For those of you considering the purchase of Google stock at $130 per share, fuhgedaboudit. This blogging program is owned by Google and is nearly impossible to use if any editing is required. All composition pages overlap the screen and can't be worked with. They took something good and wrecked it. They won't answer any complaints. Further, their Google News is weak and Yahoo is kicking their ass big time. My feeling as a consumer is that this is a stock headed down to $40 or less very soon. BTW I have been trying to edit the post below for more than ten hours and it simply won't publish. SLOW???

DA KEWY SPEECH FOAH WEETAHDS

BROKE DOWN INTO WITTLE PIECES FOAH YOUSE MORONS TO UNNERSTAN'
I did not hear the Kerry speech because I find all these politicians are so boring to listen to that their messages are lost on me. I have read it and broken it down. First, he has a program, he has things he wants to do. He hit on some truths the American public will latch on to and that the Republicans have just sat by and watched happen. Be always mindful that a truth that's told with bad intent, beats all the lies you can invent. Kerry's words are in italics and note how many of his ideas are code words for socialized medicine.

1. There is no doubt that health care is a disaster for some in our society. They have no coverage and can't get any. It is too expensive for small companies to add as a benefit. When Kerry said that We will make sure that senior citizens never have to cut their pills in half because they can't afford life-saving medicine, he struck a chord for many people. When he said that "You don't value families by denying real prescription drug coverage to seniors..." he hit more people. But when he followed up with the statement ....so big drug companies can get another windfall." He was in effect approving nationalizing the drug companies. You have to decide whether nationalizing the drug companies is a good or bad thing.

2. He touched upon some stats that show ....wages are falling, health care costs are rising, and our great middle class is shrinking. People are working weekends; they're working two jobs, three jobs, and they're still not getting ahead. We know health care costs are rising, people are working two and three jobs, and because of health costs, insurance costs, and increased housing costs they have serious problems. Gasoline prices weren't mentioned. This will hit home for many.

3. He will not allow the "privatization" of Social Security. Period. This means that no reductions in the amount of money taken from us each month to put into the system will be changed. We will be forced to continue contributing to Social Security in spite of the fact that no government employees anywhere contribute a single dime into the system. He will not even allow the 2% contribution to investment instead. We need to decide if this is what we want.

4. Jobs are being exported to other countries, this is fact.

5.Many people are fearful of losing their health coverages and stay in jobs while sick, too old, or partially handicapped only for the purpose of saving their families from having no doctor to go to. They work solely for their job health benefits .

6. Executives and corporations have been looting their pension plans for years and leaving workers with nothing after they have worked for twenty years contributing to their retirement plans. He says that is over. A potent issue.

7. He mentioned that many of our troops ....had defective or lousy body armor and that families and friends had to take up a collection to buy body armor for a son or daughter in the service. He didn't mention the lack of armor beneath the Humvees that has caused the deaths of hundreds of our soldiers. He "touched" on the horrible VA care without saying more.

8. He will get all the money to pay for this from individuals who earn more than $200,000 per year, presumably by confiscating their surplus income from the 1% of the population earning more than $200,000. To counterpoint here keep in mind that fifty percent of the population earns 86.19% of the income in the United States. The bottom half earns thirteen percent of the income and are not Federally taxed right now. The top ten percent of the population earns 46% of all the money earned. Stats tell us that there are 130 million wage earners in the U.S. One percent of that is not 130 as some of you educated in the public schools may calculate, but 1.3 million. Taking ALL the income away from 1.3 million comes to what? Two hundred sixty billion. So since that won't solve everything we are going to have to drop down a percentage point or two, to the top 90% which are those earning more than $93,000 per. Now we are getting somewhere. If we take all the money over $93,000 per year the problem is solved. Fifty percent of wage earners pay 96% of the taxes and it is just a question of how far down from the "top" Kerry and the class war Democrats intend to go. Making the rich pay through the nose is a very attractive political device as everyone knows, and could work. THIS WILL BE A MAJOR CAMPAIGN DEBATE.

9. He will abolish the tax cuts and claim he's not raising taxes.

10. ...... close the tax loopholes that reward companies for shipping our jobs overseas. Instead, we will reward companies that create and keep good paying jobs where they belong – in the good old U.S.A. This will be a major campaign theme and will work......We value an America that exports products, not jobs – and we believe American workers should never have to subsidize the loss of their own job. A huge issue in the rust belt...

Now the code words:

My fellow Americans: we are here tonight united in one simple purpose: to make America stronger at home and respected in the world. This means whatever you want it to mean, kissing ass with the EU robber barons, withdrawing from Iraq, keeping our troops in Germany and spending the savings at home???

(....my sweet mommy) taught me to see trees as the cathedrals of nature. And by the power of her example, she showed me that we can and must finish the march toward full equality for all women in our country More environmental "takings" of private property, removal of timber jobs, and a quota system for every job not demanding physical labor. More employment for government workers and more lawsuits for Edward's pals. As a young prosecutor, I fought for victim's rights and made prosecuting violence against women a priority... Could mean a Secretary for Women's Rights....

As President, I will restore trust and credibility to the White House.... Bush is a liar and not to be trusted by France and Germany......

He says he was for a balanced budget during Clinton and I fought to put a 100,000 cops on the street.... Notice he says he fought for, not that he actually put any on the street.

I will be a commander in chief who will never mislead us into war Bush lied. I will have a Vice President who will not conduct secret meetings with polluters to rewrite our environmental laws. Bush is responsible for Enron and for air pollution. I will have a Secretary of Defense who will listen to the best advice of our military leaders. All the best generals told Rumsfeld not to go to war and he will have signed statements from many of them. And I will appoint an Attorney General who actually upholds the Constitution of the United States. Without any proof (none is ever needed) he accuses Ashcroft of violating the Constitution.

Saying there are weapons of mass destruction in Iraq doesn't make it so. Saying we can fight a war on the cheap doesn't make it so. And proclaiming mission accomplished certainly doesn't make it so. Hot air for the Hate Bush crowd.....

I will immediately reform the intelligence system – so policy is guided by facts, and facts are never distorted by politics. Not a micron of data about what he will do. If he means appointing a Tsar he may get nowhere, and he didn't discuss the 9-11 report at all. Again, hot air for the sound byte contingent.

.....the United States of America never goes to war because we want to, we only go to war because we have to It all depends on what "have to" means. .

Before you go to battle, you have to be able to look a parent in the eye and truthfully say: "I tried everything possible to avoid sending your son or daughter into harm's way. But we had no choice. We had to protect the American people, fundamental American values from a threat that was real and imminent." So lesson one, this is the only justification for going to war. So only "imminent threat" will send him to war and it all depends on what imminent means.

I know what we have to do in Iraq. Like what, John?" We need a President who has the credibility to bring our allies to our side and share the burden, reduce the cost to American taxpayers, and reduce the risk to American soldiers. That's the right way to get the job done and bring our troops home. The allies he is talking about are the EU oil criminals and he seems to be saying he'll cut and run in Iraq. Or is he? We won't lift a finger anywhere unless France and Germany approve.

Here is the reality: that won't happen until we have a president who restores America's respect and leadership -- so we don't have to go it alone in the world. And we need to rebuild our alliances, so we can get the terrorists before they get us. He's hinting he's Bush but we know he isn't.

I will never hesitate to use force when it is required. Any attack will be met with a swift and certain response. I will never give any nation or international institution a veto over our national security After the A-bombs go off he will do something. If our Allies say OK.

And I will build a stronger American military. We will add 40,000 active duty troops – not in Iraq, but to strengthen American forces that are now overstretched, overextended, and under pressure. We will double our special forces to conduct anti-terrorist operations. We will provide our troops with the newest weapons and technology to save their lives – and win the battle. And we will end the backdoor draft of National Guard and reservists. I guess it will be paid for by seizing tax dollars down to the 80% level.

We need to lead a global effort against nuclear proliferation – to keep the most dangerous weapons in the world out of the most dangerous hands in the world Right! The Europussies have just shown how to deal with it in Iran. The formula for doom. Ours.

Then a broadside about searching all shipping, all rail transport, etc. at a cost that will be paid for by lowering the rich threshold to the top 75%.

We believe in the value of doing what's right for everyone in the American family. Don't worry, the government will decide what is "right" for us.

So here is our economic plan to build a stronger America: First, new incentives to revitalize manufacturing. China can build a precision lathe for 1/3 the cost so that will be made up by subsidizing our lathe manufacturers. The rich drop to around the top 60%.

Second, investment in technology and innovation that will create the good-paying jobs of the future. No mention that tech costs jobs in manufacturing and that investment in high tech is going along like gangbusters.

Next, we will trade and compete in the world. But our plan calls for a fair playing field – because if you give the American worker a fair playing field, there's nobody in the world the American worker can't compete against. Total code words. Like we are going into places like the terror filled SE Asia and tell them we won't buy anything; tell India to shape up; tell China to shape up? Total BS for the Union Vote.

Lastly the tax busters of all time, virtually guaranteeing that the rich will be defined as everyone making more than $20,000 per year and panders to the Teachers Unions. Our education plan for a stronger America sets high standards and demands accountability from parents, teachers, and schools. It provides for smaller class sizes and treats teachers like the professionals they are. And it gives a tax credit to families for each and every year of college. According to the latest census figures there are 16 million college students. That's 16,000,000 times how many thousand in tax credits? Even a thousand dollars per is sixteen billion. Bet the tax credit each year will be more than that because a thousand dollars is "chump change." It will be more like $5,000 per which brings it to eighty billion or so. Then blacks will demand full tuition payments because of their slavery scars, Hispanics because they tore their rotator cuffs swimming the Rio Grande, and we're off to the race wars.

Figure this: the Democratic party as a party want out of Iraq. They want to cut and run right now, unless they give the French the Iraqi oil and pull the rats in with us. The other cutting edge issue is socialized medicine including drugs. The delegates didn't believe a word of the building of our armed forces bit and won't vote for it. They may actually reduce the horrible military along with castrating the CIA with a czar. They will not support new weapons programs. Sunday add Saw a few hand scrawled signs on apartment doors and one home door, and here's a quote that summarizes what they say: "Bring our Brother Home" there is a picture in the center of a young kid in a camoflage uniform and under the picture it says, "Vote for Kerry/Edwards." Potent stuff because it's written by them and from the heart.

Paranoid Boyd's Suspicion File: The cable channels are threatened with a total freeze out of product it they dare show the original "Manchurian Candidate" for the next four weeks. This holds for all "remakes" of old movies. My review of Manchurian Candidate is HERE Many reviewers have pointed out the same Left slant but it seems to be generational: if you didn't see the original you will really like it because the surprises are really surprises.

Notes on a Zig Zag paper: The Code Word Convention is over, and I couldn't stand to watch the collection of Liberals who are for socialized medicine, a pullout in Iraq, higher taxes, mostly the end of free trade, becoming partners with the Criminals of the EU etc., pretending they were Republicans. A conspiracy of the willing on the floor who hated just about everything they heard from Edwards and Kerry made the spectacle unwatchable for me. I expect a little better from the GOP but not much. We will see.

Colin Powell getting warm and fuzzy over the Islamic (Muslim) Army for Iraq makes me realize how little I think of Bush. Muslim army is a code word for Jew Hating Army, and snuggling with that Saudi pig Crown Prince Abdullah makes me want to puke. Meanwhile our pal Saddr is back and kicking along with other tribal leaders who are boycotting all meetings.

Meanwhile in Uzbekistan the Russians are kicking us in the balls again, only important because Uzbekistan served as a staging area for us to oust the Taliban; another failure by the ever alert Bush and State Department.
Russian analysts are now suggesting that Moscow use all its clout - including these economic carrots - to completely pry Uzbekistan away from any US influence once and for all.
Suggest you read it. Another thing our "Code Word" Convention failed to mention.

And as if you need another reason to hold Republican in contempt, they are going to let Berger walk free on "trousergate." They don't deserve power. They are a gutless, philosphically empty elephant without brain or balls. Makes you wonder what Republicans stole from the archives.

Kerry's allies strike again. from Free Iran dot com. This from the weakling EU weasels getting "tough" with Iran. I deleted all but excerpts because Free Iran stole copyright material from a Brit paper. Go to the source and read all of it.
Iran has broken the seals on nuclear equipment monitored by United Nations inspectors and is once again building and testing machines that could make fissile material for nuclear weapons."If the Europeans think they can outfox the Iranians in the carpet bazaar, they are deeply mistaken."Maybe Kerry can go over on his knees too if elected.

Their chances of success seem slim, however, because Teheran now appears to have calculated that America is paralysed by the presidential election campaign and that Europe is too divided to exert real pressure. Western sources said Iranian officials last month reclaimed equipment for uranium enrichment centrifuges sealed by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). The centrifuges separate the fissile isotope U235.

Notes on a Zig Zag paper: Since I don't read Andrew Sullivan much anymore, I had no idea he was having a pledge drive in order to stuff is Left pocket with enough money to fund the DNC campaign. I join with other bloggers in urging you to throw your pledge money elsewhere, anywhere. He now has a DNC logo on his site so you know where he stands, bends over. As far as the DNC logo is concerned, after careful study of the picture I have devined that the the logo on Sullivan's site is most probably NOT a donkey but, in keeping with the Sullivan persona, is a picture of a sexless mule which is defined as a cross between a horse and a donkey, an animal that cannot reproduce itself.

Noonan has only a so-so column today but one quote describing Ron Reagan stands out:
He seemed a nicer person years ago when he was dancing in his underpants on Saturday Night Live. He is that unusual person who seems less authentic when not in a tutu.
Then there is this must read book review of Carmen bin Laden's new book. Read the review and you'll buy the book.
He left behind 22 wives, 25 sons and 29 daughters. Yeslam was known to his relatives as "Number Ten," referring to his position in the line of patriarchal succession.
The headline should read: American gasoline users fined $150 million dollars for Shell Oil's fraudulently reporting oil reserves. Instead the Financial Times (of London) blares: Shell pays total of $150m to settle investigations Corporations NEVER pay the fines, it is always the consumers of their products who pay through higher prices or lower stock dividends.

CAREERISM FOR DUMMIES

The 9/11 Commission report didn't mention our greatest failing and the principal reason our government agencies failed us. That reason is something called "careerism."

Careerism is defined as existing within your profession inside an organization for the sole purpose of advancement. Nothing else matters except rising to the top by whatever means necessary. The result can be as bad as 9/11 or as benign as the rudeness and indifference at the Post Office or the DMV. All the Muslim countries are said to be in the state of paralysis and decay because of the no holds barred careerism that includes murder, murder for hire, cheating on a daily basis, lying, coverups, having people arrested, and collecting bribes for every performance of tasks requested by citizens that may or may not be given which saturates every business, profession, and government agency. We on the other hand are pure, promote by talent, and consequently have the best people at the top.

Oh?

It's not my purpose here to point out the number of crooked doctors, accountants, lawyers, businesses and so on that we have all around us; fire inspectors and cops who take bribes; reporters who lie in print, but failing to mention them before moving on would be less than honest.

The difference between climbing the corporate ladder and careerism in government can be a difference without a distinction unless you examine the two institutions. Climbing the "ladder" inside business is a misnomer since really good people will leap over others as a matter of routine. Commission or other merit pay helps establish standards of excellence within a business. Within the corporate world a company that continues to promote on the basis of brown nosing, the right friendships, bribery or other criteria beside ability, will eventually collapse or be forced to change as a result of outside competition. New management will come in and clean house. At least that is how it is supposed to work and in most cases does work.

Government has no such disciplines, no competition. Performance doesn't matter and is impossible to measure against a standard. There is no mechanism available to government that will eventually weed out the mediocre who are where they are as a result of "office politics," back stabbing, nepotism, promotion via connections, promotions due to bribery or other methods. The most used criteria for promotion is time on the job. People work to gain "clout", transfers to the "right" promotion track, and do whatever else it takes to get good fitness reports from superiors. Time is spent away from work to focus on this all consuming drive. Labor unions shield incompetents, advancement "tests" can be rigged or not given, a dedicated careerist with skills like the spy Robert Hanssen can rig an entire section of government or obtain data to blackmail superiors safe in the conceit that nobody will hold them accountable. There are no checks within the system. Racial and sexual quotas assure advancement of a certain percentage of unqualified people who will never be held to performance standards. A new president cannot touch the unionized and entrenched bureaucracy. This means the "new management" that can rescue a failing business cannot rescue a failing government. The results of careerism is a system in which nobody does anything other than that which will result in advancement or shield them from any and all accountability for failure: the CYA factor.

In our country we assume murder, false accusations of crime, or a libelous and slanderous media attack resulting in public scrutiny, cannot happen. Yet those are the tried and true methods of the careerist. The only way a government can be "restructured" is national collapse due to war or revolution. We are now face to face with careerism within our State Departments and intelligence services that could very well result in a barbarian culture destroying the greatest "civilization" on the planet. We have all had the experiences of talking with stunningly stupid government employees. In fact, we have so many of these experiences that we have come to expect government employees to be lazy, stupid, and rude. It goes with the territory. The term "government employee" is a standard label affixed to a person we regard as incompetent. It is also a derogatory racial term, a code word for Blacks and Hispanics.

So we have promotion by leaks of secret information to media that will result in the leaker being awarded favorable media treatment in the future; leaks to Congressional staffers who will "go to work" on the Congressman or Senator who can "help" a career. Damaging info can be passed on to another agency in exchange for (fill in the blank). And there is the tried and true tipoff to the IRS or other regulatory body. Keeping your nose clean and actually rewarding ability in this atmosphere is next to impossible. In fact working your ass off and accomplishing something is the road to nowhere; jobs in the field for CIA and FBI, jobs in dirty foreign countries in Africa where nobody will ever know what you accomplish, assignments to complex jobs (examining the Enron books) where others will grab the headlines for your work and success.

The result of careerism in government is now on display. 3,000 dead in New York and the intel failures in Iraq are just a few of its manifestations. You fix it.

OUR REAL ENEMIES ARE COUNTRIES

The 9-11 Report which I've actually read, or at least scanned very well, makes a recommendation which strikes me as absurd: the Intel Tsar. This is illogical if you think about it. A further castration of the CIA, FBI, and other agencies. Can you seriously imagine a Tsar not making policy? He who has the gold makes the rules and the Tsar will have the budget control. This again means, "tell me what I want to hear or you don't get any money."

Another shortcoming is the failure to properly identify our enemy. I firmly believe that we have a hundred or so classic Arab ruler wannabees lacking the tools to take over a country or Empire who are being "bought off" by Iran, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Egypt, and perhaps a few more petro-stans. To the extent that Saddam "helped" them we can say a second domino has fallen and joins Afghanistan as a former terror haven and supporter. The rest are fueled by the Saudi funded Wahabi brand of Islam which both Syria and Iraq kept out of their countries through the state terror apparatus each sponsored.

I submit to you that our real enemies are countries; the the above named bankers of terror. Until we knock off these countries we will have terrorism. Arabs side with winners and right now Wahabbi Islam looks like a winner for them. Keep in mind that Turkey is going to be an Islamist state soon and Eurabia will welcome them with open arms, and when Turkey joins the support group we will have an even larger problem poised on the borders of Eastern Europe, southern Russia, and Greece. This is why the rumored Putin offer of troops to Iraq makes a lot of sense. Putin realizes the threat without articulating it. He will send a strong symbolic message to both Iran and Turkey that there are two big dogs in this fight. If we let Iran get the bomb you can bet that radical Islam will have a super-power of their own to rally around.

Our "war" is with actual countries, and I think this is more than the American public is willing to take on. Now.

A new Tsar is the absolute worst idea since keeping J. Edgar Hoover as a Tsar in the FBI for almost thirty years.

The rest of the report does as good a job as possible and leaving Iraq off the table makes the report accessible to everyone. Our other problem of rampant government employee careerism is a subject I'll cover tomorrow.

Late Add: for a different slant on the above POV go here for Ledeen's take.

KILLING BIN LADEN IN 1998 WOULD NOT HAVE STOPPED 9/11

BERGER WAS RIGHT: I'm on Berger's side when it comes to saying "no" to attacking bin Laden. Consider the times. The attack on the pharmaceutical lab in the Sudan was considered a war crime by left writers like Hitchens and many Republicans too, the sorry escapade at Mogadishu executed at great cost failed while the gory details of our poor equipment, piss poor intel, and inadequate troops were covered up by the liberal press. Had the real truth come out Clinton could have been destroyed. When you combine that with Clinton's penchant for running the country by focus group opinion, it meant that anything other than a "sure thing" with no collateral damage was too risky to undertake. Clinton had done no groundwork to prepare us for terrorism, bin Ladin, or Muslim extremism; even the killing of bin Laden would have met with outrage from our Left and the EU cowards.
Consider too that we were in the middle of a totally drunken party in the stock market with people who knew nothing about anything day trading from their homes in a market that seemed to go straight up. Nobody wanted to be bothered. Clinton was throwing a party and everyone was invited, the host doesn't leave the bash of the decade so he can go out and kill somebody. It was "the economy, stupid" in full flower.

Had I been in Berger's shoes I would have done the same. I think it is delusional to believe that 9/11 wouldn't have happened had bin Ladin been killed. We now know that he had little to do with the day to day planning of it, that he financed it with very little money, and by 1998 the plan was well underway. I submit that the killing of bin Laden would have made us even more complacent, if that is possible, and made them dedicate themselves even more firmly. 9/11 would have happend with or without the demise of bin Laden.

AL QAEDA AIN'T NOTHING COMPARED TO THE CRIPS AND BLOODS

Repeated commentary made in the media by "Think Tankers" who live in comfortable luxury apartments, condos, and homes tell the rest of us that we are not taking "terror" seriously. We're asleep in our homes and life styles, indifferent to the reality of the "threat." They utter these pontifications while shaking in their $500 per pair shoes and perspiring (never sweating) inside their $5,000 suits.

Tell that concoction of bull to a normal person in a safe (white) part of Los Angeles who has to plan every trip to be sure to avoid the murderous Black street gangs in South Central Los Angeles. Everyone knows that white people venture south of Washington Boulevard at their peril, and nobody in their right mind dares go south of the Santa Monica Freeway if you are east of Western Avenue. If we plan to go to Torrance or Redondo Beach we have to take a freeway that will bypass the Blacks in Inglewood and South Central. None of us ever go to the Mexican gang dominated East Los Angeles. It is almost certain death or street robbery if one is on foot in the center of town where the notorious 18thStreet Gang has murdered 200 people in the last five years. And thereare pockets of Asian gangs terrorizing their neighborhoods. All gang bangers, including Muslims, are secure in the knowledge that the ACLU will protect them from harm.

Don't tell us about terror. Of course none of this would be happening if it weren't for the ACLU and the fact that all the white Liberals live in barricaded splendor in Beverly Hills, Brentwood, Bel Air, and so on. It's easy to be tolerant when sunbathing by your pool while private guards patrol the neighborhood. The joke around here goes like this:

Q: What does the Bel Air Liberal wear to the funeral of a victim of gang violence?
A: His best black polo outfit.

I've got a quick news flash for all you liberal geniuses, think tankers, and academic America Haters: we know the facts. Just for a sample: three times more people in Los Angeles County are killed by street gang violence than are killed in all the terrorist attacks in the entire country of Israel each year. Twice as many were killed in neighboring San Bernardino County as were murdered by terrorists there.

WE are being terrorized by these racial gangs and nobody gives a fat fuck. I think if you check on other big cities you might see the same. Around here we are all immune to death, death threats, and rampant terrorists called "street gangs" by the Media. We all know the "rules" of disengagement, the consequences of making eye contact in the wrong neighborhood, the almost certain results of JAB (Jogging Among Blacks), or taking your girl friend into a bar or restaurant where Blacks hang out.

Muslim Terrorists worse than Mexican and Black gang bangers? I don't think so.

Markets and Economy
TRADING RANGE OVER

Clear break to the down side and you should hold all investing til market shows it is headed up. All the technicals will have to be restructured. If your stocks are still OK don't panic, sell only on YOUR sell signals. Don't try to read a Kerry victory, a Bush implosion or anything else into this. Just look at your numbers. PERIOD. I am of the firm belief that nobody knows why markets go up or down on a daily basis, they just have to write an article or do some dumb TV show so they pretend knowledge nobody has.

I GOT WHACKED when oil broke to the upside but I'm still sticking with my call for $31 oil. May re-short it on Monday. Sunday add: I am soooo tempted to short oil tonight. Last week's rally was on very low volume, it LOOKS like it COULD BE an inverted head and shoulders in the making (on the weekly), and I could make a fortune IF I'm right. I'm gunna watch. I need more than suspicion and hope in order to play. But God Dam it a short looks good. I always keep in mind that (a) we could have an inverted blow off bottom, (b) if charts were actually worth a shit we wouldn't have any markets at all, (c) a "W" could be forming, (d) there is a conspiracy like they say in the Manchurian Candidate.

Some things to listen for from the Democrats this week: corporate profits are soaring and the workers are getting shit; wages have not gone up, employment in the factory sector is still down (and will stay down in my opinion), nothing on God's earth is going to put the Army of Morons to work in a hi-tech society, so look for the deliberately uneducated to raise hell there.

But aside from all this is a fact: the economy grows when wages to workers grows. Sixty million people with an extra fifty bucks per week in their pockets on a regular basis is far more important than rising stock prices and rising dividends. We not only have a low jobs recovery we have another huge gap between profits and wage hikes. This cannot continue. The Microsoft dividend payment hides some real problems within that company. I think we have systemic problems of far too many speculators in the market as opposed to long term investors, a ton of useless Wall Street analysts, commission driven brokerage houses, and the new scam of FOREX Trading that every brokerage firm now offers because of the huge profits involved, in spite of the fact that clients all lose their asses.

I WAS TOTALLY FULL OF IT

Another psycho woman all of us are glad we didn't marry, is the way Jacobsen, the ditzo who screamed "terrorist attack" on a flight she had taken a while back, should be accurately described. The Air Marshalls have said that SHE was the problem on board the plane, that she got hysterical, and that the Syrians had been checked out, were a band, etc. etc. etc. Only MSNBC and CNN got sucked into "reporting this. Front Page should do a retraction. Will they pull a New York Times and let it slide? We shall see. I have deleted my delusional postings on the matter. I got sucked in. Too. Another case of believing what I wanted to believe, I think.

THE ATTACK OF THE LEFT WING SUMMER MOVIES
A Guide to the Left Wing Messages within Summer Movies

WARNING: THE MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE is without a doubt THE Hollywood Left propaganda movie of the summer.

If you want a textbook Left Wing propaganda film this is the movie to see. Done in the classic agit-prop style of Brecht, Eisenstein, Goebbels and Clifford Odetts, the purpose is to prepare you to accept the past accusations against Bush and the Republicans, and in the coming months to embrace the political messages that will be tossed your way by the various super Left revolutionary movements. In the classic Marxist formula for social realism, the heroes are "working class" (in this case ex-GIs from Gulf War I) while the government (Bush) and business are arch villains. Facts mean nothing within a work of fiction. This movie twists every fact, every Bush ad, and with Meryl Streep as an über bitch John Ashcroft or Gestapo Chief Himmler or KGB Chief Beria in full flower you WILL GET THE MESSAGE. She is total evil and represents business and Bush.

Keep in mind that YOU are the Hollywood Left's object of cinematic post hypnotic suggestion should you choose to see this deliberate effort to manipulate your perceptions.

The Manchurian Candidate is a "twist" of the 1962 movie of the same title in which the villain was the Communist Chinese who placed two GIs back into the states who would be triggered by a buried hypnotic suggestion and turned into assassins completely brainwashed to take orders from their Communist controller. A particular politically connected GI was awarded a Congressional Medal of Honor by the tricky commie rats and the plot is set in motion. (I know, a stupid plot that was never believable and the movie lost its ass) The trigger phrase, "Raymond, why don't you pass the time by playing a little solitaire?" when uttered by the American controller, created a human robot set to kill a the Republican Candidate for President of the U.S.

In this twisted remake the villain(s) are the oil companies and the White House. You will be entertained by a good story and good acting, but its purpose is to have you come out of the theatre supposedly prepared for the Democratic message that the Bush White House went to war in both Afghanistan and Iraq over oil, oil pipelines in Afghanistan, and oil companies. It is intended as an anti 9/11 Report, an off the wall attack on both Bush and the Patriot Act, a George Soros view of the "real" reasons we went to war and it does its job very well; unless you have the facts and don't believe it. BTW the movie is so over the top that it is even less believable than the original.

Way worse in its insidious manipulation than Fahrenheit 9-11, because this is a big money feature film with big stars and lots of techno camera stuff. This is the Hollywood Left going back to its agit prop Communist past. Stay alert. Note that ALL the "liberal" critics just love it. Late Add: I go to work around 4AM so I missed the Frank Rich trash job. Even Frank Rich, the guy who attacked Gibson without ever seeing Passion of the Christ, the most Left of all critics, sees, after seeing the movie, that this is pure propaganda for the Hate America Left. Problem is that kids, college kids, and other vulnerable people will believe it. He also points out that all corporate heads at Paramount and owner Viacom are hard core Lefties, as are Streep and bit player Al Franken.

Should you think I am paranoid, understand the essence of good propaganda is not to so much send a message but to prepare the mind to accept messages delivered from other sources; government, political movements, media. It is no secret that the Left controls the movie business absolutely and they view all "art" as a weapon in the "class war." They are descendents of the Stalin and Goebbels propaganda machines and they haven't changed. Hollywood is almost 100% the offspring of the Stalinist propaganda "rules" which have produced some really good movies, particularly here and in England. The French "reds" fucked it all up as usual by being obvious and boring. Nobody likes "downer" endings.

Very late add: for those of you linking from Roger L. Simon, Bill Quick, or are regualr with me, go to Kim duToit for an hysterical display of a real man who can't sell out.....Shit, he can't even rent out. He accepts an ad for Manchurian Candidate and then attacks it like a fedayeen on meth.

Fundamentalism, to use the cliché of the moment, is the new fascism. This quote from the New Criterion pretty well sums up the Political Correctness of the war on terror. It is the left trying to tar all fundamentalist religions as dangerous. Our secular Left elite, always eager to ridicule anyone who believes in God, has chosen this designation well. It covers Orthodox Jews (the persecutors of the poor PLO), Bible believing Christians (who obviously sponsor the abortion mill killings, as well as George Bush), and everyone else with a belief system.
........it is an irresistible rhetorical triumph to be able to package together all the people of whom you disapprove in one nauseous bundle. Associating terrorists with fundamentalist Christians is, especially for some American Democrats, a deeply satisfying new take on the state of the world..........liberals, for all their airy talk of tolerance, are determined that everyone should toe their own line.
The fundamentalist label is an attack on the Koran, the Bible, the Torah, and every known religious text in the world. It's a very interesting read.

Look at this in light of the power-challenge and honor shame. Allawi was shamed by the U.S. when publicly told he couldn't pardon people who had killed American soldiers. So he has struck back to regain honor so he can continue the push for power by re-opening Sadir's newspaper, the one the U.S. shut down.

The closing of the radical Shiite newspaper was a catalyst for some of the worst anti-American mayhem of the occupation.

ALLAWI BEHAVES IN AN OLD AND RESPECTED TRADITION

The oh so shocking tale of Allawi personally executing prisoners with his own pistol, is an event liberals will start sobbing their asses off by late this afternoon. Executions are par for the course in that part of the world. What we are seeing is the "classic" power-challenge dialectic being played out for all Iraqis to see. It is a rich tradition going back forever. Once you take over, you get rid of all challengers. Then you get rid of people who look like challengers. You keep doing this til either a challenger sneaks through or you die an easy death with a few bitches around to suck your last will and testiment. See my post below about the brief history (since 1945+) of the power-challenge dialectic in that part of the world. Once you take the step to power you do whatever it takes to stay there or you lose respect. If you lose respect you lose honor. Which means you are shamed. His moves, starting with the personal execution of terrorists, will be respected far and wide; "shit, the m****er f**er killed them (fill in the blank) personally."

Everyone except Kerry HQ, the New York and LA Times, the media, and Academia, where personal anguish for innocent terrorists will cause moral floggings. The most mpressed will be our Mr. Saddr who will realize that he is next unless he kills Allawi first. The "rich" tradition of the power-challenge dialectic is that when you see youhave a pair of deuces against three kings showing, you go into exile. Fast. Failure to do this results in almost instant accidental death by mysterious forces.

AsI mentioned in previous posts, Saddr lacked the one classic ingredient for a takeover in that part of the world: he didn't have the army on his side. Allawi is old school. Best is that the awful USA ain't gunna be blamed for it except by our gutless left. The only way Alawi retains power and respect is to let everyone
know what he will do if crossed.

Allawi is doing the classic takeover. First, he has the Army, this time it's the U.S. Army which insulates him from any challenge. Then he will have his private
militia, the Iraqi police and army to enforce what he does. He will isolate and kill all opposition. He will take over.

What happens after that? Tradition says he becomes the strongman. He may institute democratic reforms, sort of. This is exactly what Mr. Ledeen and Mr. Pipes have been telling us for a long time. The guru of all writers on things Muslim and mysterious, Bernard Lewis, states very clearly that force is the only thing that can work in the Middle East.

Now we have it. Is this a step toward democracy?. It's a step to a strong man government first, the only thing Arabs are used to and will respect. And I think it is the best we can hope for. Watch all the media scream. Daniel Pipes caught this back on the 8th of July as he saw Allawi at work. I missed his post but you can catch it here with all the updates. You and I are watching textbook Arab politics.

IT'S GOVERNMENT OF FAMILY CONNECTIONS, NOT MERIT

Telling Allawi in public that he would not be allowed to pardon people who had hurt American soldiers was as stupid a move as could be imagined in the Arab shame/honor system that has been their culture for thousands of years.  Allawi has now lost honor and has been shamed.  We have absolutely stupid people both in D.C. and Iraq.  The way to handle it was privately, behind closed doors, and allow Allawi to make a respectful change in direction.

We have very stupid people at the political end of this war.  Kerry will bring in more of the same.  I honestly think we are screwed, and we have done it to ourselves.  Whatever system we have in place that would guarantee competent people in positions of authority is not working.  Whatever methods we are using assures that only the "right" people rise to the top.

The Arab system of bribing your way to the top, gathering support groups seeking power, resulting in a system where every man you talk to is there because he "played the game correctly" and not because he is the best qualified, has apparently become our way too.

Nobody dealing with Arabs should be ignorant of the either the Power-Challenge dialectic or the shame-honor culture, each of which goes back thousands of years.  By now we are entitled to think that everyone we have knows about these things.  I think we have blown it, and blown it because our system rewards mediocrity over merit, Ivy League connections over merit exams, and political connections over everything.   Every time you check out Google for state department experts on things you will find "famous names" among the top.  These famous "names" are those of 1950s heavy hitters, the 1960s Vietnam era people, and in some cases people whose families have been in government for three or more generations.

This can't be.  The only reason for this "famous families list" is that we have no meritocracy for hiring and promotion in our government agencies.  What we have is a system where nobody will have an opinion.  They must be pro-abortion and can't be pro-life; support all feminist issues and have no thoughts of their own, they must be against assault weapons in the hands of citizens, for free enterprise and labor unions, must not be anti-communist (because there is no communism any more, ho ho), appreciate diversity, be for affirmative action (quotas in the work place), and whatever other popular icon is in favor at the time of appointment or promotion.  Most especially that person must never identify the enemy as the 100 million plus Wahabi Muslim sect; that person is to be labeled a bigot and be barred from employment forever. The PC term is al Qaeda, a real safe name of perhaps 1,000 people located nowhere, but who are the "real" terrorists.

The result is a guy leading intel that Congress can support in a "bi-partisan" manner that will never take competence into consideration, only political views.  A candidate that both Teddy Kennedy and Tom Delay can agree on.

What we have is the current situation.  Stick a fork in us.

Another POV is HERE with a wink and a nod to Allah.

A public service Go Here and read some of what is going on with the American Left as they seem to be mobilizing for post election support fot the Mafia Mullahs in Iran. Forgive bad spelling etc. because I can't edit. The main site of the Student Movement Coordinating Committee is here. The writing is sometimes confusing ("one" instead of "won") but worth reading right now because the Mullahs are killing plenty of people who dare to disagree.

Dam Jews
Those of you who think the Middle East would be peaceful without those dam Jews should note these wars:
Morocco vs Algeria
Libya raided both Egypt and Tunisia; interfered militarily in Sudan,
Jordan; mobilized against Iraq
Iraq vs Syria, Kuwait (2) and Jordan.
Saddam went against Iran
Civil wars in:Jordan, North and South Yemen, and Oman.
Lebanon destroyed by civil wars and Syria
Sudan vs blacks
Ditto Nigerian Muslims vs Everybody else.

What more proof do you need? Dam Jews.

MURDERS OR EXILES FOR POWER AFTER 1945;
Farouk of Egypt
Shah Reza Pahlavi Iran
Shah Muhammad Reza deposed by CIA and killed in 1979
King Feisal II of Irag murdered along with his family and PM in 1958
Imam of Yeman
Sultan of Omam deposed by his son Qabus
King Idris of Libya,
King Abdulla of Jordan killed in 1951
King Feisal of Saudi Arabia murdered in 1975 by a relative
Aassem in Iraq, shot by the brothers Aref one of whom was then deposed and the other killed in a mysterious helicopter crash.
Ibrahim Hamdi of North Yemen murdered in 1977. His brother Abdullah ditto. Their murderer, Ahmed Hussein Ghashmi was blown up by a bomb in a suitcase sent by the president of South Yemen
Husni Zaim and President Shishakli and dozens more in Syria were murdered
Riad as-Solh the PM of of Lebanon; Anwar Sadat in Egypt
Gereral Abboud in Sudan, where his "successor" General Nimeiri was deposed
General Oufkir and Mehdi Ben Barka both Moroccan challengers met strange deaths
Kings Hassan of Morocco and Hussein of Jordan have been shot at too many times to count.
The Taliban in Afghanistan (loaded with fucking Jews: bin Ladenstein and his crew.
India, Kashmir, Pakistan with bombs developed by that Jew, Oppenheimer.

Fucking Jews destroy the peaceful Islam religion

Now we have the "terrorist" Jews in Iraq attempting to oust the new government.

"New" Blogger is so hard to use I can't tell you. Horrible.

HATING BUSH TO DEATH

I once read a Sci Fi short story about a Black guy who suddenly found himself with a mind so sensitive to the people around him that all their thoughts penetrated his brain. He was confused by all the "noise". He got on the subway with a car full of white people and was "hated to death" between stops just because of his color. The Left is attempting to hate President Bush to death because they regard him as their inferior and for no other reason.

I have always felt that the hatred for President Lyndon Johnson, who followed the Ivy League President Kennedy, was generated mainly because he went to San Marcos State Teachers College instead of Yale and spoke with that hick accent, all things that branded him as an inferior in the eyes of the Democrat elites. The Ivies couldn't stand the fact that a guy with what they regarded as a hopelessly inferior education could attain a higher position in than they. Johnson was an insult to every eliteist self image. This image is always built into the Ivy brain. They are the chosen ones and when they ain't chosen they get pissed.

Ron Silver, the character actor and activist Democrat, was on O'Reilley last night and made a statement within a larger commentary that Bush is hated because the Democratic elites regard him as inferior and for no other reason. I think he may be correct. Texas, the Texas accent, the failed (gag vomit) baseball team owner and (horror or all horrors) the polluting oil business, together with the fact that he "didn't serve" (as if they weren't the leaders of every draft dodge in existence), that he may actually practice a religion he believes in, all are things that prove inferiority to the Ivy elites. The enemy of big government programs which Ivy League sophists always see themselves leading; Secretary of Something Very Important, (Nothing makes the hustler whores in D.C. wetter than being close to "Mr Secretary.). Then there are titles like Ambassador to France or Germany, "Special Envoy" to Starving Africa (never America where a bunch of pissed off Black assholes might call you names), or even better "State Department Analyst of Things Really Secret and Dangerous" (terrorism in Norway or communists in Monaco are good).

Bush is the anti-elite even though he has an MBA from Harvard, inherited money, and went to the Hamptons one summer ("Where the asshole swam in the Sound for Chriss sake.") Trust me, there is nothing that pisses an elite Liberal more than an inferior "making it" to a station above them. It's especially galling if to those pretending to be an elite; actors, rock stars, professors in shit colleges, etc. ". Every actor who spends most of his/her life pretending they are somebody else gets to feeling "less than" when somebody "everybody" hates is telling them what to do.

I was in the financial field when Milkin was brought down and all I heard from the "top" was that he was some Jew (asshole, prick, etc.) who went to public high school (Birmingham in the SF Valley) and a public university (Cal Berkeley) and didn't "share" the wealth. Many of us feel that he was guilty of the "crime of success"; that if he had only brought First Boston, JP Morgan, Solomon Brothers, and the rest of the Wall Street elite investment banking thieves in on the new "high yield" bond deal he would never have been touched. Keep in mind that Milkin showed every little guy everywhere that we don't have to give our companies to Wall Street in order to raise capital. Nobody steals like an investment banker steals, not Milkin, not a Hollywood accountant, not John Gotti. Milkin showed all of us that we don't have to go to Merrill Lynch or Goldman Sachs to get capital. There is no greater crime against the state than showing everyone you don't have to go hat in hand to the elites; no greater crime than not being willing to be robbed of hundreds of millions of dollars "by all the right people" in order to get investment capital. And when some Jew prick who didn't go to the "right" places violates the principals of elite fair play he gets whacked. Solomon Brothers has swindled people out of hundreds of millions in the Treasury Bond markets, been exposed, and nothing has happened. Credit Suisse (now Credit Suisse-First Boston) has been involved in some of the worst (fake stock reports one of a hundred links, Frank Quattrone) and until just recently has similarly skimmed across the seas.

Consider all this when evaluating the hate that George Bush seems to ignite just by "being there". When the elites hate you it means you are doing something right. Don't forget that.

Phony Liberals dodge taxes while raising yours. Here's Edwards, Mr. Liberal who wants to raise YOUR taxes:
Senator Edwards talks about the need to provide health care for all, but that didn't stop him from using a clever tax dodge to avoid paying $591,000 into the Medicare system. While making his fortune as a trial lawyer in 1995, he formed what is known as a "subchapter S" corporation, with himself as the sole shareholder.

Instead of taking his $26.9 million in earnings directly in the following four years, he paid himself a salary of $360,000 a year and took the rest as corporate dividends. Since salary is subject to 2.9% Medicare tax but dividends aren't, that meant he shielded more than 90% of his income.
This is just the beginning of "outing" these people and look for more. But Tereeeezzzahhh won't show us hers, just wait for somebody to get her. Story is HERE. Gotcha journalism on the right (never the Left when it's one of theirs) will somehow get her daisy chain charity dodges.

Markets and Economy
STAY OUT OF POLITICS

We are rapidly approaching the time where many investors will start investing or dis-investing according to their opinions of the election results. Don't be one of them. The Market itself will tell you what the smart money is doing, the charts will tell you along with volume. Only get out if your stops are hit and don't fail to invest if your ducks are ALL in a row. NOTHING is worse than these so-called analysts with political opinions. Avoid them like AIDS. Yes, if Kerry is elected the market will go into free fall and the Dow will go to 12,000 if Bush wins; and I could be totally wrong. Please, for your own peace of mind and investment sanity, have no political opinions between 9:30AM and 4PM Monday through Friday. The only source I know about that gives you volume on each stock on a chart so you can compare day to day and week to week is IBD, and volume will be everything as we go through this election cycle.

MOZILLA WARNING If you are using or thinking of using Mozilla to ward off hacker attacks, fugedabudit. Mozilla has been immune only because so few of us were using it. Not anymore, enough people are using it so that it is under hacker attack. Mozilla has a fix for a hole on its site, but note that Mozilla didn't let anyone know about either the hole or the patch. This is not a company, you can't sue them, and you use all their "open source" devices at your own risk. Yes, I know it beats MSIE by a mile, but there is a downside. Watch your asses

If you want to know why the editor of Forbes was killed, I published the essay below on July 9, 2003, one year and two days ago. Roger L Simon and others will never credit me, so I'll credit myself, my hard work researching it, and the internet. It is linked on the left under the title Iran, if you've seen the Godfather you'll Understand. I published it in response to what I still think is blog crap about students overthrowing the Iran Government.

IRAN, IF YOU READ THE BLOGS, YOU ARE DEAD WRONG

Posted 7:05 PM by Howard
Iran is "The Godfather, Part IV"

Here's the deal. Think Soviet Union in the last days dissolving to Yeltsen. Think crony capitalism, think criminals in charge of every business, police, a force of Hells Angels type motorcycle thugs called the Hezbollah militia working for them, the Revolutionary Guards who also work for them, and a secret police. The real power is a handful of clerics and their associates who call the shots behind the curtain and have gotten very rich in the process. Think mullahs getting rich running businesses given to them by Rafsanjani, who run things through murder and intimidation.

After the 1979 revolution the mullahs seized virtually everything of value--banks, hotels, car and chemical companies, makers of drugs and consumer goods. What distinguishes Iran is that many of these assets were given to Islamic charitable foundations, controlled by the clerics. According to businessmen and former foundation executives, the charities now serve as slush funds for the mullahs and their supporters.

What exists there now is a dictatorship run by a shadow government that--the U.S. State Department suspects--finances terrorist groups abroad through a shadow foreign policy. Its economy is dominated by shadow business empires and its power is protected by a shadow army of enforcers.

Ostensibly, the country has been run by Rafsanjani for the past 24 years. He's an opportunist and very smart. He has "privatized" the economy by divvying up the spoils to loyalists, and like a Mafia Godfather, he takes pieces of everything. He has gotten very rich in the process.

It is the youth that is taking to the streets. Here is the raw data, an estimate from U.S. Census Bureau; U.S. Department of Labor.

Population IRAN 67 million; USA 283 million

Percent under 25: IRAN 65% USA 35%

GDP per capita: IRAN $1,800 USA $37,000

Inflation: IRAN 25% USA 2%

Unemployment: IRAN: 18% USA 6%

Now Iran is pretty rich, only nobody but family is getting the money. The country's largest copper mine; the state-owned TV network; a governor of Kerman province; an outfit that dominates Iran's $400 million pistachio export business; key positions in the Ministry of Oil; the Tehran Metro construction project (an estimated $700 million spent so far) are all Rafsinjani family members. Today, operating through various foundations (more later) and front companies the family is also believed to control one of Iran's biggest oil engineering companies, a plant assembling Daewoo automobiles, and Iran's best private airline. Remember, all these better paid workers will be loyal to the government., the ones getting paid crap are ripe.

So guess why people are pissed? They earn $1,800 per year and the Rafsanjani family and their mullah buddies are multi millionaires and billionaires with wealth in real property all over the world. Anybody who reports this in the press is killed.

The balance of the economy is controlled by the Islamic foundations, which now sack the country and pocket the money too. They are just organized crime. If you get successful you are supposed to donate 20% of what you make to charity. The mullahs stop by and extort the money. Failure to "donate" will result in somebody saying you're a bad Muslim and you are tossed in jail. Don't think these "foundations" or "charities" are small time. One, The Mostazafan Foundation, employs up to 400,000 workers and has assets that in all probability exceed $10 billion. Among its holdings: the former Hyatt and Hilton hotels in Tehran; the highly successful Zam-Zam soft drink company (once Pepsi); an international shipping line; companies producing oil products and cement; swaths of farmland and urban real estate.

Keep in mind that all these "employees" of all these criminal enterprises will be loyal to the government. Think the Baath loyalists in Iraq. These "foundations" hire the thugs too.

So what you have is a mullahocracy of thugs with billions in business deals, and more billions in cash. They stand ready to spend what is necessary to stay in power. When push comes to shove they have always murdered to stay around.

The blog community would have you believe that a bunch of directionless kids marching in the streets without guns can throw these guys out. Like the people in power care about what anybody thinks. The EU thugs? Africa which they bribe? China? They only fear the United States and until we really rattle the cage nothing will change.

Running stupid ads or doing websites is a fucking joke. More feel good crap. The USA is going to have to figure a way to topple these billionaires and I think and hope we are working on it. Keep in mind we cut off Alqeada money and funding. We can do some real financial damage to these guys.

A bunch of kids won't cut it.

Mother, baby attacked on Paris train after mistaken for Jews and tell me this isn't terrorism. Not in "gay" Paree, the attack took place while hundreds twenty or so people just stood around and watched. What else do you expect from French(men???) Oh, that's right, I forgot; everybody on the train thought that the woman and baby were fucking Jews and had it coming. I should have known it wasn't French cowardice....

There is no way to extrapolate "money quotes" from this latest weblog by Daniel Pipes. Cynthia McKinney will be elected by Blacks and she has as doners almost all Muslim money, most of it from outright terrorist organizations. She is also a vicious anti-Semite, a quality shared by far too many Blacks. There is a ton more there, but from the time she gets to Congress no secret info will be safe from terrorists. Read his post today, it is dynamite.

THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE TOTALLY PISSED OFF, ABOUT THE BOOING, ACCUSATIONS OF MURDERER, BABY KILLER, AND WORSE THAT WERE HURLED AT A SOLDIER NAMED JASON GILSON IN A SEATTLE PARADE CAN EMAIL YOUR SUPPORT FOR JASON CARE OF HIS MOM AT THIS ADDRESS: frodo5@comcast.net HER NAME IS TAMAR GILSON.Part of what went down during the 4th of July Parade in Liberal Bainbridge, a suburb of Seattle:
The bucolic island's deep reputation for civility got a gut check this week during the annual Grand Old Fourth of July celebration.

That's when Jason Gilson, a 23-year-old military veteran who served in Iraq, marched in the local event. He wore his medals with pride and carried a sign that said "Veterans for Bush."

Walking the parade route with his mom, younger siblings and politically conservative friends, Jason heard words from the crowd that felt like a thousand daggers to the heart.

"Baby killer!"

"Murderer!"

"Boooo!"
Take a second and send an email to frodo5@comcast.net

I don't read Sondrak every day so I missed this interesting link to IBEW (union) contributions to Bush or Kerry. Read it all. While local after local contributes 100% to Kerry, there are more than a few where the splits are 25% for Bush, 50% for Bush, and amaze amaze 100% for Bush. As a long time former member of the Teamsters I can tell you that all 100% contributions are done without the formality of a vote. It's just shut your fucking mouth the money is going to Kerry You got anything to say, I'll meet you outside.

NEW CIA DIRECTOR WANTED, MUST BE PRO ABORTION-----

against gun ownership, for the UN, Like France and Germany, be for gay marriage, back affirmative action within the CIA, be sure nobody is too Christian, and not spy on folks too much. The only good news for Bush is written by conservative lackey Mark Steyn in the Chicago Sun Times. After that it is all down hill for the CIA, a situation that has clear inferences that Bush kept on Tenet against all logic for an incoming president.

Overall: Mark Steyn in the Chicago Sun Times really lets it all hang out on the Niger/Yellowcake supposed lies by Bush. Of course it's up to writers to tell the truth, not those morons in the Bush "communications" staff or Bush himself. Iraq WAS trying to buy uranium, it is the Dems who are lying, and he blasts the CIA too.
''Operations that include diarrhea as a way of life don't happen.'' That's Niger in a nutshell: Diarrhea Central. Who'd want to be stationed there when they could be back at Langley monitoring the world's e-mail in an air-conditioned office?
He refers to Wilson as "Mint Tea Boy" and
he didn't find a big package of uranium bearing the address label ''S. Hussein, Suite 27, the Saddam Hussein Centre for Armageddon Studies, Saddam Hussein Parkway, Baghdad.'' Ambassador Wilson said relax, he'd been to Niger, spent "eight days drinking sweet mint tea and meeting with dozens of people,'' and there's nothing going on.
But Newsweek has a blast, and it ain't good, about the total CIA failure
Taken together, the facts in the report show that virtually every major claim President George W. Bush used to justify the invasion of Iraq—from Saddam's growing nuclear program to his close ties with Al Qaeda—was either wrong or exaggerated. The CIA was so convinced that Saddam was seeking to rebuild nuclear weapons that it "lost objectivity," the report concludes. The —problem was compounded by the fact that the CIA did not have a single human spy inside Iraq after 1998 to report on what was really going on in Saddam's weapons program. Why not? The agency apparently didn't want to take the risk. "It's very hard to sustain... it takes a rare officer who can go in... and survive scrutiny for a long time," the agency told the panel, which cited the responses as evidence of the "risk averse" corporate culture of the CIA. "Leading up to September 11, our government didn't connect the dots," said Sen. John D. Rockefeller IV, the ranking Democrat on the committee. "In Iraq we are even more culpable, because the dots themselves never existed."
The Washington Post does a more detailed job
The teams led by Hans Blix, director of the U.N. effort to find chemical, biological and missile programs, were stunned by how little the CIA seemed to know about suspected sites, according to a Senate source familiar with the investigation. Senate investigators interviewed Blix and the head of intelligence analysis for the U.N. inspection teams whose headquarters were in New York.

Among the details that have not surfaced in the report but were shared with Senate investigators, was that requests by the U.N. teams to interview Iraqi defectors who were providing public accounts of Iraq's weapons programs were flatly denied, according to foreign diplomats associated with the investigation. Also, nuclear inspectors were not given information on any new sites at all -- mostly because the aluminum tubes made up the extent of the CIA's nuclear case.
All in all, we don't have a CIA worth a pitcher of warm spit. We went to war on almost completely worthless intel, intel that many in the CIA suspected was false. Read up because it ain't pretty and our stated reasons for going to war were nearly all false. The New York Times is running the full text of the report, if you have time to read it. For more on spying go here and link within to Herb Meyer at NRO. All of us should remember that it takes ten years to penetrate Middle East cultures and there are no short cuts, especially for Ivy League spies who don't want to eat bad food. Very Late Add Tim Russert of Meet the Press asked the most direct question of the two senators speaking for the committee regarding the CIA info: "Was there any reason to go to war against Iraq?" Both senators said that only reason was to remove a horrible dictatorship but that reason alone wasn't worth the life of a single American kid. I don't know how this will play out because of the hate tactics of the Left which rub too many voters the wrong way; Whoopie's drunken obscenity laden speech in NYC the other night is typical, and if you think this shit plays in the red states you are smoking too much meth.

Humor: News from unusual suspects

LAKERS CONSIDERING MONSTER KOBE BRYANT TRADE

Colorado Bureau of Prisons is preparing a proposal that will give the Lakers the proverbial "choke hold" on the NBA title next year. In exchange for Bryant, who may sign a twenty year to life contract with the state of Colorado, the Bureau of Prisons will send the Lakers four vicious criminals who will have no problems "guarding any of those NBA faggots" according to Vernon "Wild Beast" Davidson the 5' 7" 230 pound mass murderer (still outraged at the phony charge because he only killed three women) who is getting his ten life term sentences reduced to time served for good behavior; the ACLU broke new legal ground obtaining his release because his continued incarceration posed a threat to other inmates. NBA president Stern has said that several inmates at other institutions will be in next year's NBA draft, including point guard Ted Bundy who is rumored to have a "killer slam dunk".

"We think every citizen has the right to earn a living," said Stern. "Just because a young person uses bad judgement and terminates the bodily functions of a few people who have pissed him off doesn't mean we should just throw his life away."

Stern was referring to Billy "Jive Ass MF" Mambombo the 7 foot 8 inch 420 pound high school phenom who was convicted of breaking the necks of "some dogs", as Mambombo says. The "dogs" in question were members of the Peach Avenue Pit Bulls, an Atlanta gang that raised the consciousness of Atlantans about canine abuse by dipping dogs in gasoline and then setting them on fire and allowing them to run in residential neighborhoods. When shocked residents would run to the street to care for the burning dogs gang members would rob their homes. Mambombo was a member of the Arliss Avenue Psychopaths who spent most of their time dealing drugs and raping women but would occasionally engage in population control when things didn't go right.

"Mamombo is the kind of guy who will jam up the middle on a permanent basis," observed Stern. "He is the anti-Shaq. If he can stay out of foul trouble a lot of high scorers will have to develop new shots like the jumper from behind the half court line and to shoot free throws with a concussion." Shoe manufacturers are already excited. Developing............

$92K DOWNSTROKE TO BUY A MEDIAN PRICED HOME---IS THIS A GREAT COUNTRY OR WHAT?

Not one young person in a thousand can buy a home in California. Maybe it's one in 5,000. California's Housing Affordability Index falls eight points in May to lowest level since 1989. Only 11 % of people in metro SoCal can afford a median price home. Goes to 35% in the oven temps of Riverside and 55% in such garden spots as Bakersfield. The American dream fades for many, which was the Edwards campaign. Info from CA assn of Realtors.

LOS ANGELES (July 8) – The percentage of households in California able to afford a median-priced home stood at 19 percent in May, an 8 percentage-point decrease compared to the same period a year ago when the Index was at 27 percent, according to a report released today by the California Association of REALTORS® (C.A.R.). The May Housing Affordability Index (HAI) declined one point compared to April, when it stood at 20 points.

C.A.R.’s monthly housing affordability index measures the percentage of households that can afford to purchase a median-priced home in California. C.A.R. also reports housing affordability indexes for regions and select counties within the state. The index is the most fundamental measure of housing well-being in the state.

The minimum household income needed to purchase a median-priced home at $465,160 in California in May was $108,450, based on a typical 30-year, fixed-rate mortgage at 5.77 percent and assuming a 20 percent downpayment. The minimum household income needed to purchase a median-priced home was up from $84,600 in May 2003, when the median price of a home was $367,630 and the prevailing interest rate was 5.62 percent

The minimum household income needed to purchase a median-priced home at $183,600 in the U.S. in May 2004 was $42,810.

At 46 percent, the High Desert region was the most affordable C.A.R. region in the state, followed by the Sacramento region at 29 percent. The Santa Barbara region was the least affordable region in the state at 7 percent.

C.A.R.'s June 2004 sales and median price report for the state and regions within the state will be released on July 26.

Over the past year many have emailed me asking if I had read Lileks about this or that. The answer is that he is my idea of the flabby meandering producer of pure flautulential prose that I never want to be. Boring, confusing, pretentious; today's so-called essay is a case in point. How many? two thousand words where fifty would do? God, what a bore. Hey, 9-11 is a clever propaganda movie for the chior. All propaganda is an easy target. Going after a stationary target with a machine gun doesn't make my day. Period. Next case. I like brevity. Here are my two chapters.

CHAPTER I

"I fucked her for the eighth time and we both wanted more before we had to drag her husband's body out and bury it..."

CHAPTER II

"I shot the bastard six times and he still kept coming. I never saw anybody ejaculate like that in my life....."

THAT'S writing, Lileks.

Need a lift? Dumb Ass Daily is the place to go Teen sex, teacher teen sex, naked girl soccer players, cops attacked with blow guns, teacher giving a hummer to a kid in her car....Hey, Better than endless Kerry Edwards stories.

Read this Terpsboy take on education if you haven't already. The article referred to is a May 28th piece that is HERE and may require registration.

The old fart freeloader class is losing confidence in the economy. Why? The entitlement to everything under the sun AARP whiners want more and more benefits. This is the "boomer" class getting ready to sack the rest of the country. Link HERE but have your barf bag ready.
McCarty speculates the decline may be the result of less confidence among the elderly about the changes in Medicare coverage of prescription drugs, as well as increasing concerns about their ability to live off Social Security.
Prolonging the lives of these old farts will cost trillions, not billions. And ALL of them vote and they young will pay. Or will they? There may be a youth revolt against the insane payroll taxes to pay the way. One day somebody is going to stand up on this and young voters will turn to him. Wait and see.

Investment Alert NAZIS SET TO INVADE POLAND

I think a certain widely read college prof and blogger just isn't too bright; another one who thinks Arbitrage is the Prime Minister of France. A week after touting the economic illiterate, Virginia Postrel, for "discovering productivity increases", something that has been on every financial page for twenty years, the dope now touts another person who has "discovered" the data that's published every week in all the financial papers in the world, even Pravda. I think he has outlived his usefulness. I posted on Postrel HERE I believe there is no worse "service" done to people than tout financial morons. Again, have a system, pay no attention to the news (which is always in the market before it was ever printed), and pay no attention to financial slugs like Reynolds; you could lose a lot of money you can't afford to lose. The only thing worse than current news is old news. Really old news is, well just really old.

Some things that TOTALLY PISS ME OFF:
After a personal letter from commissioner Bud Selig, plus talks between the players' union and baseball management as the Fourth of July approached, Foulke reluctantly packed away his Boston cap that featured a patch of the American flag.
LINK HERE (hit tip to the impossible to download Blackfive)

Then there is this one on media bias from IBD. Warning, do not try to email it because IBD runs all kinds of codes on their pages that will jam Outlook Express. What is interesting about this piece is that it follows a major positive piece commenting on the growth in the paper. It looks like the LATimes might be even worse than the.....naw, that can't be right.

Iranian army opens fire on Iraqi troops a full accounting is HERE. Nobody else seems to want to report this. A break down of the non PC race and national origin of detained terrorists are:
It is also announced today that a group of Arab terrorists has been arrested trying to prepare for terrorist attacks against Iraqi civilians and buildings and or coalition forces. The first list of these thugs contains 29 Arab terrorists. They are 6 Saudis, 6 Jordanians, 4 Syrian, 2 Yemenis 1 Palestinian, 1 Lebanese, 1 Turkish, 1 Iranian and 1 Morocco with Israeli passport. The last was arrested with Mahmed Barzan Al Tikriti the son of the half brother of Saddam.
Hammorabi has even more details complete with sex. Iraq Now has some great stuff with even greater links. But this bit here is another example of the inexcusably horrible White House communication skills. God, what a bunch of slugs.
Twenty experts from DOE's national laboratory complex packaged 1.77 metric tons of low-enriched uranium and roughly 1000 highly radioactive sources from the former Iraq nuclear research facility. The DOD airlifted the material to the United States on June 23 and provided security, coordination, planning, ground transportation, and funding for the mission.
Nice going George. Again. Still.

Hate to say this but Bush deserves to lose in November. His main problem is his refusal to communicate news when it happens. He is pathetic. Just pathetic.

Coulter attacks, but after the poison she has some devastating facts re; Edwards' tactics in court. Pretty bad stuff. See what you think.

Center for Responsive Politics lays out the extent of Edwards fund raising from three special interest groups: the Lawyers,($11.6 mil some of it employee blackmail) Investment field (Goldman Sachs alone "gave"
$136K), Entertainment (905,000 from just one studio). Click away because there is no special interest candidate like Edwards. Think they won't be at the "window" with their hands out?

More inflation bullshit from the main media as prices drop. Check the commodity prices of beans, oil, meal, corn, wheat and meats. Again, stay away from the news. Inflation is now cooling and cooling pretty fast. Look only at numbers. The CRB Index which measures commodity prices including oil is down a full ten percent from their April highs and has formed a perfect "W" double top formation. Make no mistake, the index is still high, but it is way off the highs.

The ultimate oil bullshit is here Looney bin scientists (with government money, you can bet your ass) have actually turned bull shit (and cow shit, no sexism in this) into oil. Spare us all. Careful with your investment dollars on this one. Can't wait for bullshit futures contracts can you? Oh, I forgot, we already have them.

ONE BOO FOR IRAQI VIGILANTES

You can bet these guys ain't democrats. Nor are they just local families protecting the neighborhood from criminals. They are not Hamilton, Jefferson, and Franklyn articulating a bright new day. Justice has little or nothing to do with this activity. What they really want is power in the usual power/challenge dialectic in that area. These are the usual thugs under a different guise, a way to get "the army" on their side; the "army" in this case is the U.S. Army. History of the area also tells us that these guys are as interested in settling old personal and tribal scores as anything else.

"Mistakes" of killing innocents will be traced back to historical revenge dating back a thousand or so years. I don't for a minute believe that these vigilante groups indicate anything other than a failure of law enforcement and security. This is not a good sign. THEY will be the new tyranny if not stopped.

An added observation: "the army" could well be Iran or Syria. There is no mistake that both are sending in people and money to Saddr. If anybody is backed to the hilt by Iran it will be real trouble, as if it isn't already.

File this one under, if you really don't like her you kick her out of bed and tell her not to come back. Meaning if you don't like what is being said right next to you, you call the guy on it. A clearly biased version of this one from the not always reliable American Spectator (which describes it differently) but also appearing in the usually Left but usually accurateSF Chronicle:
Leno (not Jay, CA Assemblyman) opened with the words, "Which candidate . . ." Then followed it with: "Knows what it means to have served one's country with honor and distinction? "Understands the distinction between church and state? "Can pronounce Abu Ghraib?

And then, at question No. 9, this: "Will not only summarily fire but will bring criminal charges against Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld and John Ashcroft?''

There were a few gasps from the crowd, then most answered, "John Kerry'' and burst into applause.

Though not everyone was happy. "It was inappropriate,'' said San Francisco attorney and Democratic fund- raiser Jeremiah Hallisey. "And you can quote me on that. "And I don't think Kerry was too happy either,'' Hallisey added. "You could tell by his reaction from the stage.''

"If I offended anyone, I do apologize,'' Leno said later. "It was clearly a personal position, and the whole thing was a bit in jest anyway.'' And if Kerry was offended, Leno says, he didn't say anything later when the two talked.
You can't have it both ways John, you either will or you won't bring them up on charges. I'd just add that when conservative organs like the Spectator slant the stories they should be called on it, and they clearly mis-represented an already damming story about Kerry.

EDWARDS MEANS THAT BUSH WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE

The series of horrible appointments to various posts will be hit by Edwards leaving Bush with no defense. He cannot defend SEC, Transportation, FBI, CIA, and possibly Rumsfeld. Still another horrible botch is the "new" FBI chief as spelled out by the mostly Right Daniel Pipes today. Bush will be made to pay the price of indecision, policy weakness, and just plain lack of will. The FBI was, and according to Pipes still is, without a clue as they once again give an award to terrorists. Even I can roast Bush day after day over these miserable appointments.

While Kerry is the pussy choice, Edwards can blast away and Bush can't deal with the facts of his incompetent appointments. Put this together with the worst White House communications staff since Millard Fillmore (he used a flag guy on the front lawn who sent messages by semaphore code) and you have President Kerry.

I think this is the end of the Conservative trend. Edwards has preached the "two Americas" theme very well during the primaries. I pointed out in other posts that the glaring weakness of "Conservatism" is its failure to spread opportunity spread accross the board. This means on a local level. To quote my prior post:
You have to have something besides "get the government off my back" and "reacting" to every liberal or they have nothing. The real problem with conservatism is failure to show that their real purpose is to create more opportunity for everyone and that these opportunities will raise incomes for everyone. I think we have a situation now where 2% at the top earn fifty times what the 20% at the lower end can earn. Eventually this won't compute, and since the poor all have guns and will use them if the right guy comes along, we should all wake up. Now.

I had the "chance" to drive down Vermont Avenue in LA the other day past the down at the heels pathetic looking whores, the horridly painted motels and filthy looking housing and I asked myself the question: "Would I fight for this way of life?" The answer was "No fucking way." What we on the so-called "right" have to figure out is how to make freedom of opportunity available to everyone. Ask yourself this: What do you think it takes to open up a hot dog wagon in your city? Just a little wagon with hot water for the dogs and a place for buns. I'll tell you. Bribes, insane environmental requirements, more money than you may be able to make back, and layer after layer of regulations. Here in LA the poorest people get around that stuff by selling barbequed illegal food from their back yards, food that may be contaminated, but it tastes good and it's cheap. The cops are told to close them down. Instead they drive by and talk to people hoping they won't have to come back and cite them, knowing they have no money and won't show up in court. That means a warrant will be issued for their arrest and they will go to jail for selling food out of their backyards. If conservatives can't act on the local level to improve people's lives, conservatism is nothing.

Right now it's nothing.
I think Amerca will turn Left. Hard Left and Edwards will be the most articulate candidate on the stump. No one else is even close.

BTW Blogger is down again. I have been trying to post this piece for more than two hours. No mas. It has been mostly down since Friday. Consider this when contemplating the purchase of Google stock.

SADDR AGAIN -HONOR/SHAME PLUS POWER CHALLENGE

He makes his play once again without the matrix of allArab state takeovers; he doesn't have the army. He can't just seize power. Now he has to be eliminated or he wins by default. His army must be slaughtered. This is a direct attack on the new government. It is up to the new government to fight or FOAD. It's that simple. The chain of honor and shame plays out. Saddr feels shamed. He must regain his honor and he does this no matter if he wins or loses.

There is a factor that is always in play with every Middle East political milk shake, a factor that Pryce-Jones has called the Power/Challenge dialectic. The power-challenge is always wrapped up in the Shame vs Honor cesspool. In the history of the Middle East Sadr can only be taken care of by assassination/murder, defeat and exile, or defeat and prison. The same is true for his family. They have to be dealt with permanently. (Note that Saddam's daughters are funding terrorists loyal to Saddam)

This is "normal" in the Middle East. That is why people like Nassar in Egypt kept concentration camps and prisons, murdered challengers, and died a natural death. Saddam was more vicious and if it were not for America and Britain he would also have died a natural death. By the "rules" of both the power challenge dialectic and the honor shame dialectic the only way Saddr loses is if he remains alive and a loser. Shame is the worst dynamic in this mix. The new Iraq government has to let him win by killing him. Allow him to keep his honor while the government also establishes their honor. That is it.

I think I was like that through the third grade, or maybe it was college, or maybe during my first divorce (you can all get that one). We all were, it's not so difficult to understand. What is difficult for Americans and Europeans to actually do, even when we understand, is that killing is the only way to handle this. The Brits could never bring themselves to just kill people for no other reason than to keep order. Neither can we. The reason Iraqis aren't upset by Abu Grahib is that they consider it normal for the victor to stomp on the losers. How else do you stay in power? Losing to somebody vicious actually preserves honor (how can I resist, I did the best I could). Once you know your leader is vicious it allows you to do the only thing you can do; just go with the flow with your precious honor intact. Keep in mind that while this has been going on for thousands of years, the Nazis made it seem even better. Never forget that the entire Middle East was within a moth's eybrow of joining with the Nazis during WWII. Only when the Brits got vicious and seized Iraq, throwing out the King/leader/dictator was the threat removed.

And how does government function under these circumstances? Bakshish. You buy your way everywhere, and a really good way to retain your honor.

Sadr is normal. Being nice is being weak. There is no room for nice within this convoluted "system". That's the way it is.

WHY COSBY MATTERS

Bill Cosby is speaking to everybody. Is anybody listening? Cosby is not just telling the truth to Blacks in America. He is uttering universal truths to all of us everywhere. They apply to every society on the face of the earth. Building a country or a society begins at the lowest level of a civilization's organization. The family. America, particularly Black America, must rebuild the family before we can hope to rebuild a culture. Cosby knows nothing can change until the family is changed.

We are trying to build Iraq, or more precisely cause Iraqis to build, a democratic Iraq. We are trying to build it from the top down as if neither tribe in a tribal culture nor family matter. We need to realize that the Arab family structure has to change before the civilization can be changed. In Iraq the family means women stay in the home; they cook, provide sons, provide sex, clean the house, and when women go out (to meet with other women only inside a house or buy food) they have to be covered. The men rule the family. They dispense money, punishments, and rewards. The only thing that counts is his honor, both inside and outside the family. He is the tribal leader within his family. He must be obeyed. His daughters will marry whom they are told to marry. Or else. She can't go to school. The sons go to school. The feminist Left would have us all believe that Muslim women are miserable; that they are powerless. As usual, the Left is wrong.

The hidden side of the Arab family, hidden only to the West, is that Muslim women wield enormous influence and power. They control sex. They control the behavior of the children. They control how others coming into "her" home perceive the wealth and honor of the home. Every Muslim woman knows the weakness of Muslim men is honor. The men can be shamed into doing anything. Muslim women can cause a man she doesn't like to be killed simply by telling her husband that she was touched or looked upon. Every man past thirty has sexual failures. In an Arab home this is shame to the maximum. Once an Arab male has had a sexual failure the woman rules the roost. A family "dialectic" that has been this way for thousands of years. Every study of the Arab family reveals that the only real traffic psychiatrists have are males with sexual "problems" at home. The shame can be unbearable.

Consider the American Black Family Cosby is addressing. Most likely there is no father in the house. Most likely the woman is running everything on her own. Nobody is there to tell her what to do. She grew up with no man having any permenent influence on her. We have all experienced Black women interacting with us in what appears to be a "stonewall" fashion; sometimes or they can behave in an almost bizarre manner. They show nothing and pretend to show everything. Sometimes they get hysterical. She gets her way with men in a purely sexual fashion, not a bargaining fashion. The culture teaches her that her value is vaginal. Period. Probably the father, or fathers, of her children are either in jail or about to go. Men are not to be trusted. Men are flakes. It is more than likely the men in their lives never come around, almost never see their own children. Once her sons get to be ten or eleven she has "lost them". They do whatever they want. The streets and the culture tell them that women are shit. Just pussy. Just bitches and ho's. The streets tell him that the real money is in hustling drugs or robbing a mark. Unless he can play sports or music. The children are going to repeat in their own futures what they learn. The boys will most likely do what their fathers did; fuck and flee. Luckily this has only been going on for fifty or sixty years, not four thousand. Maybe Cosby and the rest of the Black Middle Class can change things by continually speaking out and reforming the family; demanding that kids go to school and succeed. It's going to be very tough to break habits that are only sixty years old.

How do we change habits in Iraq that are four thousand years old? If the families in Iraq don't change there is no way to change their governments and institutions. Government is simply a family transferred to the political arena. Everyone is assuming that the Muslim women want freedom, that they want out of the house. Wrong. They do not want what we call freedom. They like being Muslim Women. Within the Muslim religion following rules makes you free. They want to wear the hadj head covering. They want to follow the rules. They do not want emasculated men. Neither Muslim men nor Muslim women want what they see as a degenerate Western culture. They want a strong man running things, setting rules to follow, being masculine.

Cosby is talking about more than he knows. He is talking about civilizations.

A SPECIAL FOR THOSE WHO THINK ARBITRAGE IS PRIME MINISTER OF FRANCE

Now Roger L Simon, another out of work writer and financial illiterate is claiming the Financial Times of London as the best paper in the (what? Hollywood Writer set???). He thinks you should follow the advice of another so-called writer (Cathy Johnson???) and read the rag. (Johnson is a writer of "nature", art stuff, and Sierra Club; now she is recommending financial papers) FYI The Financial Times of London is one of the absolute worst. They tout more scams, more outright frauds than any so-called paper I know, and it's my business to know. They may have what passes as clever writing but anyone who uses their "opinions" is going to lose everything they have, eventually. Clever writing in the financial field is like the Armani suited financial criminals who sell scams and tax shelters hoping to dazzle you enough with their exteriors so that you won't investigate their substance. The Wall Street Journal and Investors Business Daily are the ONLY investor's papers, and the WSJ has to be read very carefully. You always have to ask yourself, "why is this company or guy allowing this piece to be printed?" The FTL prints some articles that are OK, but stay away from any financial tips. The FTL is infamous for touting Brit metals scams, cocoa rumors of crop failures claiming Brit colonies on the Ivory Coast have informed them.... (commodity brokers will tout their tips to fuck you good), and their sugar and coffee items are outright false. Don't take any of these rags too seriously. Use market generated information only; trust me, if there is "trouble" in cocoa land all the insiders have already jumped into the market. Simon touting financial papers? He must be out of work. The web is loaded with losers who think arbitrage is prime minister of France and that spyders are the latest Hollywood movie. None of them have series 7 or series 3 licenses or they'd be charged by the CFTC, NFA, NASD, or the SEC. You can check all my back commentary on markets and you can see I have been right since publishing; the only incorrect call I made was I thought the stock rally would top around 9500 instead of 10,000+. My latest call: crude below $31 will happen too. Why? Because I know my shit. BTW an example of the Financial Times "good writing and piss poor info" is contained in the highly touted piece on crude oil which is filled with crap. Worst crap? Left out of their much touted piece on oil is what appears to be an attempt to fix gasoline prices by restraining supply in California. The Shell refinery in Bakersfield which earns roughly $11 million per quarter IN PROFITS is SHUTTING DOWN. They refuse to sell the refinery to competition. Why? Well it takes 2% of the total supply of gasoline off the market and keeps the insane margins of $10 per barrel alive in the rest of the refineries. I repeat, that paper is shit. Emailer Mark C suggested reading this site also, which has more data. There is going to be a lot of new drilling in the Taft/Bakersfield area. My point in this essay is not to evaluate the crude oil biz, but to attack economic bowling score IQs who recommend The Financial Times of London.

THE WRITTEN MANUAL ON HOW TO BE A TERRORIST

Segei Nechayev is a guy you have never heard of. He heard of people like us. This is the manual on how to destroy us. Do we have the fiber to fight this fight?

France invented modern terrorism. It was in France that a man named Robespierre managed the beheading of hundreds before huge crowds of cheering Parisians in 1793 and 1794. The process was actually called "The Terror" and Robespierre articulated its purpose.
If the spring of popular government in time of peace is virtue, the springs of popular government in revolution are at once virtue and terror. Virtue, without which terror is fatal. Terror, without which virtue is powerless. Terror is nothing other than justice, prompt, severe, inflexible; it is therefore an emanation of virtue.
Robspierre was then arrested and rather than face his own beheading, shot himself and bled to death in prison.

People not only read Robspierre they learned from him. The anarchists at the turn of the century used him world wide, an anarchist killed our President McKinley.

The Anarchist Movement at the turn of the century created a class called the Professional Revolutionary. That is who they are and what they do. The American Left are professional revolutionaries. They are interested in nothing else but bringing down our government. They will never "go away", never listen to reason.

Lenin espoused terror and used it. But it was a Russian anarchist/bolchevek, Segei Nechayev who literally wrote the book on terrorism, a book that is the blueprint for all of terrorism through the 20th century. He laid out the grisley rules thusly:

THE ATTITUDE OF THE REVOLUTIONARY TOWARDS HIMSELF
1. The revolutionary is a dedicated man. He has no interests of his own, no affairs, no feelings, no attachments, no belongings, not even a name. Everything in him is absorbed by a single exclusive interest, a single thought, a single passion - the revolution.
2. In the very depths of his being, not only in words but also in deeds, he has broken every tie with the civil order and the entire cultivated world, with all its laws, proprieties, social conventions and its ethical rules. He is an implacable enemy of this world, and if he continues to live in it, that is only to destroy it more effectively.
3. The revolutionary despises all doctrinairism and has rejected the mundane sciences, leaving them to future generations. He knows of only one science, the science of destruction. To this end, and this end alone, he will study mechanics, physics, chemistry, and perhaps medicine. To this end he will study day and night the living science: people, their characters and circumstances and all the features of the present social order at all possible levels. His sole and constant object is the immediate destruction of this vile order.
4. He despises public opinion. He despises and abhors the existing social ethic in all its manifestations and expressions. For him, everything is moral which assists the triumph of revolution. Immoral and criminal is everything which stands in its way.
5. The revolutionary is a dedicated man, merciless towards the state and towards the whole of educated and privileged society in general; and he must expect no mercy from them either. Between him and them there exists, declared or undeclared, an unceasing and irreconcilable war for life and death. He must discipline himself to endure torture.
6. Hard towards himself, he must be hard towards others also. All the tender and effeminate emotions of kinship, friendship, love, gratitude and even honor must be stifled in him by a cold and single-minded passion for the revolutionary cause. There exists for him only one delight, one consolation, one reward and one gratification - the success of the revolution. Night and day he must have but one thought, one aim - merciless destruction. In cold-blooded and tireless pursuit of this aim, he must be prepared both to die himself and to destroy with his own hands everything that stands in the way of its achievement.
7. The nature of the true revolutionary has no place for any romanticism, any sentimentality, rapture or enthusiasm. It has no place either for personal hatred or vengeance. The revolutionary passion, which in him becomes a habitual state of mind, must at every moment be combined with cold calculation. Always and everywhere he must be not what the promptings of his personal inclinations would have him be, but what the general interest of the revolution prescribes.
There you have every Muslim terrorist in the world. Nechayev didn't stop there he laid out another following section

THE ATTITUDE OF THE REVOLUTIONARY TOWARDS HIS COMRADES IN REVOLUTION
8. The revolutionary considers his friend and holds dear only a person who has shown himself in practice to be as much a revolutionary as he himself. The extent of his friendship, devotion and other obligations towards his comrade is determined only by their degree of usefulness in the practical work of total revolutionary destruction.
9. The need for solidarity among revolutionaries is self-evident. In it lies the whole strength of revolutionary work. Revolutionary comrades who possess the same degree of revolutionary understanding and passion should, as far as possible, discuss all important matters together and come to unanimous ecisions. But in implementing a plan decided upon in this manner, each man should as far as possible rely on himself. In performing a series of destructive actions each man must act for himself and have recourse to the advice and help of his comrades only if this is necessary for the success of the plan.
10. Each comrade should have under him several revolutionaries of the second or third category, that is, comrades who are not completely initiated. He should regard them as portions of a common fund of revolutionary capital, placed at his disposal. He should expend his portion of the capital economically, always attempting to derive the utmost possible benefit from it. Himself he should regard as capital consecrated to the triumph of the revolutionary cause; but as capital which he may not dispose of independently without the consent of the entire company of the fully initiated comrades.
11. When a comrade gets into trouble, the revolutionary, in deciding whether he should be rescued or not, must think not in terms of his personal feelings but only of the good of the revolutionary cause. Therefore he must balance, on the one hand, the usefulness of the comrade, and on the other, the amount of revolutionary energy that would necessarily be expended on his deliverance, and must settle for whichever is the weightier consideration.
But the genius of the modern terrorist is his organization. It breaks down into cells and is unchanged for 100 years. Those of you familiar with the movie "The Battle of Algiers" are familiar with the structure as laid out here"
GENERAL PRINCIPLES OF THE ORGANIZATION
1. The structure of the organization is based on individual trust.
2. The organizer (himself a member) selects five or six persons from amongst his acquaintances and, having held a separate discussion with and secured the consent of each, assembles them together and lays the foundation of a closed cell.
3. The mechanism of the organization is concealed from idle eyes, and therefore the whole range of contacts and all the activities of the cell are kept secret from everybody, with the exception of its members and the central cell, to whom the organizer submits a full report on specified dates.
4. Members undertake specialised duties in accordance with a definite plan drawn up on the basis of a knowledge of the locality, social class or milieu in which the preparatory work is to be carried out.
5. A member of the organization immediately forms in his turn a second-degree cell around himself, in relation to which the previously formed cell assumes the role of a central cell, which all the members of the organization (or, in relation to the second-degree cells, the organizers) supply with the sum total of information obtained through their own cells; this is submitted to the next cell upwards.
6. The principle of non-operation by direct methods with regard to all those persons who can be operated upon with equal success indirectly, that is, through other people, must be observed with the utmost scrupulousness.
7. The organization's general principle is not to attempt to convince, that is, not to cultivate but to consolidate those forces which are already in existence, to eliminate all discussions which bear no relation to its aim.
8. Members do not ask the organizer questions whose purpose is unconnected with the basis of subordinate cells.
9. The total frankness of members with the organizer is the basis for the successful progress of the cause.
10. Upon the formation of second-category cells, previously organized cells become centers in relation to them, and are supplied with the society's regulations and a definite program of its activities in the location in which it is situated.

THE ATTITUDE OF THE REVOLUTIONARY TOWARDS SOCIETY
12. The admission of a new member, who has proved himself not by words but by deeds, may be decided upon only by unanimous agreement.
13. The revolutionary enters into the world of the state, of class and of so-called culture, and lives in it only because he has faith in its speedy and total destruction. He is not a revolutionary if he feels pity for anything in this world. If he is able to, he must face the annihilation of a situation, of a relationship or of any person who is part of this world - everything and everyone must be equally odious to him. All the worse for him if he has family, friends and loved ones in this world; he is no revolutionary if he can stay his hand.
14. Aiming at merciless destruction the revolutionary can and sometimes even must live within society while pretending to be quite other than what he is. The revolutionary must penetrate everywhere, among all the lowest and the middle classes, into the houses of commerce, the church, the mansions of the rich, the world of the bureaucracy, the military and of literature, the Third Section [Secret Police] and even the Palaces.
15. All of this foul society must be split up into several categories: the first category comprises those to be condemned immediately to death. The society should compose a list of these condemned persons in order of the relative harm they may do to the successful progress of the revolutionary cause, and thus in order of their removal.
16. In compiling these lists and deciding the order referred to above, the guiding principal must not be the individual acts of villainy committed by the person, nor even by the hatred he provokes among the society or the people. This villainy and hatred, however, may to a certain extent be useful, since they help to incite popular rebellion. The guiding principle must be the measure of service the person's death will necessarily render to the revolutionary cause. Therefore, in the first instance all those must be annihilated who are especially harmful to the revolutionary organization, and whose sudden and violent deaths will also inspire the greatest fear in the government and, by depriving it of its cleverest and most energetic figures, will shatter its strength.
17. The second category must consist of those who are granted temporary respite to live, solely in order that their bestial behaviour shall drive the people to inevitable revolt.
18. To the third category belong a multitude of high-ranking cattle, or personages distinguished neither for any particular intelligence nor for energy, but who, because of their position, enjoy wealth, connections, influence and power. They must be exploited in every possible fashion and way; they must be enmeshed and confused, and, when we have found out as much as we can about their dirty secrets, we must make them our slaves. Their power, connections, influence, riches and energy thus become an inexhaustible treasure-house and an effective aid to our various enterprises.
19. The fourth category consists of politically ambitious persons and liberals of various hues. With them we can conspire according to their own programs, pretending that we are blindly following them, while in fact we are taking control of them, rooting out all their secrets and compromising them to the utmost, so that they are irreversibly implicated and can be employed to create disorder in the state.
20. The fifth category is comprised of doctrinaires, conspirators, revolutionaries, all those who are given to idle peroration, whether before audiences or on paper (Media). They must be continually incited and forced into making violent declarations of practical intent, as a result of which the majority will vanish without trace and real revolutionary gain will accrue from a few.
There are more sections of rules and relationships all designed to seal off one cell from the other and to make sure that nobody knows everybody should somebody be arrested.

Brando....What is Genius???? I'll define it. A genius "discovers" things that have been there since time began, things that everybody else had passed by. Spinoza once said that God was a triangle. Before there was a universe a triangle had three sides; the angles on those three sides totaled 180 degrees, and the square of the hypotenuse of a right triagle was equal to the sum of the squares of the other two sides. It has been that way since before time began and will be there after all is gone. Understand that and it's easy to understand God. Pythagoras "discovered" the properties of a right triangle. Euclid, Beethoven, Johnny Mercer, Richard Rogers just got hit with music and ideas. The things just "came to them." Richard Rogers sat down at the piano back stage in Philadelphia when the show "Oklahoma" was a total failure. The song Oklahoma just came to him when a show saving song was needed. Einstein was riding on a streetcar when relativity just came to him. People who knew Richard Rogers said he "talked with God."

Brando was an actor so inventive that things "just came to him". Can you imagine "Streetcar" without him? "The Godfather"? Think of "Apocalypse Now" with somebody else as Kurtz. Could anyone else have exploded onto the screen like he did in "On the Waterfront"?

It's the little things within each role, a scratch of the nose, a nod of the head, the way he said things that stuck in our gut forever after we experienced him. Fifty years later we remember the agony of failure when he told Rod Steiger, "You don't understand! I could have been a contender. I could have had class and been somebody. Real Class. I could have been a contender, instead of a bum, let's face it, which is what I am." People who worked on that movie said the scene was improvised not written.

These things, the way he said them; the way he looked when he said them; the way he communicated everything with the power to affect people like nobody before him made him a genius in the acting field. Like other geniuses he was alone. He was in a place nobody else had ever seen. He still is.

Accidental link to a year and a half old post a now unused URL. I never saw it before
Quite a few falsehoods are being spread about America 'squandering' French sympathy in the aftermath of 9-11. So let's set the record straight for all the politically correct, terrorist appeasing, revisionists out there. There was no French sympathy, period. The first images I saw of the attacks were on the TV in a Paris café shortly after leaving the office. As images of people jumping from the Towers were shown a French guy at the bar made a back handed wave at the TV screen and said, 'to hell with them'. All the customers' discussions in the café were along the lines of 'its a terrible thing BUT ...' quickly followed by vague justifications why it was not such a terrible thing after all. Kids were running down the street yelling 'the States are fucked'. In the days following the attacks, graffiti praising Osama bin Laden appeared daily on the ATMs throughout the neighborhood. Dope using French judo champ Djamel Bouras, appearing on the first edition of 'Tout le Monde en Parle' following the attacks, stated 'Why do the French newspapers declare that we are all Americans? Why a minute of silence for the dead Americans? What about a minute of silence for the dead Palestinians?' Answer to Bouras: because the Palestinians are bloodthirsty murdering terrorist scum, that's why. Now go use your smack. French celebration of 9-11 continued thereafter. Dubya said it best, 'Never forgive, never forget'.

Hammorabi has a further story about press payoffs going on right now. I'm telling you, the press is being bought every day. I posted HERE
You can bet Iran is bribing reporters just like Saddam did. Iran has much more money and this media bias is no accident. Just understand that bribery is a 4,000 year old tradition over there and once you are hooked you are hooked for life.
The Road Goes on Forever and the Party Never Ends......

NRO FISKS 9/11

The total near total analysis of the lies in 9/11 are HERE. Same link as from Terpsboy. Kopel may have more before it gets to NRO.

Spidey 2 is grossing $7,600 per theatre (Friday down 25% from opening day) and 9/11 $3,000 per. 9-11 will be a low gross feature but a high gross "documentary" which it is decidedly not. Many in the media are now getting "hip" to the lies, inaccuracies, and film editing distortions. Praised by al Jazeera, a surprisingly critical evaluation from Egypt's Al-Ahram
How long can it be before photographic immanence loses its power of authenticity and we stop believing what we see? How long before the significance of the image itself is called into question? How many times can the truth take a beating before the American public just stops believing anything it hears, reads and sees? Not soon enough.
They love it in Bangladesh, the German der Spiegel just adored it. The really discouraging thing about all this is that the Democrats are already distributing CDs of the movie in Arab countries encouraging the killing of our own soldiers. This will be the Hamas movie of the summer, Islamic Jihad's hot new film for Ramadan, and so on. That is the damage this movie will do to Iraqis, Iranians, and everybody in the Middle East trying to get freedom.

YALEIES OUT THE LEFT WING PRESS

The Comintern at Yale University has not prevented some honest studies. Some have presented a study exposing the libral bias of the media in a whole new light. This link is to an HTML version because I hate Acrobat with every fibre of my being. It starts: "The editors in Los Angeles killed the story. They told Witcover that it didn't ‘come off' and that it was an ‘opinion' story. …The solution was simple, they told him. All he had to do was get other people to make the same points and draw the same conclusions and then write the article in their words." Go HERE for PDF. Reynolds has linked too. Their conclusion:
Conclusion: Although we expected to find that most media lean left, we were astounded by the
degree. A norm among journalists is to present “both sides of the issue.” Consequently, while we expected members of Congress to cite primarily think tanks that are on the
same side of the ideological spectrum as they are, we expected journalists to practice a much more balanced citation practice, even if the journalist’s own ideology opposed the think tanks that he or she is sometimes citing. This was not always the case. Most of the
mainstream media outlets that we examined (ie all those besides Drudge Report and Fox News’ Special Report) were closer to the average Democrat in Congress than they were
to the median member of the House. Our results contrast strongly with the prior expectations of many others. It is easy to find quotes from prominent journalists and academics who claim that there is no systematic bias among media outlets in the U.S.
To summarize further, Only USA Today and CBS Evening News are further Left than the New York Times and Los Angeles Times in many categories; Only Tom Daschle and Ted Kennedy are further to the Left than any publication they looked at. Interestingly they allow for Drudge to be further left as an abberration because he links to press sites and they point out that citing Rand is actually citing a Left "think tank" because almost all the conservatives work on the secret and top secret military side and can't be quoted; quoting RAND might seem conservative but it is the opposite. The degree with which the New York Times slants the news is really shocking. By a 9-2 margin they site Liberal "think tanks" over conservative ones in order to "prove" a fake story. The PDF link is worth reading if you have the time.

Freedom note If you haven't linked to the Lee Kaplan piece in Front Page from other sources be sure you read it. Link HERE. and then ask yourself if freedom doesn't work for us in this terror war. The fifth column Kaplan describes uses the internet, pamphlets, and so on to actually ADVERTISE for criminals because they can. They leave themselves open for anyone to infiltrate them. I'm sure you will note the number of college professors involved in this particular terrorist supporting op as well as the fact that government employees are also involved. The key here is that freedom makes terrorist orgs vulnerable, not stronger.

And Sullivan's continuing slide into confusing babble that has only one continuing thread: "I am a homo and I want to be recognized as straight." He does this while linking Bush to to a Phantom Right Wing conspiracy of religion he doesn't like and issues he doesn't like, and he does this while pretending to be a Conservative. Me thinks the Brit needs some serious therapy. He should go back to the Brit Labour Party.

No Parisan, AKA Merde in France, has a must read regarding the French and their attitudes toward us. The nexus of his pretty well documented long post is that the French decided early on after the cold war that they needed an enemy, and we were the only one around. He makes a case and also a case that France has no intention of letting it go.

In case you haven't been hitting Pipes lately
The Department of the Treasury sent a high-ranking official, Deputy Assistant Secretary Juan Zarate, to address the Islamic Society of North America's Fifth Annual Education Event on the matter of terrorists' abuse of charities. Not only did the Treasury thereby endorse an organization itself under investigation by the Senate for ties to terrorism, but the DAS's words were fawning to the point of embarrassment: "I have been fortunate enough to speak and work with ISNA in the past, and value our developing relationship. This weekend, you have welcomed me yet again, and I continue to be grateful for your outreach and hospitality."
Go here for all the horrors of the continuing Bush Administration directionless Policies(?) on terror. I continue to believe that he is THE worst manager the White House has had in at least half a century and perhaps longer.

WHEN WILL PRESIDENT BUSH BE ASSASSINATED?

It can no longer be ignored. The avalanche of hate websites and the hateful signs at demonstrations give a feeling of belonging to a wonderful cause to the loner who commits such an act. Lincoln was killed as part of a larger plot to kill cabinet members by three Confederate whack jobs who felt they were supporting a larger cause. McKinley was assassinated by a lone anarchist who was influenced by the larger cause. Garfield was killed by a pissed off lawyer, and Kennedy was most probably killed by a lone gunman who may have thought he was part of a larger cause.

We know that the loner wants to belong somewhere and the hate sites such as those laid out HERE certainly let potential assassins know that a warm spot awaits the murderer; that a hero's welcome awaits the killer.

I've received about 100 emails over the past three weeks from lots of you who think the talk of violence will result in the death of our president.

It has to be said.

BTW, Harding was probably poisoned by his wife who was pissed off at his constant affairs but it was never proven because she prevented an autopsy.

Another great Bush underling who won't be fired, Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage, has said that the gangster mullahs in Iran (link is to my old post) preside over a democracy while the truth is that Iran is the worst dictatorship on the planet, with China their only competition. Iranians are beginning to act out against the regime but we sit around doing nothing. Meanwhile if we had CIA agents in Iran we could be doing damage, but we don't. Link to Michael Ledeen HERE.Meanwhile they are loading up rebels in Pakistan and Afghanistan with bombs and guns. If I thought Kerry was anything...... Ye reap what you sew and we have sewn the seeds of democracy all over the area knowing what would ensue but seem totally surprised that Iranians are ready to blow, Syria is becoming explosive, the Saudis are under siege, and now Jordan has offered troops to Iraq which is a huge deal. We have had more than a year to sift CIA agents into Iran, read Ledeen's piece and see what is going on. He has very good ears in the area.

Quickie on markets before trading ends early tomorrow. Right now interest rates are actually negative; meaning that inflation at 2% and borrowing at 1-1/4% you are being paid to borrow. It is generally considered that rates need to go to 4% in order to be market neutral and that is why the yield curve is so steep (near term to 5 year plotted on a graph). Also rates HAVE to go up so if the economy takes a body blow the Fed can lower big to have an effect. With the economy blowing off like it is the Fed can begin to hike into the "safe" area.

One note here: Take a look at the box office numbers for movies this year, the issue raised only because this is where we supposedly go to "lose our troubles" in hard times. With the exception of a few the returns are horrible. A few movies in the 250 million plus class and the rest sinking into the red. Big movies like Day After Tomorrow, Troy, THE CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK, the disastrous ROUND THE WORLD, VAN HELSING, and so on. Big surprise has to be total failure of the so-called "Black Films". Keep in mind that most movies cost at least $100 million to make and market, movies have to gross twice that to return a producer the cost of production and marketing, some of these numbers are studio breakers. Owning stock in a movie company is the dumbest thing you can do. Good times do not explain it. I still think movie prices are way too high for the audience. Young people don't have the jack to cough up $40-$50+ for a date no matter what "the times" are. I think this explains in large part the popularity of porn, computer game playing, and family attendance at baseball games where you can still sit in the bleachers for $6 a pop.

THE AMERICAN LEFT WILL SUPPORT SADDAM

UNDERNEATH IT ALL IS THE OIL FOR FOOD SCANDAL WITH THE EUROPEANS
The cards are already being dealt, five card stud with a hole card. French and American lawyers will paint the current government as illegal. The UN has already called for a restoration of government in Iraq. Meaning GIVING BACK the country to the real president. Saddam didn't just think up the statements about George Bush, you can bet the Bush hating French and American Left lawyers fed him that. The Left will continually attack the trial as an election stunt; attack Bush as an "illegitimate" president staging the trial as agit-prop theatre. Sample: Here's a NYT headline just up
For the Iraqi people, the new government and the White House, Saddam Hussein's case carries as much peril as promise.
Not "AMERICA" but only the Bush White House is mentioned. The America of the New York elites has no stake in this. Saddam getting off would "embarrass" the White House. Note also that the Left Times is setting the stage for the election year stunt. The lawyers will do everything to smear the "appointed" government. Remember that Iran has billions to pour into the smear campaign, and corruption of the Iraqi government. You watch. The Left will side on every anti-Bush anti-Iraq government charge. Pile on every witness. Moveon.bakshish.left. The hole card for the prosecution: Oil for Food (Another Rosett column hidden by FOX). The reason the French and the UN need to smear this proceeding is to cover their criminal asses in the oil for food scandal in which the French were partners with Saddam in the biggest financial fraud in history. Putin is playing his hand by giving us tons of info figuring he may be left out.

BTW, in an additional slant on NYT lies, Schultzie really outs them regarding a fake story about Cheney being booed at Yankee Stadium.

Hillary for veep is positively Byzantine in its under the table plotting by the Clintons. Pretend you are Kerry, would you want this conniving plotting media leaking bitch for your "loyal" veep? The ultimate back stabber will go Arab on him. So if this really happens you can bet the Clintons pressured Kerry to do it in exchange for their monster support. She wants to be president. Her biggest problem is Edwards who would probably clean her clock in any primary. The Republicans will have a month after the nomination and will nominate Rice for VP which basically will cancel Hillary out. Stay tuned, more lies at 11.
