either. Zippo at AP site and zippo at Tampa Bay AP site. 5:30AM 6/20 AM PST: LGF is on it too, revealing that the "reporter" is the same guy who Mary Mapes hired on the Rathergate story. Another blogger, Bumer Dietz, fingers the CBS/Rathergate/Downing Street connection. Still no big reporting, and as I said, the AP doesn't have the story. What they do have is here, but they don't in any way say the papers are fake. Again caution on this story(?)

Demarche has a good place to visit for a look at religion and charity contributions. It's called Security Watchtower.

Breaking:
Natalee Holloway found.
In cellar of Aruba Enquirer office. Being held without food til she promised to give exclusive interview .........................Developing

But seriously folks, the father of Van Der etc. may be a witness or worse, an accessory after the fact. The "law(?)" in Aruba is some sort of EU spin off of the Napoleonic Code where you are fucking guilty til proven innocent. They also allow mercy killings, very very late term abortions, and there is now movement by elderly from other countries going to the Netherlands to be given "suicide pills." In the Holloway case they follow some international law and some of their own, depending. Go HERE for some detail. There is NO habeas corpus in Dutch Law. They can basically hold you for 116 days just because. I just get the feeling that these kids have been told, "no body no case, keep your mouths shut."

World Records and events nobody remembers and nobody should....
1. The Victoria Givins world record Anal Gang Bang
2. The world's largest dildo..... 67 ft. high and weighs 347 tons.
3. The largest medically verified penis on record is 13.5 inches long and 6.25 inches around. There are no women to verify being the recepticle of such largess.... Actually the Blue Whale has the actual record: 10 ft. long and 1 ft. in diameter. The appendage is called a dork. So when somebody calls you a dork they are calling you Whale Dick. Say thank you. BTW, almost all women are capable of "accepting" a twelve incher, so there.
4. Most recorded sexual conquests by a woman: the renowned French Actress, Mlle. Dubois, who made a catalog of her lovers over a 20-year period. The final count: 16,527 individuals, which works out to about three per day.
5. The most expensive piece of ass in history was a Greek hooker by the name of Lamia. The King of Macedonia paid $70 million at today's gold value for her services for just one night.
BTW the very first use of the middle finger to say "fuck you?" Aristophanes uses it in The Clouds (423 BC), and the Romans referred to it as digitus infamis (notorious finger). So forget that stupid web crap about the "pluck yew" stuff.
Finally: the world's longest known prime number, one that will be deleted tomorrow is: Now deleted (it is ten pages long) for those interested go HERE. It has 7,816,230 digits.

I've had a ton of nasty emails regarding my recommendation of this blog, claiming literary merit. I'm right and you are wrong. Wrong, only because the prologue to the blog entries is at the end, not the beginning. So here is his introduction to himself.....
Before embarking upon this little blog adventure one feels it would be pertinent to share a few personal details. I cannot, if I am truly honest, and, at this early stage one should at least be trying be truthful, trust in the absolute and charitable nature of writing such an introduction; that is, I suppose, this is more for my own benefit than the benefit of anyone else reading it. I am unashamedly self-indulgent. To suggest otherwise would quickly lead you to believe me a most terrific liar. Here we are then, ready to oblige my whimsy. And I’m all about indulging my whimsy as often as possible.

I was born in a leafy little village in the county of Dorset (in the south of England). This was some time around the end of the seventies, although I sharn’t furnish you with an exact date. My family home was a modest Edwardian country house with some acres of land, a pond, a long gravel drive-way, and a garage full of mostly dismantled classic cars. We didn’t have servants, but we did have a part-time cleaner and chap who would tend the garden once a week. I grew up with my mother who, in the 1960s, ran a certain, somewhat famous, boutique on London’s Carnaby Street. My father was in the army, like his father and grandfather before him. I hardly saw him and I can remember, word for word, the only conversation I ever had with him:

“Are you going to join the army?”

“No, I want to work in television.”

We never spoke again. Although that is at least partly because he died in the Falklands war a couple of months later.

I am the youngest of four children. Lucas, my brother, is the eldest and he did join the army. He’s married to Felicity, who collects pig ornaments. Then there’s the spinster, Charlotte, who is in her early thirties. She drinks two bottles of red wine a day, smokes constantly, and writes incredibly sad novels about being a thirtysomething spinster. Next is Annabelle, the baby factory. Annabelle is thirty and is constantly pregnant. Unsurprisingly, considering her predilection toward copious over breeding, Charlotte does not talk to her. Annabelle is a full-time mum and she’s married to Colin, who collects stamps, plays golf and, in a event that made him go up endlessly in my estimations, once got arrested for curb crawling. I mean, wasn’t he getting enough sex at home?

By way of my degree in Philosophy and Modern Languages at Oxford I landed an entirely unrelated job working for a large advertising agency in London. I am ridiculously good at my job without trying.

Three years ago I sold my house in London and bought a bachelor pad down here in Brighton. I am single by choice, finding the mere concepts of co-habitation and monogamy to be hilarious and upsetting and baffling in all kinds of ways. I have very little respect for my fellow human-beings and I am perfectly comfortable exploiting and manipulating them for my own gain or even amusement… in particular those less intelligent, less wealthy, and less attractive than me. Which is most people.

If you met me you would think me a charming, handsome, gentleman. My manners are impeccable and I can be warm and jovial (if I believe doing so would benefit me). I am witty, hedonistic, cultured, depraved, professional, perverted and angry. I generally prefer to sleep with girls ten years younger than me, mostly because they are easier to impress and less likely to harbour delusions that I might actually want to develop some kind of emotional connection to them. My façade, then, is perfect.

What lies beneath is what this blog is all about.
Again, worth going to.

Notes on a Zig Zag Paper Oprah has recommended reading three great William Faulkner novels to her pride of lionesses and I suppose we are going to be blessed with four million or more pretenders claiming literary knowledge who also raise kids, go to athletic practice, and smoke shit. Faulkner, for most of you who have been educated between 1965 and yesterday, is not easy reading; so don't read him if the endless sentences confuse you. Since it can be tough, you "need" somebody to explain it all to you, and of course Oprah has supplied that somebody. Bullshit. Read it on your own, let it settle in your guts, and then decide what Faulkner is all about. You can't be wrong, even---especially?---if you decide that he didn't know how to punctuate so this book really means that anybody can write, and write so badly that nobody can understand him. Or you may find that his writing hits you in the guts and leaves your head spinning with thoughts not mentioned by any "guide to right thinking." Try it. Read it all by your lonesome without "help" of some Harvard stooge. You may be in store for a private experience not to be missed. BTW if Oprah didn't mention a short story called "The Bear," start with that one, a terrific introduction to Faulkner and his style ---remember, don't let anybody tell you what any of Faulkner is about.

Have a car with a Mitsubishi engine. Time was when the best thing about Japanese cars was that every engine maintenence point was easy to reach. This AM I needed a battery. Quotes were a little high. Found out that in order to change the battery it had to be done from underneath the car. Car had to go on lift and the entire LF wheel removed before battery could be accessed and changed. Times do change.....

While waiting, I read the tree version of the LA Times. Wanted to plow through the propaganda. I have to admit that these guys have it down pat. All the lies are buried within stories, stories are placed, and they have the long knives out for Arnold in almost every column. Teachers Union good, Arnold bad. It's obvious that all have their children in private schools, live outside the district, or are homosexuals; I'd bet that at least half are homos.

New idea of LAT consumer re-written editorials is a bust. Nice try, but no cigar.

Nice to know "what goes around comes around" can actually work. Ten years ago Pep Boys, a local auto parts and repair chain, ripped me off something fierce. Others also complained. The result? Not many customers on a Saturday Morning. Great prices, but once you lose the public trust you lose it and it's tough to get it back.

Smoked a couple of "real" Cuban cigars yesterday; AKA Castro Sticks. The reports of the quality decline of Cuban cigars are not overstated. There is always the chance that these were fakes, but I doubt it. In latest ratings, many Dominican and Nicaraguan cigars consistently rate higher than Castro Sticks.

Some of the women at the Angels game were so hot they could melt iron. Tits, at least at Anaheim Stadium, are back. And back in a big way.

Go figure: as the EU sinks in the west, their currency rises from the ashes like the proverbial Phoenix..... I bet the Europeans are buying back their currency over the weekend so they'll look good. Or, the world is betting the breakup of the EU is a good thing for world markets.

And Blogger? At long last Google has it working as touted. I'd now recommend it highly.

THE LYING FRENCH, VOL MCXXX

Airbus vs Boeing redux....the French (slimeballs) have claimed A380 orders that they do not have. Letters of intent are zero. I don't believe for a second that too many airlines are lined up for a gas guzzling SUV of the skies when the competition will fly cheaper to operate Boeing planes. As I posted here five months ago, they blackmailed Tsunami struck Thailand into "buying" six of them under the threat of cutting off trade. News posting is here.
Tsunami-hit Thais told: Buy six planes or face EU tariffs
TSUNAMI-struck Thailand has been told by the European Commission that it must buy six A380 Airbus aircraft if it wants to escape the tariffs against its fishing industry.

While millions of Europeans are sending aid to Thailand to help its recovery, trade authorities in Brussels are demanding that Thai Airlines, its national carrier, pays Ł1.3 billion to buy its double-decker aircraft.
So don't believe anything the French say about anything. Much of the aid we sent to Thailand was spent to buy the fucking A380.

I don't check my site counter very often because I've had far too many bizarre counts to respect the accuracy, BUT I just checked it and found more than a hundred hits from a site I knew nothing about. It's called The David Lawrence Show and it does what a lot of blogs are now doing, highlighting discussions taking place on other blogs. It's good. Take a look.

Continuing the enshrinement of Muslim inequality, segregation, and bigotry, as long as Muslims are the ones violating the U.S. Constitutional guarantees to all, we have the state of Illinois. The American Left mantra, which is: the Muslim culture complete with all its human rights destruction, is a culture equal to ours and we musn't touch. They have rights to segregation, the subjugation of women, and all the rest of the shiria bullshit. The Big Pharaoh lays it out there pretty good, and he's a Muslim. He says most Muslims wouldn't tolerate the school that has been set up in Illinois, with total state approval, in their own countries. The American Left strikes again; Durbin is a patriot and the fascist loving government keeps getting elected.

GERMAN MEN RETAIN THE RIGHT TO SEXUALLY HARASS WOMEN IN THE WORKPLACE

And the Krauts add even more welfare spending to the already over burdened system. I think Germany and France have killed the EU. But the really big news from Frankfritterville is the repeal of any non groping rules at WalMart. The unions demanded the right to squeeze asses, pinch tits, and make sexual comments to women at work and also banned the complaint line set up by WalMart so that women could complain.
An industrial tribunal in the western city of Wuppertal ruled the provisions were in breach of worker rights.
German males can't beat anybody anywhere but they sure as hell can beat those snotty frauleins.

Europe turns against Chirac....Italy now weighs in on the arrogant frog, calling for Italy to allign with the Brits.....
Italian newspapers Friday laid into France's President Jacques Chirac, labelling him an obstacle to the course of the European Union and calling on Italy to swing over to Britain's vision of the future of the bloc.

The economic daily Il Sole 24 Ore, in a hard-hitting front-page editorial, called the French leader "the enemy of the EU," while Confindustria, organ of the Italian employers' federation, said Chirac should take the first step to get Europe out of its current deadlock, by resigning and vanishing from the political stage.
From the looks of things, Jacques has pushed around his last patsy.

To it's credit the LA Times is trying something quite different: an actual consumer written editorial opinion. But what is the over/under until the "wiki" is swamped by Move On Dot Org or some other Left Wing bandit group just as soon as the LAT publishes something they don't like.

A baseball comment: went to an Angel game at Anaheim Stadium with my son last nite and found the experience totally different from Dodger Stadium. Everybody is very polite at every concession stand. Ushers too, and very helpful. Great looking women abound (and I mean 9s all over the place). The stadium is really a pleasure to look at and enjoy with a ton of high tech scoreboards and so on. A laid back sense of community I haven't experienced in a long time. Then there is the crowd---the place was nearly full---unlike most every LA sporting event where people leave during the 7th inning, early fourth quarter, before the curtain calls no matter what the score or performance---almost nobody left the stadium til the end of the game. Some reasons: the place is very easy to enter and leave (no traffic jams believe it or not), no drunken fans, a team that has a reputation of pulling games out of the fire in the ninth inning===they won last night in the tenth inning---and a fireworks display after the game that at least a third of the families stayed for. Baseball is far from dead if Anaheim Stadium is an example. I felt like I was in Kansas City, St. Louis, Pittsburg, or any of the smaller cities in the country. And I had a good time.

Now for a comment that many will consider racist: all the concession workers were white. No nasty blacks, indifferent Mexicans, or surly resentful minority group ushers anywhere. It is my experience in SoCal that wherever white poeople deal with the public the experience is pleasant; local city government especially. Wherever you deal with minorities, especially Blacks, you can expect slow (the Plantation Shuffle), an indifference that may mask stupidity---and blatent hostility. So there. I heard one guy in a slow moving line last week say: "The only thing these assholes can do fast is run." I'd say that about sums it up. Anyway the white manned Anaheim Stadium is clean, fast, polite, and too cool. Late Add: the Angels won in the bottom of the tenth again on Saturday. Pretty good reason to stay til the end.

I found a picture of the Virgin Mary on my condom........

BTW there is more than good buzz about the new Batman movie. Batman??? I loved the first one, the rest have been a total waste of time. But bbbzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Even the movie reviewer from hell likes it. But critical praise usually means one boring fucking movie for the rest of us.

Lite blogging today---got to put that Virgin Mary condum on E-Bay.

REAL ESTATE BUBBLE? VOL 2

In response to many angry emails regarding my Real Estate bubble post, I'll spell out the "exotic" financing method fueling a lot of the current real estate boom. I mentioned the term "exotic financing" and likend it to the "exotic" woman across the room who you just know is too dam good for you, and who would dump you in a second if someone else came along.....but this voice inside you screams at you, if only you could fuck her just one time. You do and she does.

Interest only loans. The exotic woman across the room. You fall in love before you say "hello." Are you fucking crazy? If you only pay interest you are paying rent. You don't own your home. You will only own that portion of the home that accounts for the difference in the price paid and the new valuation later IF real estate values rise. The bank is gambling that your home value will continue to soar. So are you.

How pervasive are these "loans?" San Luis Obispo Tribune:
Interest-only loans financed nearly 70 percent of the home purchases in San Francisco, Marin and San Mateo counties during the first two months of this year....

The statistics were similar in San Jose, where interest-only loans accounted for 61 percent of home mortgages in January and February, up from 9 percent three years ago
Why are people doing this? Because they can't afford a house any other way. Housing prices are too high. So you go for the exotic "deal." You can't afford to buy. Everybody is speculating. But what's exotic about that? I understand that.

Exotic #1: Pile atop the interest only loan the term "adjustable rate." This means if rates rise, so do your interest only payments. Your payments could rise to the point where you have to sell your house. But it isn't yours. So.....

Exotic #1A: Not only can the interest only payment rise, but at some point---usually within a few years---you are going to have to start making payments on the principal. Those payments can drive you out of your home and into bankruptcy.

So here's the "deal" you grab. You buy a home that would cost you $1,200 per month at current rates of 3.5% BUT there is a "deal" out there that allows you to pay interest only. Since you are paying interest only, and the interest on this "deal" is only 5.5%. You are making payments of only $700 per month instead of nearly $1,200 per.

"But wait a minute," you say, "Isn't 5.5% higher than 3.5%?"
"It only seems that way to the unsophisticated," oozes Larry the Lender. "5.5% over five years of interest only, results in lower payments. How do you think Bill Gates got to where he is? Just sign it."

BUT, once the introductory period ends your payments will jump to $1,900 per month (see below). Guess where you'll be living then unless you have sold at a profit?

Exotic#1B: There is virtually no interest rate cap on the "adjustable." It can top out at 19%.

Exotic#1C: Once you have to begin repaying the principal you are actually refinancing your loan back to a standard 30-year mortgage. Translation: you are taking out a brand new loan. But in addition to paying closing costs on the new loan, you also must pay a $4,500 prepayment penalty to get out of the old one.

So, just like Long Term Capital Management and some of the other "exotic" hedge funds of a few years ago, there is more than meets the eye; there are also things very sophisticated that seemingly have nothing to do with your loan.

But they do.

Exotic #1D: All home loans are repackaged (securitized) and then sold in the bond market in a package with 50 or 100 other home loans. The bank attempts to avoid the risk in the loan by selling the loans to someone else and making a quick profit. They will use that profit to loan more money. These bonds are quoted each Saturday in Barron's. They are known as MBRs) There are also REITS, REMICS, and a fucking ton of "derivitives."ą

BUT when a home loan that has been placed in a bond portfolio becomes "non performing" that loan must be replaced with another loan that is performing.

If there are too many home loan defaults the bank will not have performing loans to replace the non performers. This means a collapse of the bond market. Overnight you would see interest rates rise exponentially. Everyone in these "interest only" loans will see their payments go through the roof.

It is a serious problem in some places in this country. That's why Greenspan is worried, he recognizes that we are building an economy based on high risk debt. Can't last folks. Can't last.

UAW COULD GIVE A SHIT ABOUT GM PROBLEMS

You have to go to the Detroit papers to get a real feel because if one of those papers dares to criticize the UAW they will see their circulation drop to zero. But even the Detroit papers are "reporting" this story as GM shares fall....
With GM struggling to reduce its massive health care bill, totaling $5.6 billion this year, many of the company's 360,000 retired hourly workers are rattled by reports that the automaker believes it has the right to cut their benefits without an agreement with the union.

After losing $1.1 billion in the first quarter, GM is seeking health care cost reductions by June 30 and is frustrated with the pace of the UAW's cooperation. The union has refused GM's request to reopen their national contract to revise benefit terms.
About ten or so years ago many auto analysts asked the question: "Can anyone make money with a UAW contract?" Looks like we all have our answer, but the number of people involved is truly staggering. Probably a million people in total. Socialized medicine here I come. Not even one of the world's biggest companies can afford these lavish health care programs. Afford is the key. GM is threatening to unilateraly cut bennies, and from the undertone of the reporting one can infer that the UAW leadership sees the problem but cannot act against an almost unanamous union opinion, an opinion that has been festering for most of the member's lives. They hate GM, always hated their jobs, and the only reason they kept working was the benefits. Stay tuned, this is much bigger than is being reported nationally.

KEEP YOUR KIDS OUT OF ARUBA

Getting an absolute ton of emails about Natalee Holloway, most on any subject in months. Most, like fifty fifteen, are suggesting kidnapping and putting the blonde into a brothel. From some of the content of said emails it seems that there have been a couple of them before. Far fetched? Yeah, but this is a very strange case. I grew up in a very small town and it's next to impossible to keep anything secret in a place like Aruba for long. The longer this drags on the more bizarre the theories will become. Second largest opinion is that she was taken down by a classmate ---something a real police force would have looked at by now. Hey, I report; you come up with the theories.

Note: remarks from the Dutch that they can't be "cowboys" is a slap at this country (Bush the Cowboy) and a pathetic attempt to cover their own inadequacies regarding the investigation. They not only botched it, let evidence decay, allowed evidence to be tampered with, showed criminal favoritism for well off locals, but in the process let everyone know that Aruba is a "Law Enforcement Free Zone." Nobody with any brains at all will let their kids vacation there alone. Cancun, where the cops stay a few blocks away from the "party zone" and where the vacationing kids number in the tens of thousands, has no such problems. Neither does Puerta Vallarta, where the AK-47 touting Federales patrol the streets in threes. Only the Democrat Hippies think police are pigs, to the rest of us they are absolutely necessary.

WTF and I mean WTF??? Have I been snorting coke instead of smog? The LA Times, the slime secreting maggot attracting rag that passes for our local paper---get fucking ready---has another terrific editorial.
There is an ongoing culture war between Americans who are ashamed of this nation's history and those who acknowledge with sorrow its many sins and are fiercely proud of it anyway. Proud of the 17th century settlers who threw their entire lives overboard and set sail for religious freedom in their rickety little ships. Proud of the new nation that taught democracy to the world. Proud of its ferocious fight to free the slaves, save the Union and drag (lug, shove, sweat, bleed) America a few inches closer to its own sublime ideals. Proud of its victories in two world wars and the Cold War, proud of the fight it is waging this very day for freedom in Iraq and the whole Middle East.

If you are proud of this country and don't want its identity to vanish, you must teach U.S. history to your children. They won't learn it in school. This nation's memory will go blank unless you act.
I'd hate to see this rag turn into an actual news paper; it would spoil my fun. Maybe the editor is away in drug rehab and things will return to normal in a week or so.

THE BEST WRITER ON THE WEB

And this is the best writer you've read in a long time, bar none

J.D. one of my
long time fans has read my piece on boring blogs and suggested I go here to relieve the boredom......Holy shit. What a writer. Not the SOS, and that's for sure. Might offend though so be forewarned...... Gets even better as you read along because this guy can really write. As in really write. Like reading Vladimir Nabokov (Lolita) if he was writing today. If blogdom is headed in this direction it's going to be a fun ride.......Hurry on over there, this guy cannot be allowed to live.

Latest Drug scare----Oh my Gaawwwwdd, take it off the market before we all die. Out of 23 million users of Viagra---this is awful, maybe you should just click to another web page---38 have had vision loss "including in some cases, blindness." What bullshit.

Just in case you don't get Daniel Pipe's newsletter, he hit a ground rule double today. Saudis who come here to live import slaves. And it ain't just a few of them.

And I've said it before and I'll say it again: if you haven't made BET Jazz one of your favorite TV channels you're missing great jazz. None (almost none) of that fucking bop. Everything swings. Just the best. It's truly color blind. Can you play is the only criteria.

FILIBUSTER HAS ALWAYS BEEN USED TO JUSTIFY MURDER

The worst big city daily in the United States has a very good editorial reminding all of us that the filibuster has no nobility at all. Democrats used the filibuster for the better part of 100 years to keep lynching legal. It's here, at the LATimes. The filibuster has always been the first refuge of the scoundrel, and in the case of most of them they have been used to perpetuate injustice, not to prevent injustice.
The Senate filibuster allowed the Senate to fail its "minimum and most basic of federal responsibilities" to those who were "deprived of life, human dignity, and the constitutional protections accorded all citizens of the United States." As Mary Landrieu, the Louisiana Democrat who sponsored the resolution, said, the Senate was "uniquely culpable" for Washington's failure to protect U.S. citizens from a type of domestic terrorism often orchestrated by local authorities. What wasn't said is that the Senate was "uniquely culpable" because it cherished the filibuster — a procedural rule that enhances each member's individual power — over the Constitution. The Senate's failure to acknowledge the cause of its homicidal negligence robs its apology of much meaning or sincerity.
Hey, Hitler built great roads and even the LA Times can publish some truth once in a while. Kill the filibuster. Kill it.

THE NOW BORING NEW MEDIA

It had to happen. As the "new media" becomes the present media it's time to look at what blogging has become. It simply is a gathering spot for the chior. Left, Right, Libertarian, Racist, and all the rest preach their narrow POVs to those who share that POV. I assume that only those who agree with me read what I have to say. Emails that used to curse me, abuse me, and so on have virtually disappeared from my inbox, which means the absence of debate. Frankly there is very little out here in blogville that is worth reading unless you want a predictable view from whatever group you chose that day. Ask yourselves this: is there anything posted on---name the blog---that I don't already know or don't already agree with? BTW: there is a clearing spot of sorts called News Pundit which you might visit if you want wide ranging info. There is also a site called "Blogger News Network that has lots of stuff too.

A SECRET ARMY WITHIN OUR BORDERS THAT SEEKS OUR DESTRUCTION

There is a Fifth Column in America and they want us to lose. Make no mistake, we have traitors in our midst. All we have to do is look.

We've all heard or read about Senator Dick Durban's (D Il) rant on the Senate floor comparing Gitmo to Gulags and Nazi concentration camps. But what did the FBI memo he allegedly quotes actually say?

This is a trick. The FBI memo is quoting terrorist prisoners. The focus is upon "disrespecting" the Quran.
Declassified FBI records showed that as early as April 2002 detainees at the US prison in Cuba had denounced the treatment of the Qur'an by guards.

"Their behaviour is bad," one detainee is quoted as saying in July 2002. "About five months ago the guards beat the detainees. They flushed a Qur'an in the toilet."
The hard left (traitorous) communist gang, including especially the ACLU, is only releasing "excerpts" from the FBI report. This report clearly quote terrorists and only terrorists. Using this standard everybody on Death Row should be released tomorrow. Every one of us that goes before a judge should be released. Keep in mind that this is the same gang of political perverts and philosophical unuchs who would release all the MS-13 criminals tomorrow as well. Their purpose is the destruction of the U.S.

They are the modern day Fifth Column, the perfect description of this popular front crowd of Hate America Firsters. The term comes from the Spanish Civil War and is credited to a general Vidal (not exactly Gore Vidal but a start) who had four columns of troops ready to pounce on Madrid but said that the militant supporters within the city represented a "fifth column" that would assure the defeat of his foes.

A fifth column is a group of secret sympathizers or supporters of an enemy that engage in espionage or sabotage within defense lines or national borders. That is what the Liberals/Left/"progressives" are. Make no mistake.

It includes most of the MSM, academia, and Hollywood; they attack us every day in every way. What is revealing about Durbin is that he's not backing off. He has tons of support. He obviously believes that he represents a majority point of view and intends to continue.

FRANCE AND GERMANY WILL BE NICE FOR MONEY

Are France and Germany trying to kick Britain out of the EU? Headlines in Europe today seem to be casting Britian into the role of slacker regarding their contributions while France wants subsidy after subsidy.

French leaders insist 'Britain must pay more'
Schroeder prepares for cash battle at crunch EU summit
No going back on EU expansion plans: Fischer
Germany backs French 'no' on cutting subsidies

And it goes on like that. It looks like France and Germany are flexing what is left of their muscles. We will see. It looks like the EU actually means all of Europe must support France and Germany.

THE HOUSING BOOM OR WATCH YOUR ASSES

Why booms happen: because there is money out there with no place to go.

The real estate boom of the last several years has been rocket fueled by the lowest interest rates in half a century combined with printing money (increasing the money supply). The Fed did this to get us out of the recession they created when they raised rates too high. Everybody refied their existing homes at the low rates. And what did we do with the cash? Spent it of course. On cars, boats, furs, and "debt reduction" Economy goes boom. A word here about "debt reduction"---paying off credit cards and high interest car loans--the data indicate that while some debts were paid off we apparently went right back into debt even deeper. Debt has grown at four times GDP since 2000 and the "money supply" has grown 20% per year over 2000 through the 2001 period.....a 40% growth in the amount of money out there for us to piss away.

The result of this cheap money boom is a staggering increase in the "value" of homes in many states. Since January of 2000 California housing prices have more than doubled; take that you stock market dummies. In the extreme Northeast housing prices are up 74%, plus 68% in NY and PA, while the coastal corridor from there to the south has produced gains of 57%. Prices in the rest of the country are up around 30%.

I only mention this because as rates rise we will be attracting capital to this country from outside that will hopefully invest in businesses. Hopefully---again---the housing market will cool and not freeze over. Those of you who have been "flipping" but haven't done so lately may be in for a shock. Now for the really bad news.....

The term is "exotics" like in babes too fucking gorgeous to touch because you know fucking well you aren't good enough for them. You just instinctively know the bitch will dump your worthless ass for somebody better the first chance she gets. If only you felt the same way about these "exotic" home loans. Trust me, you ain't good enough for most of them but far too many of you are in them. These include "interest only" loans for the first months or years, adjustable rate mortgages that adjust for reasons other than the 30 year bond, and reverse mortgages. The rule in finance is: if you can't explain it to your ten year old in 30 seconds so that the kid understands it, don't do it. The Fed is screaming because 30% of current mortgages are "exotic." This means the banks are speculating in the housing market and if all of a sudden too many people can't pay......the banks have no money. Which means business has no money. Which means an economic situation that could turn more than ugly. Watch your assets.

6/15/2005

The Schavio family is now revealing just what a bunch of hysterical loonies they really are. Schavio had one third of her brain and was a vegetable. Stories abound.

One of my favorite sites contains a ton of things soldiers are forbidden to do----
-Not allowed to threaten anyone with black magic.
-Not allowed to challenge anyone's disbelief of black magic by asking for hair.
-Not allowed to add “In accordance with the prophesy” to the end of answers I give to a question an officer asks me.
-Not allowed to add pictures of officers I don't like to War Criminal posters.
List goes on....and on.....and on. BTW I have corrected the link to Soldier's Angel.
Add: I share with millions of fellow Californians in that NONE of us knew a Tsunami warning had been issued until hours after the warning was cancelled. TV was running a car chase motorcycle chase in which the crazed biker was hitting speeds of 120 mph. Better than the NBA. The biker escaped.

MAJOR NEWS COVERUP OF NATALEE HOLLOWAY STORY

There is a major coverup of the details surrounding the "missing" girl in Aruba. Other girls report being raped and another has been missing since 1998.
.
FOX News continues their practice of blacking out
their own news stories---CASE IN POINT: Geraldo let go with a bombshell report on the Aruba "missing person" Natalee Holloway. He stated that Joran Van Der Sloot, the white boy in the case, has had real rage problems, anger management therapy, and is considered a terror by locals. The FOX blackout includes not naming the white kid who most likely did the deed. FOX is really not to be trusted any more. The Blogger News Network lets FOX have it too...
Fox reported that Van der Sloot is alleged to have thrown someone through a plate glass window in Aruba sometime within the past year. They also stated there was no police record to support that allegation.

Van der Sloot was also characterized as a bully and presented as someone who might take advantage of his size and his Father's government position. Also suggested was that he had an "anger management" problem. However, no psychological records or formal reports were offered to support those statements.

They also pointed to his apparent indulgence in underage drinking, gambling and driving. As I recall, those aspects of her character were more than well-documented on his website. It seemed unusual to come across a picture where Van der Sloot and friends didn't have a drink in their hands, or were pictured outside of a club or casino.
More and more this story looks like a major coverup by all the usual MSM suspects. There are other reports of young women meeting guys at Carlos and Charlie's and then being raped on the beach. A Boston TV station is also reporting on the "rapes" in Aruba---all meetings take place in Carlos and Charlie's and drunkeness seems a part---and hinting at more things. Still another TV report tells of another woman who has been missing since 1998 who "met some guys," went to Carlos and Charlie's and has never been seen again. There is another web page displaying pictures of the white kid giving gang signs, and reports that his brother declared on his website that his occupation was "pimp."

A Birmingham paper reports that Van Der Sloot got into a shoving match with friends of Holloway in the bar. Further that there were 124 kids on the tour, not just the four girls. A second report---same link-- in the paper says that ALL the kids who went on the tour are refusing to talk to the paper or anyone else.

I'd suggest that there is a major coverup by too dam many people in this case, and the MSM is a big part of it. This appears to be a case of date rape getting out of hand AND that these locals do this all the time. All the time.

BANG BANG FOR BOEING

GOOD NEWS for Boeing as they grab a huge share of the new plane orders at Paris Air Show. Boeing itself seems shy about their huge success, and it is huge. As I posted here a while ago, Boeing is betting big that the huge Airbus is an unwanted product---a dinosaur--and that Boeing is producing a couple of planes capable of flying anywhere in the world non-stop. I linked to the original Boeing site story and the ins and outs of this huge bet against a completely government subsidized Airbus; implied in all this is that Airbus is willing to give their planes away in order to rid themselves of Boeing. The Boeing view of the monstrous EU 380 is:
The A380 is all about waiting. Waiting to board, waiting to connect, waiting to get your luggage, waiting to get to your destination.
This is a victory for the USA as well as for Boeing. And I am assuming that our government is helping Boeing out big time, perhaps through bloated defense spending. We cannot afford to lose business to a bunch of Frogs, Krauts, and Dutch Dope Fiends.

At MEMRI yesterday an interesting post WRITTEN BY A MUSLIM and published in Egypt. I urge you to take a click over there and read it all. Sample:
"The generator of hatred, revulsion, and cruelty is like a generator of energy; it explodes if internal pressure rises. That is what happens to the poor Muslim when he is exposed to the enormous pressure of the religious people in our country, which is far greater than that to which people of other religions in the world are exposed. While for the Christian it is enough to make the sign of the cross, which only takes one second, the Muslim is required to be a mechanical instrument, performing the same action every day. He is required to go to the mosque five times a day, and is required to constantly read the Koran, and to force himself to weep if he cannot weep, and to spend an entire work day in the mosque. No one can make him work so long as he is reading the Koran and reciting endless supplications and devotions. [Such recitations] accompany his every motion and position, from the moment he gets up at dawn to the moment he retires to the conjugal bed...

"There is a barrier separating the [Muslim's] mind from the real world around him, so that he falls into a state of constant hallucination and, as a result, loses the capacity to distinguish between good and evil. He only recognizes the value of halal and haram [i.e., permissible vs. prohibited] according to the Islamic point of view. Muslims are burdened with many repressive restrictions… Freedom of thought and expression are fenced in by Islamic restrictions …"
That this could be published and the writer not killed speaks volumes of what MAY be going on in the Middle East.

INTERNET PRICES TO BE HIGHER THAN LOCAL RETAIL? MAYBE

You just knew this would eventually happen. The states have been screaming about internet sales taxes for eons and now they will move Heaven and earth to nail all of us. Look for a ton of the internet retailers to move off shore because they will be out of business should their prices become the same as local retail. In fact, this could be the end of Internet Marketing. I'd sure be watching my stops on companies like Amazon. Nobody is as rapacious as the government, be it local, county, state, or Federal. What can we do about it? Nothing. The business has to pay the tax directly, meaning that they will have to computerize every state, county, and local government tax and then add that amount onto the price. I think it means Internet prices will actually be higher than local retail. Late Add: emailer, Mr. X, opines that this is just for internet business that has actual stores in the state affected. True, but I think this is the proverbial "nose under the rest room door" and that somebody will go to the Ninth Circuit and they will rule that any web portal seen in a state is actually a retail outlet within that state. Let's hope not. Bush has no appointments to the nut case Ninth Circuit pending.

The Jackson verdict..... Thank God a man can still have an eight year old boy blow him without the blue noses sticking their snoots in. We're talking freedom here.....Clinton raped his wife dot com will be the next big thing. Can you believe that anybody would be so fucking horny that he would rape that? But as Shria Law becomes the law of the land these goddam women better get ready for it.

Reynolds touts one of his pals again because the guy, who knows jack shit about celebrity and paparazzi, blasts the celebs. I had a short---very short---acquaintance with some fame and I can tell you that nobody is ready for it. Think of your home surrounded by guys with cameras HIDING in trees and bushes; think your infant being photographed everywhere; think going to the bathroom as legit targets for photo ops because they shoot through the window; fishing, even at private streams, is not possible because the assholes actually tramp in the stream; ditto if you go deep sea fishing and see a boatload of them following you; hotel rooms are a public place; they actually follow you in your car or cab to shoot you when you get out of the cab. You say they don't bother you if you don't want them to? Oh yes they will. They were chasing Princess Di at 90 mph speeds when she bought it. You are safe only if you have the bucks like Tom Cruise who hires lawyers to sue anybody any time they infringe upon his privacy, and even then he is called a fag---with no proof---a drug user, ditto etc. Should you think that your personal life is personal, you lose. There has to be a line between public and private for everyone.

Jill Stewart, interesting only to Californians and who posts once every three months whether she needs to or not, has a good one up today. I told her six months ago to blog so she could stay in the game, but I guess she doesn't want to be in the game. This is a total "outing" of the Teachers Union and their ad campaigns. Good reading for New Yorkers too.

Because Kim duToit misses all the good stuff, I direct you HERE. We're talking serious HOT.

I swear, I posted this a full 24 hours before the Journal. Canadian Health Care System court decision is going to affect us, like it or not. Summing it up, their court said that the government cannot prevent individuals from getting Health Care from anybody they chose to. Especially (gasp, scream) private doctors inside of Canada. Hillary Clinton's Health Care plot had a key provision banning private health care. This means that no matter what she and the Democrats do, they cannot ban individuals from getting their own health care. The entire decision is HERE.

The real state of Canadian Health care has been common knowledge to most of us on the Right for years, while people on the left totally believe that the Canadian system is near perfect. They believe that becuase the MSM has been preaching that Gospel for years. Maxed Out Mama links to this latest evaluation, but there have been a hundred others. For a sickening list of MSM lying praise, go to this Google link. When this Fraser Report came out a year or so ago every MSM outlet attacked it. Later, most in Canada admitted the report was truel

The Canadian decision will facilitate a national healthcare system in the U.S. that will mean the system remains the same but pretends to be something different.

As a practical matter the rich will always find a way, as will politicians and "special cases" like the cops and the military. "Special cases" will spread to include every victim group under the sun leaving us with a federally funded health care system for the lower middle class on down who will demand every esoteric medical procedure, diagnostic test, and endless hospitalization under the sun. INCLUDING private care. All on our dime of course.

Ah, er, cough---the Movie Reviewer from Hell, these mass murderers of everything cinematic, slobber all over themselves in praising--no, ejaculating--over Mr. and Mrs. Smith and Cinderella Man. If they like these pix they have to be good. Brad Pitt in a movie that actually makes money? Deal with it.

IF HER PARENTS LIVED IN A TRAILER NOBODY WOULD CARE

Natalie Holloway--My take---Yeah, the coverage is over blown, over wrought, and over the top, but not because of race. It's because of class. The dominant middle class in this country is the one that will send their darlings off to Cancun, Arruba, Puerto Vallarta, and the other watering spots in the local Americas. Had the girl been the daughter of a black doctor or celeb the coverage would be the same.

Those of us in the middle class are affected by this, and only the middle class. We have the money to send our kids to Paradise for a few days. We think, "it could happen to us. How can we protect our daughter when we send her to Rio next year?"

Who would care about a ghetto Black missing on her way to the local 7-11? Or a poor white girl with parents living in a trailer who vanishes on her way to the prom? We have a middle class society and that middle class has to be fed news that affects them or they will switch channels.

DEAN IS TELLING IT LIKE IT IS

I'm going to try to summarize here but the gist of the argument is that the Democrats killed the Republicans in the white-non Christian part of the electorate 66% to 33%.

When you take an actual poll of likely voters, the difference is bigger: 70% to 30% in favor of the Dems. The Democrats are using new polls that show a white Christian coalition versus a non-white and / or non-Christian coalition. It clearly shows that the non-white/non Christian group is gowing in numbers. The white Christian group shrinking. In other words the Non White/ Non Christian voting group is about to become the dominant group.

The GOP is winning 60% of a group that is shrinking by the day in terms of the percentage of the voting population. On the other hand the Democrats are winning a huge 70% of the non-Christian (secular-Atheist) part of the electorate. Worse, the white-Christian under 40 group is dropping in numbers by an astonishing degree.
Almost 60% of Democratic voters are non-white and / or non-Christian. By comparison, less than 25% of Republican voters fit that description. That is a shocking difference in diversity.
Another thing the Deaniacs are looking at is the literal eradication of the Christian religion. This is aided by the ACLU stomping on all Christian expressions everywhere--Christmas, Easter, displays of the cross, etc.---and the child abuse scandals within the Catholic Church.
According to the American Religious Identification Survey study by CUNY, in 1990, 24.215 million adult Americans were estimated to be in the "non-Christian" group. In 2001, 48.467 million adult Americans were estimated to be in this group. Not only did this group double in size over that eleven-year period, it actually represented 75% of the total increase in the adult population over those eleven years. And I repeat: Kerry won 86% of the new voters in this demographic in 2004.
In case you don't read Hugh Hewitt go HERE. I think this is exactly what the Democrats want and what Bush is allowing to happen. This post rings true to me and I think we are about to see the end of the GOP because whites and Christians combined are about to become a minority. A detailed breakdown can be found at this site.

DEAN IS RIGHT AND THE DEMOCRATS KNOW IT. They have now come out in support. The white-Christian coalition is toast. It's a minority to be crushed by the non-white atheist coalition. Period.

Things financial: the dollar has ridden into the resistance area of long standing. If it breaks through 92 and change, watch out. Is this suddenly strong dollar bad for us? I don't know, I suppose it is psychologically good. But always consider that a strong dollar attracts foreign investment and because the EU won't change rates (two years with the same rate) our dollar is soaking up the loose change from all over the world; so far only into our bonds, not stocks. Then there is the possibility that we have made a secret deal with OPEC to strengthen the dollar while they lower the oil price. (Ho ho that's rich) Otherwise we are paying even more than we know for oil. $55 in cheap dollars vx $55 in stronger dollar. All this has more to do with the EU bitch fight. Here is the spread chart between the EC and the dollar. As I've said repeatedly, the EC has no trading record and it is a mistake to place much reliance on the spread. This chart showing the dollar Swiss Franc spread will show you exactly the historical trading pattern. This monthly chart takes you back to 1991. Oh, BTW the brain dead UAW is negotiating for changes in the health benefits, but don't hold your breath. There will be even more layoffs at GM.

All cultures are equal, and shut your mouth: "Pakistani man accused of killing two daughters for failing to serve him water." Then there is this one: "Pakistan court orders 12 men freed in gang rape."

U.S. runs a Gulag: Amnesty International.

HERE COMES CNN. Was at a friend's house yesterday for about four hours. His wife was watching CNN because "they are doing stories that FOX doesn't know exist." She beckoned me over as a story flashed on revealing the hard core drug use and prostitution on Arruba, the areas of the island each occupied, and discussed the possiblity of Natalie Holloway being in either area---not possible, said many---there was also a detailed piece about the killing of five guys with a roadside bomb in Iraq. CNN was once a news channel. They could become one again. Take a look at Headline News.....they're baaaaaaaack.... And while you're at it, take a look at their new site and tell me that any blogger gives you real news. CNN is a classic example of what can be done by a real news organization with real reporters all over the world. If you look to the blogs for news you don't know what is happening.

Best roundup of all the prisoner abuse stuff is HERE by Heather MacDonald. Another great piece. Another well written piece that all can understand.

I was wrong? No way. Well, maybe......The following refers once again to the post about the corruption in Iraq. I have since removed the inaccurate post.
This is an edited copy of an email I received from a totally reliable source with a resume' that would knock your socks off. He has asked me to keep him anonymous, and I will. He has sent me to sources before that were right on. In a nutshell he, as did the comment guy who pointed out the errors in the laundry and other facts, says that there isn't nearly the corruption I stated in my piece, that the Vanity Fair article was a hit piece---using Waxman as a prime source is the tip off----and the reportorial research was selective (what?) Here is the letter:

The very same sorts of things took place when DynaCorp had the Balkans LOGCAP (contract) - where was Waxman then? Likewise, and the article fails to note this, the Clinton Administration awarded the LOGCAP to KBR.

The ties between KBR and Halliburton are clear. (I once drove a truck for
Halliburton in my pre-college days - I earned every penny of my wages.) The current ties between Cheney and KBR are not.

One of the exemptions to competition under the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) is for National Emergencies. Wartime counts. Whatever internal politics were driving the Army Corps of Engineers to make the selection, the fact is that no one has ever successfully challenged the awarding of the contracts. That was legal.

What is also clear is that in a war zone, you don't get the same prices you
would get if you were purchasing small amounts on the open market. They
aren't any Costco's there who can sell to us in box car loads. It is simply
supply and demand. If we drive demand up, and factor in the danger of
delivery the price goes much higher than it would otherwise - and don't
forget the bite.

Yes, the LOGCAP agreements are cost plus. The risk of price increase fallscompletely on the government, but they are cost plus precisely because the government cannot forecast with ANY certainty what the prices will be at an unfixed future point under unknown conditions in an as yet to be determined location. No contractor would bid if it were a firm fixed price contract -the risk of loss is too great. The reason LOGCAP is used, is simply to free up marines, soldiers, sailors and airmen to engage in warfighting, rather than support functions. To me, it is worth the money. 3% profit for working in a war zone is reasonable as Hell. I grant you that the bite is alive and well in Iraq - but we have a nation to build, and certain practices can be negotiated once the shooting stops.

So there. I have now deleted what was an inaccurate post.

MORE IMPORTANT THAN ANYTHING

"Ground Zero has been stolen, right from under our noses. How do we get it back?" Read yesterday's Journal Editorial and file it. Then read this one from Front Page today. We cannot lay down for this. Looks like Malkin, who has the time, and people like Buzz Machine and Simon who also have time, will launch the campaign. I'll do what I can but I work and cannot be counted to lead any crusade, and a crusade is what is needed here. The Hard Left has taken over Ground Zero and I'd rather blow the place up than allow them to do that. Let no shovel pierce the earth on George Soros' dime billion. If worst comes to worst let's all just lay down in front of the construction site. Let the Liberals roar about that. What the Left wants at Ground Zero is
a slanted history lesson, a didactic lecture on the meaning of liberty in a post-9/11 world. They will be served up a heaping foreign policy discussion over the greater meaning of Abu Ghraib and what it portends for the country and the rest of the world.---DEBRA BURLINGAME in yesterday's Journal
PLEASE, GET INVOLVED IN THIS ONE

Lot's of people read this blog and comment. The reprinting of a comment regarding my post about bribery within Haliburton bears reading. Might not be as bad as I said....Comment:
Have to agree on a couple of things. First I have worked all over the MME for 20 years. Hotel costs currently run from $144/night(Syria) to $210/night Kuwait. Laundry - there aint no such thing as laundramats over here. When I was in Suadi we had to go back to our parent company and get additional funding for laundry costs as they were running between $40 and $50 per week and that was for a couple of pairs of jeans and shirts, and maybe five pairs of socks and scivvies. That said, of course there is scamming on the contracts. It's the way of business over here just as you pointed out.
I wish he'd post all over because he sounds right. Thanx, Anonymous.

THE BAKSHISH KIDS

Lots of you are emailing etc. regarding my remarks in yesterday's post and today's. I wrote this piece about bribery in all Arab societies more than a year ago. Bakshish is the curse and if we can't stop it, no economy can roll.

Whether you call it mordida (the bite), un pot-de-vin, or just bribery, nowhere on the planet is it as universal as in Middle East. There, under the term "bakshish", it controls every form of business or government service. You cannot get a job without bakshish, roads don't get built, you can't sell so much as a date on the street without bakshish.

Buy stock? Oh no! A powerful person (or people)simply takes 10% of the stock and agrees to pay for the stock when the accrued dividends match the stock price at time of "purchase"; in addition he gets a seat on the board of directors PLUS a salary. In exchange, the business won't have tariff problems, labor problems, or any problems. Judges take money from both sides and routinely rule in favor of the biggest bribe (he keeps both bribes); hospitals have two sections, one for the people who have paid a bribe and one for those who have not.

Hospital doctors are the ones who paid the most in bribes to the government guy in charge of hospitals, business executives are where they are only because of bakshish, army officers, artists whose works are shown, and so on, pay bakshish. It seeps into every facet of society. This has been going on for thousands of years. When you pair bakshish with the "shame/honor" of the society at large you have hell on earth. Any criticism of a doctor puts shame on the doctor. To regain his "honor" he will go to the guy above him, the one to whom he paid bakshish in order to get his job in the first place, and the guy above him will go after the complainer and perhaps put him in jail. Nobody cares if the patient dies....unless the patient had paid bakshish to somebody much higher than either of them, etc., etc., etc.

It is a nightmare because any complaint is shame. Praise is honor. Everyone walks the line of shame, honor, bribery. Naturally everybody lies in that society. It is the only way a man can stay alive. The main reason everyone comments on the extreme politeness of Arabs is that every word is measured in honor/shame/bakshish. Who are you really? This is who I am (pretend). This food is good (because I might be killed). Everyone honors everyone and lies like hell to get what they may want. If your son wants a government job and goes to your tribal leader to ask for one the tribal leader cannot say "no", because a "no" would shame both his family and his position as leader of the tribe. He has to "see what I can do". Then he may have to go to the head of another tribe who works in the correct section of the government. Haggling is done. If the government guy already "owes" a favor then the deal can be done relatively quickly, perhaps for a consideration later. Otherwise a deal must be made so that nobody is shamed. The unqualified kid becomes an official for the right consideration and everybody has honor. The parents of the kid "owes", the kid "owes", the tribal leader looks strong, the father of the kid looks like a strong parent and so on. It is a society built on lies.

Right now we are in a place where the Saudi family tells Americans one story and a completely different one to the Arabs on TV at home. This is normal. Nothing wrong with it. What is really going on? Honor is going on. The Arab people know what was told to Americans and by telling the opposite story to them on TV the Saud family shows "honor" by both lying to the Americans and getting away with it. But suppose the Saudis told us the truth and lied to their own people? That's OK too, the Saud prince shows he can conduct smart business. The Saudis may have made a secret deal with Powell by telling Powell that they would have to lie to their people but that they are telling the truth to Powell.

Get it? Arabs lose wars because their generals are only there because of bakshish. Their scientists are there for the same reason. There is not one aspect of their lives where competence is the criteria for position. Period.

Except for Terrorists, that is one part of life where killing is the only criteria.

I posted many times over the past few years about the Arab history of tribal affiliations actually being the main structure of all Arab societies. These tribes have a thousand or more years of history and lore. Now there are posts all over the web about the "tribal problem", and it is a huge problem. Think Mafia gangs in the thirties and you sort of have it. Young Muslim men with no jobs, no money, and nothing to do with their time are the hard core tribal members. We are now having problems dealing with these tribes. Big surprise. This from an earlier post:
Arab society is a tribal society where it's family and tribe über alles. Within these groupings the most important things for any Arab (Middle Eastermer) are honor, shame, and respect. It is in their tribal context that the Arab functions and it is the tribal system that is always first in an Arab's mind. The Muslim religion allows for this, because just as the early Catholic Church accommodated to the Pagan Gods of Rome and Greece, Islam had to accommodate to tribal ethos from Pakistan to the Sudan.
This is a tough deal. Very tough.

Working today so very little blogging. Just a comment regarding GM laying off 25,000 employees. Note that the UAW is not lifting a finger to protect those jobs. No offer to renegotiate contracts. They'd rather have 25,000 "brother union members" lose their jobs than work to fix things. 25,000 highly paid people losing their jobs is a big thing and nobody knows how many GM subs will be crushed by this.

Stratfor, a geo political think tank, has an interesting take on Felt and Watergate. Felt was linked to J. Edgar Hoover at the hip. Hoover had been blackmailing presidents since FDR. He had planted tapes in the White House as early as 1937 and knew what was going on in there for years. Hoover black bagged everybody in Washington and knew everything about everybody. He had mastered the leak to the press that was more than willing to print Hoover's stuff in order to maintain their sources. Felt at the very least had been a partner, if not a participant, in almost all Hoover's operations. Felt was #2 at the FBI when Hoover left. When he was passed over he knew the jig was up. The new guy would have loyalty to the president and not to the FBI so all the wire taps etc., would be compromised. Hoover had been blackmailing Nixon too. Felt knew he would be up on serious charges should all the info on illegal wire taps and black bag jobs came out. He therefore used Hoover's tried and true leaking methods to nail the White House. Never say anything directly, always lead people to where you want them to go, tell them what they want to hear, suggest places to go to find clues, and so on. Good take. For the long version go HERE. Cutting to the chase: Nixon was a crook, Felt was so involved in the Hoover criminal pattern that he destroyed the Nixon White House out of revenge.

A total correction to my post regarding marijuana and pain relief. An emailer has convinced me that had she not taken pot for her chemo she'd never had made it. She wanted to kill herself, had two kids to raise, the pain was unbearable, and she had almost given up hope. So I accept that. I stand corrected and I have corrected my snotty observation below. A doctor let me have it too, but I think he's a stoner who prescribes pot at $200 and ounce.

While not
a correction, a supplement to my post regarding Cece Connally on FOX last night: Brit Hume corrected everything tonight.

The totally Left Nation hits the GOP nail right on the head. A party adrift with absolutely no clue on how to lead or govern. Of course the mag is jumping for joy, and well they might. I've said here many times that the GOP is going to lose the House in 2006 and have their Senate majority slashed to one.

PERFECT EXAMPLE OF LIBERALISM

Oh Shit! All of us who smoke pot to get rid of headaches, arthritus pain, and other pains too numerous to think about will have to go back to that old standby, heroin. I've been smoking shit since 1959 and I'm here to tell you it doesn't relieve anything other than the desire to get stoned out of your fucking mind. an emailer has convinced me that without pot she could never ever have gotten through her chemo. She had two young kids to raise at the same time. So pot works for some people. An interesting take here is that it was the Conservatives on the court who wanted to legalize it; the liberals all opposed it. Why? The Liberals on the court were only interested in the danger "States Rights" posed to their big government views. This case was decided without any concern for the pain (real or imagined) of the people suing. Liberals absolutely want to control our lives from Washington D.C. Period.

Sex slave crises, as only 15,000 enter the U.S. this year. This means that only 150,000 (4 million per month) men per night can receive sexual gratification from sex slaves, and we all know that sex performed by slaves is better than sex performed by U.S. citizens acting out of their own free will or the free will of their pimps. The original number of sex slaves was pegged at 50,000, which turns out to be another lie spat at us from various reporters who wanted to believe the higher figure. I kind of liked the idea that half a million men per night were dealing with completely helpless whores. Sort of made us look a more masculine country.

And if you don't believe that FOX has gone MSM Left, just check with this piece at LGF as he reveals how super Left "Fox contributor" CeCe Connelly stated that the U.S. has murdered close to 100 detainees, and nobody on the brain dead panel so much as challenged her. Want to bet their ratings are beginning to fall? Let's hope so. Email FOX and let them know. Late Add: Brit Hume did an about face and made a correction at the end of the News tonight, 6/7. Cece didn't show. Wanna bet she will retract?

Once again, I say that GWB will be remembered by history as the president who started the destruction of the U.S. as once again he gives preferences to MEXICANS over U.S. citizens:
MEXICO CITY, May 13, 2005-Agriculture Secretary Mike Johanns and Secretary of Foreign Affairs for Mexico Ernesto Luis Derbez Bautista today signed a partnership arrangement to improve access to USDA rural development programs for eligible Mexicans in the United States.

"USDA looks forward to continuing to work with Mexican authorities to enhance outreach to the Mexican community," said Johanns. "USDA administers 43 rural development programs designed to assist rural residents and communities increase their economic opportunities and improve their quality of life. Expanding access to these programs in underserved communities in need, especially the Hispanic community, is a priority for the Bush Administration."
Go to Immigration Blog and read the first two pieces there. An add is that 200 Mexicans wanted for murder of U.S. citizens in the U.S. are being shielded by Mexican authorities. The Phoenix News reports that the figure is closer to 4,000, but these are various warrants not people. Gracias, Jorgé, you will be remembered.

The Lesbianization of our daughters, cont. The N, which is MTV aimed at young teens ("tweens" according to them, which may mean ages as low as eleven are targeted) is going to be the stomping grounds for all kinds of gay TV series. After Nowhere, which can only be described as a lesbian recruitment series, is loaded with lesbian co-executive producers, writers, and so on. The N channel is supposedly available in 43 million homes. Not in my house.

Glenn Reynolds and his crew of sycophants are constantly telling everyone that the blog is, and will be, the new news media. OK, go to his site for a week. See how many original news stories actually broken by blogs ---fake stories don't count--- he links to; ditto Simon, ditto anybody. Opinion is not news. News is news. Filled with slanted stories and hidden buzz words, but none the less a news site worthy of the name is Reuters. There is real news there, not like the bullshit on Google, AP, Yahoo and the other sites. Now tell me a blog that can do that. Sample stories there: Russian troops carry out 10 pct of Chechen kidnaps; Uzbek killings a "massacre" - human rights report; Nepal rebels probing attack on civilians - report; NIGERIA: Armed police patrol northern city after violence by Muslim groups; Violence on second day of Ethiopia poll protests; all this on one page. That is a website. This is a blog site. Big difference.

Explain to me why all our Black Congressional Reps stay completely quiet about the latest slaughter in Zimbabwe. Is it because Mugabe is destroying white businesses? Is it because they are only interested in establishing the Welfare State for their constituencies? GO HERE and read any of ten articles on the slaughter. Then GO HERE and explain to me why the rapes in the Sudan continue while our Congressional Black Caucus stays silent.

Gold is up $9 since the polls showed that France would reject constitution, and is up $3 today. While the EC is down a little, the US Dollar is down as well. It may be that the Europeans bought ECs--flooding the market with dollars---in order to support their currency. The Europeans cannot, absolutely cannot, allow the EC to take a big dump----and neither can we. We will do what is necessary to support the EC.

FEEL LIKE A FOOL IF YOU GAVE YOUR TEEN DAUGHTER AN ORAL SEX LECTURE

Not to worry about MSM and any self searching about bias; these assholes are still busting their asses to show that Bush was arrested on cocaine charges twenty years ago. Let's all hope for the unemployment lines to grow just a little longer each week. Of course each and every piece of so-called evidence turns out to be false---and they ain't gunna be fooled again--- but that doesn't stop these "reporters" from digging on their publisher's dime. Next, they will find proof that Lincoln knew about the sneak attack on Fort Sumter and did nothing in order to quicken the start of the Civil War because his wife owned a military uniform company that was going to go broke without some heavy orders. BTW, the reporting site is a gas. Go HERE and read it from the top. And don't fail to read THIS ONE and then there is THIS ONE. All of it old news from way back HERE. Fun stuff for a slow news day. And just when you thought that some sections of our beloved media would get things right, it is revealed that the sensational "Teens Regard Oral Sex as a Handshake" survey is not only wrong, but completely FALSE.

I have eliminated many "Faith Based Sites" from my blogroll. I did this after actually reading them every day for a week. I have no use at all for the "monastic" types who hide away in monasteries safe from all the world so they can "contemplate." Such contemplation invariably yields narrowness of mind, disassociation from reality, and obscure spiritual solutions to even more obscure central issues. I have even less use for celibates telling me about sex and people who earn their living by begging money from others offering financial advice. Not to mention people who don't work claiming to understand my problems at work.

Oh yeah, then there is spiritual advice from atheists who vomit their bullshit all over every PBS channel that will have them. They are the absolute worst.

I find that many Catholic sites in particular are a lurking spot for people hiding from everything. They are so full of shit they use toilet paper to wipe their brows. I think you will find the current list really good. Today's sermon comes from Fresno, and you'll find it pretty dam good. For the more contemplative among you I suggest you visit HERE. A sample:
Bring Out Your Dead:
Touring Corpses and the Yuck Factor-----In his Histories, Herodotus, the first Western historian, relates a curious anecdote about the Persian king Darius. Gathering a group of Greeks who were presently at his court, the king asked them what they would take to eat the dead bodies of their fathers. They replied that no sum of money would entice them to commit such a despicable act. As Herodotus relates the story:
He then sent for certain Indians, of the race called Callatians, men who eat their fathers, and asked them, while the Greeks stood by, and knew by the help of an interpreter all that was said, -- “What he should give them to burn the bodies of their fathers at their decease?” The Indians exclaimed aloud, and bade him forbear such language. Such is men’s wont herein; and Pindar was right, in my judgment, when he said, “Custom is the king o’er all.”
Cultural relativism may not be sovereign over all but it does appear to rule over matters concerning the dead.
He then gives quite a view about cultural relativism.

Some scary truths about Gitmo innocents here:
A detainee who has assaulted GTMO guards on numerous occasions and crafted a weapon in his cell, stated that he can either go back home and kill as many Americans as he possibly can, or he can leave here in a box; either way it's the same to him.
Another nice tid bit from these poor maltreated innocents....
A detainee with ties to UBL, the Taliban, and Chechen mujahideen leadership figures told another detainee, “Their day is coming. One day I will enjoy sucking their blood, although their blood is bitter, undrinkable…”
None of this in the MSM. What a surprise.

Reports are coming in that many members of the New Iraqi Security Forces were looting homes, robbing people, and just plain running roughshod over some neighborhoods in the recent "crack down" on terrorists. I posted the below back on January 14.

MIGHTY IRAQ, IT COULD HAPPEN
A little side bet here: when the Iraqis really take over, like when they actually run their own security, I predict that they will just start killing all the terrorist cocksuckers on sight. Our system of government is not their history. Mudville has a posting up about how more police graduated from police school and how "we" got a bunch of guns out of a mosque while respecting their rights. You just know the Iraqis, if left to their own devices, would have shot the place up and eaten fried imam for dinner. One of the dangers of training these guys is that we have trained a potentially lethal force, one much better trained and equipped than the one Saddam had, and that these bad boys can be led. Just imagine your streets patrolled by Special Forces guys who are totally corrupt and you have what Iraq could easily become. Remember, we basically equipped the Taliban with all good intentions. We have to do it in Iraq, but we may be sorry. Very sorry.

While on meds since Thursday an unknown source gave me a book to read called, Infiltration: How Muslim Spies and Subversives have Penetrated Washington, (link to Amazon) not exactly a catchy title. I'd have called it, Sodomy can be Fun. However it is a book you should read. Fact by fact (not opinions, anonymous sources, or implied accusations) the guy lays out how the BUSH WHITE HOUSE, the GOP members in congress, and other conservative groups have been infiltrated by Middle East terror supporters. Bush has long been brain dead regarding CAIR; this book leads me to wonder if he actually knows what he is doing. The book is available at all the usual places

Oh oh.....Hezbollah Sweeps Vote in Southern Lebanon. They took every seat. Not good at all..... Hezbollah was the group that launched Lebanon into civil war in the first place.

Be sure you go to the WSJ for Good News from Afghanistan. Guarantee you haven't seen any of it, or at best one or two items. Day by day the the MSM, including FOX News, looks worse and worse. BTW, FOX News is no more than a MSM outlet as they focus hour after hour about the Quran, alleged prisoner abuse, and the usual terror attacks. Not one segment or word of the good stuff happening anywhere. At this point I suggest to you that FOX has joined the pack. I don't know of any TV news outlet that will actually give us the news. Tune in to FOX for the latest kidnap, Michael Jackson, Russel Crowe assault, and the bad news from the Middle East. One MSM paper did a positive article yesterday.

For a better insight to the slanting of the news go HERE. It is a site put up by a guy running for a spot on the Newspaper Guild Union board. He is challenging the president of said union---35,000 members composed of journalists and media workers--- who is charging that the U.S. Military is deliberately shooting journalists. (Courtesy Malkin) Here we have a UNION of reporters supporting this anti-US slut. This story is getting some play on strictly Conservative Webs and blogs. The Left slant still rules in spite of the facts that the average circulation decline among 684 US daily papers is averaging 1.9% in the past year. In some places it is catastrophic—Baltimore Sun down 11.5%, Los Angeles Times down 6.4%, Cleveland Plain Dealer down 5.2%, and the Chicago Tribune down 6.6%. Sunday papers are fairing worse with an average decline of 2.5%. This is the biggest drop in the last five years. And no one is forecasting a turnaround yet which is a hopeful sign.

P.S. I bet Linda Foley, the president of the Newspaper Guild, gives great head. She sure isn't available to anyone anywhere because an "organized right wing campaign" has clogged her phone, email, and office.

BLOGGERS WANT THE RIGHT TO RAISE MONEY IN SECRET, HIDE BEHIND FAKE NAMES WHEN MAKING ACCUSATIONS

Comments now open. Original Post from yesterday 6/4.......
If you want to write a letter to the FEC just like Glenn Reynolds (defender of stealing music from artists), Kos (he of the radical left who secretly took money from the Left for a while), Duncan Black (who wrote two blogs using different names and secretly took money for saying the "right" things on one of them) and the other pack of self serving ego maniacs who want to be a special case when it comes to cheating, just write away. The excuse for this massive excercise in mendacity is "welcome to the wild wild west of the blogosphere." It is exactly this type of secret fund raising, anonymous writings (and accusations) together with endless linking to other sites, many of whom are anonymous with no assurance that said linking is not paid for, are the types of blogs that the FEC wants to expose. Were you to find out I was getting cash under the table from the American Nazi Party you'd be pissed, and rightly so. If it turned out that I was also influencing debate, then I am basically a foreign agent.

That's what I'm telling the FEC. Nothing is as hypocritical as these bloggers attacking places like the NYT while they engage in massive fraud. I'm for full disclosure. All the time. For everyone. Or else.

The Euro Scare may be overblown. Gold is steady in Asia.....

No Pasaran has a complete blow out of MSM mendacity today in almost every paper and TV News org in the "free" world. It's quite something. You have no idea of the totality of Left Wing Media Bias til you read it. Even I was stunned. Today's Washington Post is a pure Stalin era Saddam style propaganda rag.

Satire
NFL All Pro, Jamal Lewis released from Prison will rejoin Ravens....Florida Correctional Institue faces dismal season. With the loss of All Pro Jamal Lewis, FCI faces a season without a single NFL player on their roster. “We were looking forward to being serious contenders for the Federal Prison Championship. Now I just don’t know,” said Associate Warden Snoop Puppy Dog. “Had he wanted to he could have stayed here and played. All he had to do was smash somebody’s teeth down his throat or go after somebody with a knife, but he chose the easy way out and he was released. He’s no man, if you ask me.”

His team mates are bitter to the point of taking revenge. “All that piece of shit thinks about is hisself,” said Ahmad (The Decapitator) Armstrong as he was returned to his prison cell handcuffed and shackled. “He raped us of our dignity just to make the white man happy,” he raged.

Charges of Good Behavior, refusal to take drugs, and having an “attitude” continue to circulate among his former cell mates, some whom who vow to “sodomize his wife in front of his kids,” and other acts of revenge upon Lewis’s family when they get out. The most serious charge made against the “white loving piece of shit” include his refusal to send a note to “Mad Dog” Longbaugh when he was sent to solitary confinement for killing a guard. “Longbaugh needed a support system and that bitch Lewis wouldn’t do shit for him. We will remember,” said convicted child slayer Wyatt Earp.

Lewis said he’ll be at training camp soon.

Rush Limbaugh takes a giant step toward racist bigotry by promoting an Al Sharpton talk radio program. Why? Because pimping for the really stupid "Reverend without Church" and launching him on a talk radio career literally assures everyone that this low grade political whoremonger will speak for Black America to white America. He will be quoted by every asshole (that means me and the rest of the Blogosphere) as an example of the successful Black leader; a sage. Sharpton is a living example of Black self loathing that continues to elect and promote raging incompetents, racists, and poverty rights hustlers. Should Blacks suddenly turn to the educated and successful among them they will lose their sugar tit of the Welfare State; their "it's whiteys fault" excuses for criminality and spousal abandonment; and their excremental Hip Hop culture that extolls rape, murder, and robbery. Sharpton will continue down the path of blaming Whitey for everything and empowering Republicans everywhere.

If Limbaugh really gave a dam about Blacks and their success he'd promote a radio show by someone like those listed in Heather MacDonald's column. But that would mean Blacks might actually contribute something relevant to the political dialogue and we don't want that, do we?

Thanx Rush, this will probably keep the GOP in power for four or so more years.

HEATHER MACDONALD strikes again.... It is amazing that a guy like me who stays away from feminsts like they were disease on the hoof would continually tell you that the two best reporters on the planet are women; Heather MacDonald and Claudia Rosset. Period. No contest. No Pulitzer but who cares? The Pulitzer is an award that more and more resembles a Left Wing stamp of conformity and establishment approval than an award for hard nosed reporting. Heather has a "must read must think" article about race over at City Journal. A taste
To fight the entitlement mentality, Williams runs Christamore House, his community agency, with a radical twist: it doesn’t hook people up to welfare. “There are no excuses here. I have no checks to give out. Our thing is: get a job. I don’t use the term, ‘McDonald’s job.’ Five dollars is better than zero. That’s better than you coming here and asking me for a handout.”
And then there is this:
Would more youth programs help foster traditional values in kids? I ask. Not a chance, at least without accountability. “We spent $7 trillion on poverty and lost that war a long time ago,” he says. “I don’t have no silver-bullet program,” he adds with typical realism.
And if you think Conservatives come off looking good? They only look good in comparison to Communists and Race Hustlers. A terrific and thought---remember that?---provoking article.

While you are reading Heather MacDonald's piece, be sure to go HERE for the latest piece of fictional reporting by the always reliable NYT.

The Quran abuse scandal is strictly the usual suspects in the MSM. Ignore murders and torture perpetrated elsewhere around the world and trash the United States. Malkin has a good round up.

The Pain Crises: have you wondered why there are so many spam mails offering pain medication arriving in your mail box? This sounds weird but in the last six months all doctors everywhere are afraid to prescribe anything more potent than Vicodin. No matter how severe the pain, you get Vicodin. The reason? Criminal prosecution AND lawsuits by patients and their families. People in severe pain need relief. So a market has been created. Whenever a market is created, people will step in to service it. Right now I'm in extreme pain due to oral surgery and cannot get anything other than Vicodin, which has never worked for me. If I had a way to get Oxycontin right now I'd take it. I will bet you that there are tens (hundreds?) of thousands of people in extreme pain right now who are going to the Black Market for relief. That's the reality. If you are facing surgery or pain you better order the drugs over the Black Market before the procedure. Just a tip.

Keep your eye on the Euro. "Talk" about countries bringing back their own currencies may seem like nonsense to most of you until you consider the word "faith." All currencies exist because the people using it have faith that the paper and ersatz coinage made from chep metals are worth something. When Nixon pulled the U.S. off the gold standard he released a reliance on faith to maintain currencies. It's natural for people in countries who see their economies sinking erratically like a fishing lure into deep water to blame something. They blame the Euro and not their leaders who have done nothing over the past few years to fix economies. It's the currencies fault, a currency that was jammed down their throats without a vote. Any time the courts or bureaucracies decree laws instead of allowing voters to do it, you have big problems---just check in this country about abortion jammed down our throats by the courts. Sure, it's easy for jerks like me to stand on the sidelines and lash out at the extravagant vacations, doles, and various subsidies being handed out all over the continent, but the people who voted for that stuff are not going to blame themselves. Look for gold prices to explode over the weekend. If this movement takes on momentum it could affect all of us. A collapse of the Euro Currency is not in anyone's interest.

ACLU shredding docs. Drudge link doesn't work; go HERE or to the NYT story HERE. I know, I don't trust them either.....

I may have been very wrong when I opined that the MSM has "won" in their effort to discredit the Military. Instead the latest Gallop poll show that 74% of Americans support the Military as opposed to just 28% supporting News Media, their worst showing ever. Results are here In fact MSM target Organized Religion comes in at #4 and cops at #2 while our political class is at the bottom.

Denzell Washington is a hell of a guy, but naturally the MSM won't report it. Had he gone to Cuba or something where he trashed the USA they'd have lavished praise from every editorial page in the U.S. DuToit has it here....

And those pensions
to union workers? It ain't just GM and Ford, it is virtually every state, municipality, school district, you name it. This is a financial atomic cloud over the entire country. And if you think these big unions will give anything back, think again.
90% of state and local workers have a defined-benefit pension with a guaranteed payout. But only 24% of people employed in the private sector have such plans. (Most public-sector employees contribute along with employers to their pensions, unlike private-sector workers.) And more of the companies that once offered these benefits -- places like Motorola (MOT ), IBM (IBM ), and Delta Air Lines (DAL ) -- are dropping them for new workers in favor of 401(k)s. Health-care coverage for retirees, a costly perk that companies have been shedding at lightning speed, also remains common in the public realm.
Serious shit, guys. Oh, BTW---the UAW led by the always alert Alfred E. Newman, has no intention of backing away from the goodie sty.

Elites try to lesbianize your kids: New TV Series South of Nowhere to Feature a Lesbian Teen. An Ohio teen moves to L.A. with her family and falls for her new best friend in this upcoming drama series aimed at younger teens. Aren't you glad?

And mommies won't be left out of the assault. CBS will present Out of Practice, in prime time. Paula Marshall will play the rug muncher in this rollicking comedy for the entire dysfunctional family. This is main stream network and studio.

And the MSM bags another stinking U.S. Marine. Bet this makes them proud. Go to EuphoricReality, HERE.

THE ASSASSINATION OF RICHARD NIXON

Little Green Stuff has a terrific link and post on Watergate that you may not have seen before. I'd only emphasize that the MSM hated Nixon because he caught their all time darling, Alger Hiss. And for those of you who weren't around, hated is the operative word. Pathological Hate. A consuming hate. Secondly, Nixon was not involved in Watergate at all. Nixon wanted to let the burglars hang but Halderman, Nixon's assistant, talked him out of telling the truth.

However, was he a good president? Yes for all the things mentioned in the post. No because of his stupid economic policies of wage and price controls--another Left program---that caused a recession so severe that it was nearly a depression. The other contibuting factor was taking us off the gold standard.

But Nixon was assassinated by the MSM, and make no mistake. Johnson links to a wonderful piece by Ben Stein in the Spectator.
He was a peacemaker. He was a lying, conniving, covering up peacemaker. He was not a lying, conniving drug addict like JFK, a lying, conniving war starter like LBJ, a lying, conniving seducer like Clinton -- a lying, conniving peacemaker. That is Nixon's kharma.

Sharkansky, who has been all over the Washington state so called election since the election is on it again. He thinks the judge might throw it out.

Blogging lite because I had surgery and am medicated.....
However
I was driving home yesterday afternoon, and I swear this is what I heard on the John and Ken Show, an afternoon drive home time talk radio program in Los Angeles. They were discussing the serious racial problem we have with Mexican Illegals and they played an interview that was taped by ABC news. ABC has killed their own story and has not aired even a part of the interview. The man interviewed (a guy named Gutierrez) is a local racist---MEChA, La Raza---a supporter of our new mayor, and is one of many of his type now roaming the halls of power around here. The interview was a horrid racist attack on governor Schwartzenegger in which Gutierrez repeatedly called him Schwartzenigger. He linked him with the Nazis, and proceeded to describe him as a bigot and not fit to hold office.

Here in jolly old "democratic" Los Angeles there is a news blackout on this interview, as there always is when the elite media does not want us to know what a so-called Liberal has to say. Late Add: American Patrol has part of it up today. Link now corrected; sorry. American Patrol does not have any way to track their pieces, a practice that makes me doubt much of what they post. Here is another of the latest links to the story.

I suggest you put Maxed Out Mamma on your list of sites to visit once a week She has been all over that Oral Sex Gang Rape since day two, but as you will see, she is not a one trick pony.

Gang blow job of "developmentally challenged" girl in Ohio gets worse and worse. In case you honestly believe that a bunch of us "pajama Mafia" types are fit to do any reporting of real news at all, I suggest you start reading HERE and then go to this old Malkin piece from April. That's APRIL, and the school board and mayor are still trying to cover this up. This blogger was all over it way back when and I have to admit that while I knew about it I had no idea that everyone is still trying to cover this up. The principal who tried to cover up AN ORAL GANG RAPE, has just been charged with a misdemeanor and faces 30 days max. The two boys involved have been charged but they are juveniles. The students who stood by and watched and cheered? Nada. The school board who moved heaven and earth to kill this thing? Nada. The balance of the staff at the school who tried to cover it up? Also nada.

The actual story broke in the news
A 16-year-old disabled girl was punched and forced to engage in videotaped sexual acts with several boys in a high school auditorium as dozens of students watched, according to witnesses.

Authorities are investigating and no charges have been filed in the alleged attack last month at Mifflin High School. Four boys suspected of involvement were sent home and have not returned to class.

Also, the principal, Regina Crenshaw, was suspended and will be fired for not calling police, school officials said. And three assistant principals were suspended and will be reassigned to other schools. Crenshaw had no comment Tuesday.
but had it not been for local talk radio and bloggers, this horrible crime would have been covered up, in fact it IS still being covered up as I write this. Some Left bloggers are all over it too, indicating that the handling of this case has finally gone over the line with the Left who are expressing rage also. I think the original story is here from a TV station report. The crime took place in late MARCH, and still nobody has taken action. Shocking commentary from people close to school systems elsewhere include this:
I'm outraged too, but not at all surprised. For one thing, multiple boy on one girl blowjob orgies aren't that rare any more, even in school. There is a fine line between manipulation, intimidation and outright force. Stories such as these aren't that rare - developmentally disabled girls are often manipulated and abused in this way in school. So are emotionally vulnerable girls. Once you have kids blowing each other in the school johns in junior high, things get pretty much out of control.
So now there is a book out---Rainbow Party---perporting to show kids the "bad side" of blow job parties. Oral sex as a teen pastime has been around SoCal since the late 60s. Girls just think it's OK.

Now, the principal and two NAMED juveniles have been charged a FULL TWO months after everyone knew about the case. I think the School Board of Columbus, who did everything in their power to do nothing, should face Civil Rights charges. Where is Jessie? Where is Sharpton? Where is the ACLU? The entire Left establishment is in hiding. To be fair, most grunts on the Left are pissed and are talking.

Question of the Day: WHY WERE MEN GIVEN LARGER BRAINS THAN DOGS?
so they won't hump women's legs at cocktail parties

Sick of reading about brawling French people and ass pinching movie stars? Go here and read about Buddhist Monks brawling in public.....

Dollar continues on a tear. Many smart guys think it will go to 117, (currently 122+) which was the original entry price. I think this kind of reasoning is bullshit because the markets were dealing with a brand new currency no one knew anything about. After its introduction it went straight into the tank bottoming at around .86 before rallying to its recent lofty levels. What's it worth? It's worth the market price. Period. Remember that Germany, while their internal economy is gloomy, has much of their manufacturing done out of the country---multi-national----so their companies are not burdened with those insane union contracts any more. France has some strong, though protected, companies.

MILITARY TAKES CONTROL OF SOME SOLDIER BLOGS

A really super post over at Blackfive that, once again, you will never see on any MSM outlet. The Marine who's letter Blackfive posts, mentions that MSM keeps re-showing old footage claiming it is new. And something I didn't know at all.....
Many of you saw the fraudulent report on FOX regarding the dead civilians at Fallujah hospital - well, as was later reported (after the firing of he producer and photographer) that NEVER happened - people were killed by the insurgents in the area and it was our Marines who came in and made them pay for killing the innocent...
He also has a encylopedic list of Military Blogs.

AND THIS ONE
will piss you off, I hope.... What this means is that every military blogger is now controlled by the higher ups. Bad day for First Amendment...

Stratfor is a great resource and even their free stuff gives you plenty to think about. They have a completely different take on the results of the French rejecting the EU Constitution, and what they see ain't pretty. Eastern Europe, without the protection of France and Germany is now under the gun from an increasingly belligerent Russia. Read the whole thing....
Deepening acrimony between the United States and Russia has bubbled into public view, and the idea that a European state is about to emerge has been shattered in the wake of France's rejection of the proposed EU constitution. Caught in the middle are the states of Central Europe, which have historical reasons to view both trends with unease.
You have to open an account to read their stuff, but it's free and worth money for a hell of a lot of people. Free registration and newsletter is HERE.
The deepening suspicion in Moscow and the events in France are important and
interesting to everyone in the world. But for the countries of formerly
communist Central Europe, from the Baltics to the Black Sea, these events
are riveting and ominous. A stalled or fragmenting Europe, coupled with an
increasingly hostile Russia, is their worst nightmare. Europe has not yet
shattered and Moscow has not launched a new Cold War, but what has happened
during these three weeks in May cannot be lightly dismissed. Central
Europeans are people who do not take things like this lightly. History has
taught them that pessimism and realism are one.
Eastern Europe still fears Germany, feeling that they can change their mind on a dime without being immersed in a European Union. Russia is getting very dangerous to them.
The French vote compounds the crisis. Central European countries stood to gain two benefits from the European Union: membership in an extremely
prosperous and successful economic entity, and the creation of a
transnational European state that would permanently contain German
nationalism. The Central Europeans saw the EU as a permanent solution to the
German problem.
Good stuff. Hope you go there.

Sisyphus lists his top ten games. When you read the situations, ask yourself if any movie could satisfy you as well. It's over folks. It's all over. BTW, I played Pool of Radiance once and it took days out of my life. Movies were nice while they lasted.

Here's a bunch of pix actually showing U.S. soldiers committing atrocities all over Iraq. You may have seen them on MSM---(not). Complete with music...

The plumbers of France rebelled against the elites, or so the headlines would have us believe. Here’s an edited email from one of my readers regarding living in France with plumbers, who by the way are all members of a national plumbers union.

“So we had the plans and called a local plumber with a three generation resume' of plumbing expertise,” begins this story from an American who lived in France for three years while the woman completed university there.

“So the guy shows up a week late, lays stuff all over the house, and the two of them started to work. A project that should have taken two days took two and a half weeks. That’s because they were lazy, slow, and didn’t show up for work most days.

“When they finally finished it turned out they did the job wrong, used inferior materials, and refused to fix it, claiming the job had been done correctly. So we hired another plumber to fix the bad job. Except when replacement plumbers discovered that they were to fix a bad job done by one of their fellow union members, they all refused."

It gets better. "Me and my husband decided to just do the dam job ourselves. I went to a library and got a book on how to do the job, my husband bought the tools and some pipe and after three days of tearing out all the plumbers work and just one day to install the job correctly, we were told we had to have the job inspected.

The inspector(s) came out and shook their heads, kicked at the floor, and refused to approve our work. We were supposed to call in the original plumber or else they would cite us, which means in France that you do not have use of your own property.”

They sold their house two months later—another horror story—she graduated, and they came back to the states.
