That is why they are trotting out every liar, political scum sucker, and Left wing bomb thrower hoping to divert any speculation regarding Miller. They need to make Rove the leaker. They need to. I watched Russert interview Cooper this AM. The question nobody is asking is: How would Rove know Plame was under cover? She was just some blonde over at the CIA. I still say the real villian is Judith Miller. And Rove ain't all that smart if he would trust any journalist. Deep deep background only means stick the knife in the back deeper and deeper than you have ever done before.

Simon, Bay, and many others are commenting on the alleged affluence of the jihadists and compare them to the 1960-70s "radicals." My comment:

Horowitz has run a zillion pieces regarding the "Red Diaper Babies" who are the offspring of 1930s hard core communists. In the U.S. this connection is almost a given, they learned their communism and urge for revolution from parents and grandparents. There are always the champaign socialists and the Dom Pérignon revolutionaries in the West and some are in the current "revolutionary class." However, I don't think you'll find that the actual terror bombers in Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Palestine are from that class. These guys are true believers, easy to point if it is local and there are Muslims and mosques handy; impossible to point long distance because they don't have the dedication or the ability to stick to something til it's done without constant personal re-enforcement.

As an added opinion: the Brits are now pointing to the supposed sexual deviancies of the accused bombers. This is standard police bullshit, designed to shame and embarrass the targets of an investigation. All sex offenders have small dicks, all murderers have left a string of clues, and so on designed to spook the targets. I only say, don't take comfort in these Brit "revelations." If these guys really are serious the classifications won't work.

And Air America stealing money intended for Alzheimers patients and kids? Didn't happen. MSM ignores it. If you check Google News you will find the main story is that Air America's audience is up 140% in LA and eating into Limbaugh's audience. All reference to the theft is blog and right wing news sites. Not a single MSM source. The POV from an unbiased source regarding AA ratings is quite interesting; source is Blog Critics

In the fourth quarter of 2004 Al Franken's ratings in New York were 44% of Rush Limbaugh's. In just 3 months that ratio rose to 60%; that is bad news, but not for Air America. In the same New York winter 2005 ratings, Air America's Randi Rhodes, on in the crucial afternoon drive-time, went up 33%, while the conservative talk shows in same time slot on WABC and WOR each went down 33%. Air America's evening show, The Majority Report starring Janeane Garofalo and Sam Seder went up 100%; while the WOR show in that time slot was flat and the WABC show went down 33%. In total audience, The Majority Report was the number one talk show in New York City in its time slot.

Methinks that a lot of Conservative bloggers may be sniffing at a bad batch of glue. I think Hannity is not remotely interesting or listenable; I think Rush has become an endless loop; O'Reilley is actually an interesting talk show; and here locally we have some real good nut cases on during drive times that entertain and raise real issues. I have this gut feeling that Conservative Talk Radio has run its course, the audience is not growing but declining and that is not good news for Republicans.

Half the web is pissing and moaning about the sentence meted out by a Seattle judge in the terrorst trial of Ahmed Ressam. The judge gave the guy the lightest sentence possible (22 years with 5 years off for time served) which means the guy will be out in 14 years and ready to kill again. Malkin leads the pissing and moaning but she and all her links fail to state the obvious:

the entire Left does not believe we are at war.

They still believe "terror" is merely a crime problem and that all benefits should be given to the accused, including those captured on the battlefield. The Left slobbers about the usual liberal social causes---the real criminal is our own government---bray for every hope for rehabilitation of people who are totally committed to jihad, and help once he gets out. The pretentious judge was appointed by Reagan and I leave it to you as to whether he is now senile or not.

Those of you who have seen tape re-plays of Red Sox pitcher Matt Clement being hit in the head with a line drive know that it is a miracle he wasn't killed, or at least very seriously injured. Every time a pitcher gets hit in the head by a batted ball many fans think back to an earlier time and an up and coming flame throwing legend by the name of Herb Score. As a rookie he struck out a league leading rookie-record 245 batters. The following year he struck out 263, won 20, and held opposing batters to a .183 batting average.

And then came the following May. In an early season game with the hated Yankees, Gil MacDougal ended Score's career with one searing line drive that drove into Score's eye socket. Everyone who saw it remembers the impact and the resulting explosion of blood from Score's face.

That was it for Score, a legend in the making on a staff that contained three other future Hall of Fame pitchers including the near incredible, Bob Feller. Lots of other pitchers have been hit in the head and have never come back. We all hope Clement is dumb enough not to be fazed.

And as an add here, the wild card has made almost all divisions competitive. Almost all games mean something so tension is high all over baseball. It's August and now is when it gets to be fun. Hope Clement can be part of the fun.

I asked a rhetorical question in my posting yesterday to the effect "who would want to be seen with Jane Fonda?" Well an emailer sent me the answer and it is millions will want to be seen with her. The photo above is of the massive support of the mostly CPUSA speakers at Berkeley last year. Multiply that by hundreds of college campuses and you will get the clue. The Left will be her staunch allies. I got this picture from a really scary site called MarxMail which links and links to all the usual suspects as well as people you may be surprised by. In the movie, "Get Shorty" the Danny Divito character observes that movie stars are so stupid they don't even know their own zip codes. Well I guess Jessica Simpson fits that description to a Tee. She goes into a war zone. Guess what she finds is going on there? Shooting and attacks. What gets me is that these morons, no matter what they say, no matter how stupid they are, will always be quoted in the media as if what they say is important.

Malkin exposes Air America as thieves stealing money from inner city kids programs to fund their enterprise. Terrific piece. Of course we reasoned this out, but the only reason that North Korea is engaged in "talks" regarding their nuclear "program" is that starving refugees are streaming into China. It's like the Mexicans swarming here. The Chinese want to stem the tide.

China has stepped up military patrols in the area. Notice boards erected outside police stations in Chinese border villages warn Korean-Chinese not to help their North Korean cousins.

The food crises is now permanent because they have ruined their agriculture, have no tractors left, no way to til the soil, and it's all America's fault, naturally. Meanwhile

North Korea cut daily food rations to 250 grams (8.8 ounces) per person in January, just half the minimum energy requirement, from 300 grams (10.6 ounces) last year. In early July, rations were slashed further in many places to 200 grams (7 ounces) per person per day, but were increased again in mid-month.

Union violence regarding organizing used to be a daily occurrance that went UNREPORTED by the unionized MSM. Setting stores on fire, beating up guys who voted the wrong way, intimidating entire work forces, were the way things were. The movie "On the Waterfront" characterized most of union activities at that time whether they were gangster controlled of not. Union thugs routinely carried rifles, bicycle chains, and tire irons as a daily practice. The Teamsters are notorious for "busting up" anyone who crosses them and they get away with it because the cops are in the same union. Since the breakup is about organizing, you can bet the union goon squads will be out in force very soon. The real scary thing is that the Teamsters will now be partners with government employee unions and this means the government workers will not investigate union corruption or union violence. London Blast---phony baloney stories abound regarding a chemical mastermind. EU papers are reporting once again that the explosive used was a highly sophisticated Chineses military type used to blow up Mikes Place in Tel Aviv last year. Don't know why the western press is cooling this one.

According to the German report, the Mossad relayed an analysis of the explosives used in the Mike’s Place attack to British security officials. Mossad sources are quoted as saying there is “high likelihood” the explosives used in Tel Aviv were the same ones used in London.

However, the story makes it unclear whether the Mossad is involved in any way in the investigation into the London bombings. After analyzing the explosive material used in the Mike’s Place attack, the Mossad concluded it was produced in China and later smuggled into Britain, the paper reports. The explosives were apparently stashed by terrorists connected to al-Qaeda who were able to evade raids by British security forces.

Markets: More mutual fund corruption exposed, this time it's Fidelity which used to be the top of the top. The performance culture is behind all this and the lack of transparency makes it all easy. As a person who knows the business from top to bottom, let me tell you that the entire business is corrupt, from the trading floors to the top of the brokerage business. Trading fees of a penny a share don't seem like much til you realize that a billion shares are traded every day, three billion if you include Europe and Asia. A billion times a penny is ten million dollars per day; thirty if you count all exchanges. That's a lot of commission.

Movies: For those of you who don't read Slate and are interested in some insight to the corporate structure, reporting of profits and so on, Jay Epstein wrote a good piece yesterday. Hollywood financial reporting has been corrupt for a century and why the SEC allows them to continue now that they are all owned by huge multi-nationals is a mystery. NOBODY knows what a movie costs, how much it actually brings in, and where the money goes before it gets to the company bottom line. Movies derive income through product placement, selling access to shoots, selling posters (potentially huge income), related product (toys), and of course DVD sales and rentals. Epstein says Hollywood is still making plenty----and hiding it.

Quantum Terror—the Probabilities don’t look all that good.
We are looking for the very very small, and tons of them. A quantum mechanics kind of problem
In conventional wars fought over the past few thousand years armies or countries confronted each other either across borders as in WWI and WWII, on fields in the middle of nowhere, or they were “fought” through technology and the threat to use it as in the Cold War. In both cases it was clear at all times what threats each side posed to the other and there were very few, if any, surprises. WWI was won when two equal forces clashed and one of them developed a superior technology (the tank that actually worked). WWII was won by the country (side) that had superior numbers or brand new technology. At no time did the opposing forces have to consider a sudden uprising behind the lines within their own countries, a sudden development of a superior force somewhere along their lines—the Battle of the Bulge was only a battle because American air power was kept on the ground for a week due to bad weather----or a universal shift in the laws of nature.

In other words, careful calculations were possible, enemy attacks could be accounted for in advance, and wars were fought by the von Clausewitz rules, rules which stated that the side with the most wins; and that the clever general will secretly mass superior force somewhere along a line and attack. This held true in the First Gulf War as Saddam was crushed. It held true for the Second Gulf War that was over in ten to twenty days. But now we’re fighting something completely different. Ten thousand or more little cells or armed platoons stationed in fifty or more countries, platoons that are invisible to the naked eye.

The tiny stuff as opposed to the tens of divisions massed along a line. Call it Quantum Terror.

Quantum mechanics came into being because all the known formulas that worked like a charm for big things like planets, stars, space exploration, and internal combustion didn’t work at all for the tiny sub atomic particles that cannot be seen by the devices available. They are just there. Quantum mechanics tells us that when you’re dealing with the super small you cannot tell anything for sure, all you can do is calculate the probabilities for an occurrence or two or three and you don’t know where, what, or when. You don’t even know how. The probabilities for the parameters of occurrences are all you can calculate. Quantum mechanics shows that things to do with these tiny sub atomic particles cannot be solved using physics. Quantum mechanics also shows that two identical occurrences can take place in widely divergent places at the same time for no known reason. Does communication take place, or does it just happen?

The War on Terror is actually a search for Newtonian Certainties in a Quantum universe.

Impossible.

What we are facing in the “war on terror” are thousands of tiny little armies or cells that can erupt anywhere on the globe at any time. A quantum enemy that can erupt in any one of fifty countries on any day. A revenge rape in Afghanistan, the murder of ten Hindus in India, the burning of a couple of villages in Timor, the assassination of two or three non Muslim government office holders in Indonesia, the murder of fifty Iraqis in Baghdad, the burning of crops in Thailand, genocide in Africa, and so on. Were there probabilities for the London attack? Sure. But until it happened nobody had an idea of who, what, where, or when. Will the U.S. be hit again? Sure, but who will do it, where it will happen, and when it will happen are only probabilities. We are used to dealing with a reality where things are always one way or the other. Quantum mechanics tells us that things can hover between partly this way and partly that way.

And so on.

We are fixated on finding A Single Leader here and there. There ain’t no Single Leader. There are just a thousand or ten thousand little leaders who can relate to each other spontaneously. Or not. Little leaders who we catch, or not. There’s a million little sub atomic ready-to-kill-and-die Muslims running around everywhere who are invisible to the all the sophisticated tools available today who are ready to join an invisible little cell.

Or not. It might depend on a mullah, an imam, or something published in Newsweek Magazine. And keep in mind that there are other terror groups besides the overtly Muslim groups that sometimes interact: Basque terror, Hindu terror (not publicized too much), IRA terror (subsidized by U.S. money and the Clinton White House), the terror being conducted in Columbia by their drug cartels, The Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, 17 November (Greek), Kurdistan Workers’ Party (calmed down lately), Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (inside Iran trying to oust the government), PKK, the tribal terror in Africa just to name a few. Terror has become THE choice of weapons all over the world.

I don't have a "unified field theory" to solve this quandary any more than anybody has for Science. Not even Einstein could come up with one. The only thing I can think of is to create an alternate reality that the sub atomic Muslims will be attracted to. Like a magnetic field where a magnet is set out on a table and tiny particles of iron are spread about it. Within a short while the pieces of iron will coalesce around both north and south ends of the magnet and form a field that can be seen. Then we can kill them.

Or not.

I heard my mother screaming from a back bedroom and I fearfully headed that way. As I got to the bedroom door I heard my dad say, "That son of a bitch. That son of a bitch." The cause of this outburst by my parents was the picture above (American dead at Tarawa) which appeared on the cover of Life Magazine and showed the slaughter of American GI's. My dad's ouburst meant that he blamed President Roosevelt for the deaths. All of my parents friends were sick, angry, and so sad many were crying. One picture on one cover of the major magazine of the day caused horror in the country. What do you think would have happened to the war effort had today's media been running pictures of dead GI's every night for months and months for the liberals of that era?

My take is that Ike would have been kicked out after the slaughter at Normandy the planning for which was awful, and the intel that failed to show any hedgerows at all. Regardless, he'd have been canned for sure after the Battle of the Bulge where we were "surprised" by a massive German buildup and later assault. Our losses were 80,000 casualties that should never have been lost.

In the Pacific, our liberal elites would have accepted the early 1944 Japanese offer of cessation of hostilities which would have left them in charge of many islands and allowed their military to remain in charge of the country. We would be living in a vastly different world.

The picture below was not run til after the war. Think of the screaming had that run the week after they ran the first one. As a note, the picture at the top was run at the suggestion of the War Department which felt that the American pulic was becoming indifferent to the war.

Fortunes are made on that theory alone.

Google is really not to be trusted----at all.

Many times people who actually do good in the world are inept when it comes to letting people know about it. Soldiers Angel is a case in point. This is a group with so many websites and projects that they make themselves impotent. ONE of the things that they are doing is trying to disburse PCs to wounded vets so they can communicate with loved ones. Let’s be judicious in evaluating President Bush’s choice of John G. Roberts, Jr. to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court.

Areas of possible concern include his tenure with the liberal establishment law firm Hogan & Hartson and his work with the left-wing Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights Under Law. A big red flag for me was the fact that he twice referred to the United States government as a “Constitutional democracy”, whereas the Constitution makes clear that we are a “republic” and that a republican form of government is guaranteed to each state.

On the plus side regarding Mr. Roberts is his strong backing from William Rehnquist who has been one of the better members of the Supreme Court.

We have a lot to learn, and The Conservative Caucus is currently involved in a major research project so that we can come to a considered, responsible conclusion. The mission statement of Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights Under Law:

The weather in soybean areas is very bad. The crop hasn't been ruined yet but there could be severe damage. I'd say that seventy five percent of the big money made in commodities has been made in beans (not energy). The contract is standard 5,000 bushels and each dime move is $500; each dollar is $5,000. Move On Dot etc. leads off with attacking Rove and then begs for action on Roberts, Memogate (Memogate????) and Social Security. The Left sycophants in the MSM will do the same once they stop aborto-pandering to the feminist parts---why do Lesbians care about abortion? We once had a guy who left with a bunch of Dunn and Bradstreet leads and we went after him balls out---and won. He couldn't even so much as call a name from the D&B list for two years after he left and his new company's new accounts were literally under our monitor for six months. Google has lost some reputation here because overtly stealing an inside exec from another company just ain't done without permission. I'm betting that this deal hurts their stock. Non-compete contracts are not meant to be violated. Running a public company is a lot different than running a private little shop. And starting yesterday, no company anywhere is going to trust Google and nobody is going to take their calls.

Market notes: Why is the market sort of blah even though all data is positive including earnings? In a nutshell: speculation and broker commissions that encourage same. Anybody who buys today with the intention of just selling when the stock goes higher is a speculator. Period. And here's the really funny part: long term players dominate every market both stock and futures. You should always stay in a stock that is paying good dividends and hasn't plunged below your bailout point, and if you scale out as the stock rises (sell some) your effective buy in price is lowered and your rate of return on investment rises. Every tout on TV is simply that, a race track tout on the con. Those of you who watch Cramer, a guy who happens to be actually good, are watching the penultimate tout. The big reasons that the two most successful investors of our generation, Peter Lynch (the original Fidelity guy) and Warren Buffet are successful is that both are long term players. What we have in the "markets" is a billion casino gamblers looking for the quick hit; all will lose eventually. I know a lady who bought Exxon around 25 years ago and has never touched it while it has split at least ten times and been involved in two buy outs. She has seen her holdings increase in value twenty fold NOT COUNTING DIVIDENDS. Her effective buy in price after all this is about a dollar. Have there been sell signals along the way? You betcha, but she was stupid and hung on.

What to expect if the Dems ever take over: According the the Hollywood Reporter (the usual Holly Industry Left rag) two liberal House members have introduced a sweeping bill that would re-regulate radio and TV back to the days before the 1996 Telecommunications Act.

The legislation is co-sponsored by Reps. Maurice Hinchey, D-N.Y.---visitor to Cuba and buds with Cynthia McKinney---and Diane Watson, D-Calif. (It is NOT called the Conservative elimination act) The measure would restore the Fairness doctrine, reinstate a national cap on radio ownership and lower the number of radio stations a company can own in a local market. It also reinstates a 25% national television ownership cap and requires stations to submit regular public interest reports to the Federal Commnications Commission. Keep in mind that this portion of our Congress is basically Communist, racist, and seeks to cause violence everywhere. See this little video of McKinney speaking INSIDE A CHURCH.

How many Dems will be on board this one depends on whether or not they are actually in power.

Right now I’m in what people might call my chemical enhancement period, a time when I feel I want to contemplate things. Things like when did time actually begin? Is there really endless great pussy after death in battle like the Muslims say? And Valerie Plame.

Deep stuff like that always occupies my idle hours. Right now I’m stuck on the time thing. Time began when? Did it have to begin? Couldn’t it have always been there? People say that time began when the Big Bang happened but that's stupid. There is a "before" the Big Bang. So time began before, prior to, and like that. So time has always been there. Like Valerie Plame has always been there. Well, not her exactly but the forces she represents. I think she is an incarnation of something that has always been here and will always be here even after everything else is gone. Sort of like the Pythagorean Theorem which is so cool it could be God. Since before there was anything and after there is nothing the square of the hypotenuse of a right triangle will equal the sum of the squares of the other two sides. Forever. And before.

Valerie Plame is the current representation of something like that. The force that has always been here and will always be here. A force that seeks to change things in ways that are outside the box; things like election results. Are Valerie Plame and her pathetic life partner Joe just petty little Washington bureaucrats destined to appear on the cover of Vanity Fair and then disappear forever? Or are they both parts of some rogue element within the CIA and our government bureaucracy who are trying to destabilize a freely elected government? Is she a MoveOndotOrg operative so filled with hate for Republicans in general and George W. Bush in particular that she felt she needed to do her part in destroying them? I lean toward the last one.

She had to have had a reason to agitate within the CIA to get her unemployed husband to Niger for the specific purpose of finding that there was no attempt by Iraq to buy yellowcake there. Even if there was an attempt. Or did she act without reason because she was bored? A Desperate Spywife perhaps, needing a thrill outside of her sexless marriage? Did she just need a little thrill like getting rid of a president she hates?

That force, the Valerie Force; call it envy; the sureness that she is smarter than everyone else especially elected leaders; the knowledge that she is placed on this earth to do whatever she thinks is appropriate to destabilize an elected government whenever she feels it necessary; that force, the force of self righteousness, has been with us since before Pythagoras and will be with us long after everything else is gone.

She is forever and governments will always quake when she decides to act. We can only hope that other forces will prevail and send her under the rocks of time until next time. And for her there will always be a next time.

And for us too if we fight hard enough this time.

I cannot let the day go by without commenting on the hypocrisy that is Hillary Clinton who demands in public that the border be strengthened while voting not to fund extra Border Patrol and extra beds for illegals caught crossing the border. She pandered at a Mexican Race Rally on Sunday by demanding college tuition payments for illegals graduating from high school while neglecting to say what she will do with the majority of illegals who don't graduate. She didn't mention that the average Hispanic 12th grader knows about as much as a white ninth grader; what will she give the dopes? A terrific piece over at ParaPundit. The MSM, or at least some big parts of it, are finally coming around to the facts surrounding the "Plame Kase." Today Mark Steyn has a large piece in the Chicago Sun Times. The NRO continues to report some facts HERE. Naturally the Washington Times stays on it HERE.

Susan Schmidt of The Washington Post (in a story buried inside on page A9), described the Senate Intelligence Committee report on July 10, 2004: "Wilson's assertions -- both about what he did in Niger and what the Bush administration did with the information -- were undermined yesterday in a bipartisan Senate intelligence committee report. The panel found that Wilson's report, rather than debunking intelligence about purported uranium sales to Iraq, as he has said, bolstered the case for most intelligence analysts. And contrary to Mr. Wilson's assertions and even the government's previous statements, the CIA did not tell the White House it had qualms about the reliability of the intelligence that made its way into 16 fateful words in President Bush's January 2003 State of the Union speech."

What seems to be happening, albeit very slowly, is the MSM lies are falling apart. Even more, Valerie Plame herself is coming under suspicion and the more you sniff on this one the more the stench of cheap perfume assaults the senses. More and more it seems that she is the one who has led all the fabricating. She donated money to the America Coming together and Gore campaign using a CIA front as her employer and using the names Wilson and Plame. For the record she donated $3,700 less than the traitor, Aldrich Ames; her hubby donated even more than the traitor by $4K. She actively campaigned within the CIA to have her hubby sent to Niger, and she has been lying about that too. The good side to all this is that the Special Prosecuter reads the press and the web and he now knows, if he didn't already know, that Princess Valerie is a liar.

Meanwhile, who’s under investigation? Not Plame and Wilson, who appear to have hatched this scandal, but those truly victimized by it — administration officials who, it appears, sought to correct Wilson’s lies.

LA weather report: seventy miles away the temps near 130 degrees. Here, it is 75 to 80, the beach is 70 to 72, and the nights are in the low 60s. Usually we get baked out of our skulls when desert temps soar, but this year we are cool. For now. Global warming? The Atlantic Ocean temps are very high, in the 80s. The Pacific temps are very cool, so cool that there were zero Pacific hurricanes hitting the Pacific Americas this winter and spring. The SoCal water temps are 65, which is extremely cold for this time of year; the local sports fishing is terrific further north because the really good fighting fish (albacore, THE tackle busting fish of choice here) like the water warm. Normal ocean temps about now are usually 71 to 73. Sample reports from HERE ARE for boats going a hundred miles out and down:

Pt. Loma Sportfishing, H&M Landing, Fisherman's Landing: 39 anglers, two full-day boats: 150 albacore;

However the near to shore fishing sucks all the way down to Cabo due to the cold water. There ain't no marlin, sails, or even big bonita. You have to take a two day boat to catch anything.

My final IMAX posting. An acquaintance, who is one of the top brokerage firm execs and stock analysts, emailed me the following:

....IMAX is controlled by a bunch of incompetents, hustlers, and liars. They have built a better mousetrap and cleverly placed it on a raft in the middle of the river, the one place the mice cannot possibly get to. IMAX has no real product, has been sold and leased to exhibitors who are nearly bankrupt, and IMAX itself has no capital to expand. The old consent decree which banned studios from owning theatres assures one and all that the technology that could actually revive the movie business remains in weak hands.

I think that means that without a takeover by a company with large amounts of capital, you can forget IMAX. Might be worth a shot because it's a ten dollar stock. A takeover could catapult the stock to thirty or so. Or maybe eleven.

I've commented many times on this site that we may have created a monster with the Iraqi Army and Security forces. It looks like we have. The entire Arab culture has a history of military abuse of citizens and why should it stop now? This report is probably just under the corner of the rug. Every takeover has been with the military in the corner of the strong man before the usurpation of power. This is a U.S. trained and armed collection of thugs, incapable of real fighting, but capable of terror on their own people, make no mistake.

Had you heard not only that no crime was committed in the communication of information between Bush administration officials and Novak, but that no crime could have been committed because the governing law gives a person a complete defense if an agent's status has already been compromised by the government?

Rush covered it well this AM if you listened--I caught about 15 minutes---but read it. You'll be pissed off for at least a minute or two. Never, ever believe anything MSM says about anything again. But some guys don't lie. Bill Gertz published this piece in October of 2004

The identity of CIA officer Valerie Plame was compromised twice before her name appeared in a news column that triggered a federal illegal-disclosure investigation, U.S. officials say.
Mrs. Plame's identity as an undercover CIA officer was first disclosed to Russia in the mid-1990s by a Moscow spy, said officials who spoke on the condition of anonymity.

In a second compromise, officials said a more recent inadvertent disclosure resulted in references to Mrs. Plame in confidential documents sent by the CIA to the U.S. Interests Section of the Swiss Embassy in Havana.

In other words everybody in Russia, most in the press, and the totally whacked out CIA was spreading it around. Long before Novak got the story.

Final Nail in Rove Story Coffin
July 15, 2005 BEGIN TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: So last night, as always, I'm sitting at home and I'm working. I'm preparing for this program and I'm bothering nobody because I'm alone. Although I do know I bother people even when they're not around. (Laughter) But, all of a sudden, there started to be in my e-mail this official buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz, and it was coming from the beltway, coming from inside the beltway in our nation's capital. Buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz. Apparently the New York Times had an exclusive coming in today's paper. Normally, you can read tomorrow's paper, the New York Times website, starting at about -- well, depending -- sometimes, if your RSS feeder is up to snuff, you get some of tomorrow's stories in the New York Times at 10:00 the night before. But they had embargoed this one until 11:30. Oh, they were hyping it. They were really keeping the buzz. And the buzz was, "Oh, my gosh, they're going to nail Rove!" And the buzz then started, "No, no, no. This is going to exonerate Rove." So I patiently waited, did all I could to get an advance copy of it.

And, lo and behold, the bottom line is that Karl Rove is not the source of anything. It was a journalist who told him of Valerie Plame's identity and where she worked and so forth. White House senior advisor Karl Rove indirectly confirmed -- this is the Washington Post version of the New York Times story, which I thought would be a unique way of looking at this. "White House senior adviser Karl Rove indirectly confirmed the CIA affiliation of an administration critic's wife for Robert D. Novak the week before the columnist named her and revealed her position, a lawyer involved in the case." This is apparently a lawyer who knows what the testimony at the grand jury has been, called the New York Times. Now, you can speculate who the lawyer is all day long, the list is going to be pretty small of possibilities here. "The lawyer, who has knowledge of the conversations between Rove and prosecutors, said President Bush's deputy chief of staff has told investigators that he first learned about the operative from a journalist and that he later learned her name from Novak." He doesn't remember who the journalist was who first told him that Wilson's wife worked for the CIA. "The New York Times reported the conversation between Rove and Novak in its Friday editions. The lawyer confirmed that account and elaborated on it. The account suggests that Rove could not have been Novak's original source but may have been a secondary source."

I can tell you how this works because I know reporters. I know reporters and I know liberals like every square inch of my glorious naked body. So Novak has heard about this. He's heard that Valerie Plame is her name and that she's at the CIA. So he calls Rove. And he says, "You know, this is going around and this is going around and it's going around. What do you think of this?" And he's just looking for some sort of confirmation from somewhere. And Rove says, "Yeah, yeah, I've heard that too." Rove, by the way, never called anybody on any of this. Rove only received phone calls. And ostensibly, in both cases, both Novak and Matthew Cooper, the phone calls that they placed to Rove were about other issues. Cooper wanted to talk about welfare reform and Novak wanted to talk about something else. At least that was their cover. But it is clear that Novak informed and confirmed for Rove -- and when Rove shot back, "Yeah, that's what I've heard too." Novak felt that he had enough confirmation to go with this. But what this does here, folks -- the story's over. I mean the story is over. I mean we can play the audio sound bites from yesterday, which I might do. We could play Joe Wilson. We've got that pathetic press conference. Do you know the networks bumped out of that Wilson-Schumer press conference in something like four minutes? It was so uninteresting and boring. And I'll tell you, you know, Schumer's not helping the Democrats at all folks. He doesn't play well outside of New York. In New York, he may play okay, but to the country, who is this Schumer guy and why is he telling us all of this? And why, if Schumer is so concerned that Rove's security clearance be pulled, where was Schumer when Jay Rockefeller, Ron Wyden and one other senator divulged this secret spy plane project that was being developed?
Nobody was concerned about that. Nobody was concerned their security clearance be pulled. They did this under the guise that we didn't need to waste this kind of money on this super-secret project. So there's hypocrisy all over the place and I think what's happened here is exactly what I told you was going to happen. I think, ladies and gentlemen, that what has happened here is that the Democrats have pushed too far too fast without any evidence whatsoever to support their claims. They did this because of their utter desperation, which is a product of their hate and their seething rage. You've got Schumer killing them PR-wise outside of New York City. He's the worst possible point man for them on this. And I'd like to see a poll on what the American people think of Joe Wilson. I want to say a poll of what the American people think of Chuck Schumer. I can predict we're going to get polls on what they think of Rove and Bush and all this. But if the Democrats are so damned certain of Rove's criminal guilt, why are they demanding more investigations? Why are they calling for his clearance to be pulled? Why are they calling for his resignation? Why can't they wait for the prosecutor to speak? Because it's not about whether Rove did anything legal or not. It's all about strategy which is simply getting rid of enemies with all this mudslinging. You hopefully throw enough mud on the wall and some of it's going to stick and just cloud up all the issues and divert people's attention from other things like Dick Durbin and the war and the bombs that went off in London.

I mean, anytime terrorists strike, it's bad news for the Democrats because it points out how literally, absolutely weak they are and how we cannot count on them for the nation's security, and they've hated Rove ever since they've known Rove. He's beaten them from Texas to Florida to Washington, and so, you know, this is so much a modus operandi for them, a standard operating procedure, that they just are so sure when they aim their crosshairs at somebody. And their experience is -- you have to understand this now -- back 30, 40 years ago, if you ended up in the lib or lib media crosshairs you were dead. They could get you. But not today, folks. Those days are over and they still don't realize it. They can aim their crosshairs on people but it doesn't mean they're going to get away with it automatically anymore. I think they've really overstepped now because it is clear that Rove is not the source for this, and it's clear that Rove has nothing to do with why Judith Miller is in jail, and I think, as I said yesterday, all roads lead to Joe Wilson. This guy's out there talking to any reporter that will call him on him. In fact, Joe Wilson's seeking out reporters. They're not even calling him. Joe Wilson's all over the place and he can't tell the truth. He's lying here, lying there, has lied in a number of places. Cliff May, a former reporter for the New York Times now runs a think tank of sorts and contributes to National Review Online. He has an interesting theory today. He said that the actual culprit here, the person responsible for all this knowledge about his wife is him, Joe Wilson, via an interview with David Corn of the Nation. A year ago David Corn was talking to Wilson and asking him questions. And Wilson's answering in hypotheticals. He says, (paraphrasing) "Well, let's say, for example, that my wife was a covert agent or let's say that my wife was a secret agent. Well, what would happen in that case?"

"Well, you're saying she was?"

"Oh, no, no, no. I'm not saying that. But let's say she was..."

And then he said, "Let's say she wasn't. If she wasn't a covert agent and this news came out about her, what would happen then?"

Well, Cliff May, putting on his New York Times reporter's cap, says, "That is a common reporter technique, and a source technique, that Wilson was actually outing his wife without saying so. By setting up that hypothetical that Corn could then run with and take it and blame it back on Novak or somebody else."

So all roads lead to Joe Wilson in this, and probably his wife somewhere along the way. I mean, this woman is probably not clean and pure as the wind-drive snow either. We have this image of her as practically virginal, great heroine and someone has come along and corrupted her and ruined her life, and that isn't true either. And then you've got Judith Miller in jail, and Rove said it's a journalist that first told him about all this and he doesn't remember who. And the New York Times has been leading the liberal charge for this scalp of Karl Rove. So much so they leave their reporter in jail because they -- and even though there's a waiver that's been granted, she won't come forward and identify her source. It's got to be because it's too embarrassing to her and to the New York Times. So regardless, typical Democrat and liberal media overstepping eagerness born of seething rage and hatred. Just to substantiate, and again, this is because there's some libs in the audience. And like I said yesterday, I could announce on this program that the sun rises in the east, that it sets in the west, and when there are no clouds in the sky, the sky is blue, and the liberals would accuse me of lying. So I will never have credibility with this. I can sit here and say the Rove case is blown sky high, and that all signs, all roads lead to Wilson and they're not going to believe it. Let's go to the audio Sunday bites and just add to this. Yesterday on CNN, this guy, Bruce Sanford, who is a First Amendment attorney, and he also was a consultant on this law that Rove was said to have violated, he was a guest on CNN, and I have two sound bites from his appearance. The first question to him was: We've heard a lot about the act but let's look at it, actually read a section from it. "Knowing that the information disclosed so the identity of covert agent and that the US is taking affirmative measure to conceal such covert agents' intelligence relationship to the US. In other words, what you're saying, the reason why there's no evidence of criminal wrongdoing is because Karl Rove didn't do anything wrong because he didn't know that Plame was covert?"

SANFORD: That's pretty clear from the notes, the e-mails that TIME magazine released to the grand jury, that Karl Rove said that Wilson's wife -- he didn't even use her name, but Wilson's wife, quote, apparently works, unquote, at the CIA. It seems to me there's a substantial question whether she qualifies as the kind of covert agent that was envisioned by the act. They're very tight requirements for that and there's a substantial doubt whether the agency was taking the kind of affirmative measures to conceal her identity that the act talks about.

RUSH: And he addresses that fact in this next bite. The question is: Well, breaking the law, partisan politics, do you think Valerie Plame is now damaged goods?

SANFORD: It is worth remembering that when Robert Novak, the columnist, disclosed her identity in his column, he had called the CIA to tell them he was going to do that, and they didn't stop him. They did not do what the CIA normally does in that situation if they want to protect or continue to protect somebody's identity. They didn't call his syndicate. They didn't scream at him and say you're going to endanger danger her life or endanger her career, that sort of thing. They just sort of shrugged and said well, I guess she won't be getting any more overseas assignments. I don't think that's the kind of affirmative measures that the agency needs to be taking in order to invoke this statute.

RUSH: It's been kind of funny to see how hard the media has been taking all these revelations. I was watching CNN this morning and Peter King, who is just out there and he is rallying the Republicans to fire back at all of this and he's calling a spade and a spade and he was on with Soledad O'Brien on CNN this morning and you could see that Soledad was just -- I mean they all are convinced Rove's a criminal, Rove's a jerk, Rove's a liar, Rove's got to go. And yet all the evidence that is utterly exculpatory, especially this morning, and all of the evidence, you can just see it disappoints these people because they thought, because they're premature and they overstepped and they went too fast, they thought they had Rove. This last bite here, I mean Novak called the CIA and said, hey, I'm running this story. They didn't ask him to do anything. Didn't ask him to not do it, didn't ask him to hold it, anything of the sort.

Should Africa dare to grow GE crops, the French won't sell anything to them or buy anything from them. So us cheap Americans will once again be told we must give Africa money, money they wouldn't need if it weren't for the EU.

Roger L Simon thinks because he was a Hollywood writer for 20 years he knows how actors "really think" and so he disagrees with VDH. It doesn't dawn on him that all actors tell people what they want to hear so they can get jobs later. As an actor for 20 years let me tell all of you that one of the problems all actors have is that they DO believe they are the characters they are playing. In fact Method Acting, which is calling upon your inner experiences to create a character, makes this connection almost automatic. I once actually started behaving like a Mafia hit man, not that I had guns, but I actually believed that I could kill anybody I wanted to. I stopped believing that when I got a part as a ruthless business owner on Serpico and I believed in that also. This is aided by the recognition of people on the street grabbing you and thinking you are the character you play. People who play continuing parts on series become that character. Period.

If you don't think that Martin Sheen didn't think he was actually the President you miss the reality. Actors also view the people they are playing through the PC Hollywood lens. All businessmen are bad, ditto all Republicans, social workers are good, and so on.

This morning's suicide bombing in Iraq killed at least 70 people. In one attack. We have no control over the situation there, no matter how it is spun. Terrorists WILL win because the Iraqi people will soon be willing to do anything to be safe from these attacks. We have no intel, never have had, and perhaps never will have. It has been faulty since the 90s. The CIA is so disfunctional that the wife of some defrocked ambassador can get him sent on a secret mission. The wife had him sent at who knows what salary. Nepotism like that would get you fired from most corporations who do not operate in secret. CIA, a secret organization charged with defense of our country apparently has no problem with it.

Again, my POV on these terror groups: killing a so-called leader does no good at all. The Israelis have just killed Hamas leader number 27 and those cells will still function. The only way killing a leader would work is if the leader were either the sole source of money or a main source---killing binLadin a few years back would have had an affect. These cells, once created, need no leadership. They get help from other cells as they go along. So far as the Brit thing goes, there is the possibility that the four young men were killed by someone else within the cell who planned to detonate the bombs from long distance all along. The young men may have only intended to plant explosive charges in the trains and then get off.

Let's face it, the number one export from the EU (France) is military hardware especially including jet fighters. The dictators in the starving nations will simply funnel G8 money back to France for the planes; right now they are waiting to see just how good our new F-22 (above left) and the new F-35 (above right) will be--but Congress will probably ban the sale of the planes to any foreign power. Zimbabwe is buying Chinese fighter planes, and the EU countries in general are supplying military aid in any form they can---attack helicopters, diesel engines, and explosive materials---and pocketing the money. France has just developed a brand new fighter plane for their non-existent air force. Their new plane, called the Rafale, is in competition with the EU fighter plane. EU is determined to sell to all comers, all dictators, all regimes. We will maintain military superiority over all competing aircraft, for now. But here come da chinks and they will be players, make no mistake.

Flu vaccene will be short again this year. Chiron is the main manufacturer and they made another bad batch---

Chiron Corp., which last flu season halted its output of flu vaccine for the U.S. market because of quality-control problems, said Friday it will cut supply of vaccine in Europe after it discovered tainted batches at its plant in Germany.

The Marburg, Germany plant makes Begrivac, a flu vaccine Chiron sells in Germany and England. The company reduced its expected output of Begrivac for the upcoming flu season to 4 million doses from 12 million. Chiron does not expect to sell any Begrivac in the third quarter and said it is working with German regulators to discover the extent of the contamination.

IMAX stock tip, continued----there are major problems with IMAX as I researched the stock. There are almost no listings for either location or movies being shown. If you do a Google search for IMAX theatres in LA you get two. Yahoo search yields zero. Since I know of at least four in Los Angeles and two in outlying cities, I think this should be a major consideration when looking at the stock. It is also true that the company seems more than eager for self promotion without giving you the info you need to attend anything anywhere. This is probably why the stock is a $10 stock. Screen Daily, the online edition of Britain's Screen International trade publication, quoted an analyst as saying that a recent report on Imax by the ratings agency Moodys "was one of the most scathing he had seen." The trade paper itself commented: "Imax Corp. is in serious trouble." This report has been corrected because Moody's is quite positive on the company.

HOWEVER stock ownership among institutions is a huge 60% plus, always an indication that the stock is held by people who really know their shit. In addition there are a lot of short sellers on the stock, but the word seems to be that they will buy back like lightning if the quarterly report shows a profit. The accounting seems muddy. Lots of their systems are owned by chains who are going bankrupt because of the movie going slump. Their accounting, backed up by analysts, shows very low debt when compared to cash on hand. Imax's hype is catching up to its stock.
Expectations were running sky high earlier in the year, partly due to Imax's over-promotion; Imax's PR department has already churned out 16 press releases during the first 16 weeks of this year some of which merely rehash old news. Other reports say that, "Rove testified that Novak told him he had learned and planned to report in a weekend column that Wilson's wife, Plame, had worked for the CIA, and the circumstances on how her husband traveled to Africa to check bogus claims of alleged nuclear material sales to Iraq. Further, Rove told the grand jury that by the time Novak had called him, he believes he had similar information about Wilson's wife from another reporter but had no recollection of which reporter had told him about it first, the source said.

The actual source of all the Valerie Plame stuff is actually Judith Miller, you know the one posing for Holy Pictures as she goes to jail to "protect her sources." Q: Can an obviously chemo clouded Supreme Court Justice be removed? Is it possible for him to serve effectively? Can't we get rid of Renquist?

Article III of the Constitution provides that the Justices, and all other federal judges, hold their offices "during good Behaviour." (and while they serve, their pay cannot be cut. We can't even starve them out) They may resign at any time, or retire when eligible. Once confirmed, however, they may be removed—in accordance with Article II—only by "Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors." In effect they serve for life. Never in the Nation’s history has a Supreme Court Justice been removed by impeachment.

BIG BIG MOVIE NEWS: From the very beginning of the medium movies were movies because the experience of seeing one was unique in all the world. There was nothing like it and people just HAD to see them. Well IMAX is about to change movie going habits THIS WEEKEND. The Johnny Depp Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is going to open nationwide in IMAX, and it will be the unique experience that audiences will not be able to get on DVD or conventional theatres. Watch this because it's going to explode. Buy IMAX stock? I haven't looked at the company (balance sheets, debt, profit record) but the fucking chart looks like a classic buying opportunity on a breakout from a cup and handle formation. It has built a base over time and this break into a new market is absolutely something new in the company. They are also constructing new theatres in multiplex zones, AND IF the resulting experience is truly an IMAX one, you have to look at this. If you are a serious player take a look at this stock NOW; even better, it's a $10 stock. DO NOT WAIT, if you're going to do it, investigate the company over at IBD (if you don't get the paper you aren't a serious player) and DO IT NOW. I wrote a detailed essay researched to the hilt and praised by no-less than super spy Herb Meyer that is HERE detailing how a terror cell is formed, expands, relates to other cells, gets what they need for an attack, and then performs it. Very long read.

I summarize, but Brit terror bombers probably started like this: a few young guys hanging out, they have coffee, go to movies, maybe go to school too. Probably play a sport together. A third pal overhears and bonds over the resentment that is now turning to hate; all fueled by mullahs and imams spouting vengence in the mosques. A fourth may also join the group. At this time a member of an active cell hears about them, talks to them, and finds out how deep their hatred is. Once satisfied the other cell member puts these four guys in touch with another cell. There are now five in the original cell. Two more join and one of the new ones "knows somebody" meaning another established cell member. The talk turns to bombing and killing. A person who knows where to get explosives agrees to supply the four now frothing at the mouth young terrorists. The deal is done. There is no mastermind. There is no leadership. Just a bunch of small cells, all of which hate the west, some members of which are willing to blow up places and kill themselves.

The main fuel for this Muslim Rage is sometimes much more basic than just Muslims gone wild. Note that almost all bombers are young men, most under 25. The Muslim religion forbids sex outside of marriage. The young men can't marry anybody unless they can supply the father of the bride with a dowry. Unemployed welfare freeloaders cannot supply the dowry and so don't have sex. The western women drive them nuts, the testosterone flows, and young man violence is the only way they have to prove their masculinity. So this is as much a manhood thing as a Muslim thing. The one thing in the Brit bombings that doesn't fit is that one of the young men was married and but it looks like all were from what is called "working class" areas known for the poverty.

I was in foreign territory yesterday and was forced to watch that pathetic channel do the following: claim Rove revealed the name of Valerie Plame; literally pound on the fact that the Space Shuttle may blow up today and that NASA is incompetent; and continually specualte that the Republicans have put the country at risk for not spending billions to protect public transportation and imply that were we not in Iraq we'd be safer. I went over to the blog and the very first item claimed that Karl Rove had revealed the name of Valerie Plame---since corrected. No wonder they are last in the ratings.

It is called "organic" meaning judges or Parliament can change it any time EXCEPT that Rule of Law can prevent that, usually.

Their so-called Bill of Rights refers only to The Crown.... it addresses only the rights of Parliamentarians sitting in Parliament as against the Crown. The People have jack shit. Except....

Freedom from royal interference with the law (the Sovereign was forbidden to establish his own courts or to act as a judge himself)
freedom from taxation by royal prerogative, without agreement by Parliament
freedom to petition the king---you can ask for a connection to his latest cache of bimbos
freedom from a peace-time standing army, without agreement by Parliament
freedom [for Protestants] to bear arms for self-defence, as allowed by law. The "law" now forbids bearing arms.
freedom to elect members of Parliament without interference from the Sovereign
there is only freedom of speech in Parliament, in that proceedings in Parliament were not to be questioned in the courts or in any body outside Parliament itself (the basis of modern parliamentary privilege)

So as we watch their cops dynamiting citizen doors and just going in, that's the way things can be done over there unless Parliament stops it. This also means that the "tolerance" that exists there now can be reversed in a nanosecond by an act of Parliament. It's a different system and that is why we had a rebellion.

What you are seeing right now is cops doing whatever the hell they want to do in order to catch these guys and it is all OK. Different system. When the Brit cops get going they can really get going.

My take on the Karl Rove thing is that these MSM assholes jumped all over the "traitorious" revelations----when we all know they didn't care at all----and absolutely must make it seem like they had a story in the first place. Which is total bullshit. 9/11 was a big surprise that no one anywhere had on their radar screen. Madrid was a mild surprise and London more of the same. The spooks got spooked and in a mass hysteria delivered a phony threat. Most in the CIA and other agencies thought the info bogus, but since it was what too many people wanted to hear we went on a fake Red Alert. Details are here

Now, Matt Cooper's source, whoever that was, apparently just released him from his oath of confidentiality, or pledge of confidentiality. So, it doesn't make any sense that Matt Cooper's source was Karl Rove, at least in any way that matters to this case.

The question, of course, remains who was Judith Miller's source. The prosecutor is saying, 'I know who Judith Miller's source was and that source has released her from her obligation of confidentiality.

How come the market didn't fall apart on the day of the London bombing? Here's a trading rule, or fact, that any trader (not investor) needs to know every day. There is a situation known as "the big surprise." A big surprise is an event that nobody anywhere had in their trading matrix as a possilility, therefore when a big surprise happens the markets go crazy---up or down---and if you are on the wrong side you will get killed. A down market is particularly vicious because the people who panic overwealm everything and sell stops mean zero. You get out when you can at whatever price you can get.

9/11 was a Big Surprise. The Madrid bombing was a surprise ocurrance as was the London bombing. Every trader has a possible terror attack factored into their mix and the London bombing becomes no more than a sudden heat wave in the soybean crop or a surprise freeze on the east coast. London was ho-hum to the experienced stock trader who immediately looked for stocks to buy instead of bailing out of a market in a panic.

Markets bounce back quickly from a surprise, not very quickly from a Big Surprise.

What's rong wit' duh movees? Anyone who has ever gone to any writing class, be it at a major university or some workshop run by famous writers, learned that the most important thing in writing a script (besides story) is "character development." These days all the people from all the right schools and places read scripts and shitcan any that don't have 25 pages of "character development."

Right Now HBO is showing a 70s huge hit move called Bullit. This fucking movie starts in second gear and roars into fifth before you know it and there isn't one iota of character development to be found in so much as a frame. Most of the movies that are best have very little character development because they depend on stars that we know and who needs to know any more about them? How much more do you need to know about Humphrey Bogart? John Wayne?

You have to learn a hell of a lot about Brad Pitt, who is a guy who doesn't know who he is. Therefore he has to be in a movie with character development. Tom Cruise does not. Neither did Arnold.

Character Development means endless talking about what is wrong with Bush, Republicans, how awful men are, how the Third World needs our help, how my mommy hated me and so on. The character "develops" into a PC stereotype who finally agrees with the Left Wing agenda and Hollywood applauds. As an excercise for yourself do this: what were the slow spots in the last "good" movie you saw? Every slow spot was character development.

Movies used to be called "the picture business" back when things were silent. It is still the picture business, all crapped up with meaningful socially significant dialogue. Talking about "social issues" means close ups on actor faces and actors just love close ups of themselves. It seems the public is fed up with them, especially when ticket prices are between $8 and $15 a pop.

Before I leave this subject, I do not mean that character development can't be a part of a great movie. What would Godfather be without developing characters? Or Million Dollar Baby? Or Lion King? It's just that story is most important. Sometimes character development is necessary to move the story. Not to give us a lecture about morality, politics, or ethics.

Great News for Ford: th '06 Mustang is getting nothing but raves and dealers still don't have many to sell. This is a very hot car, very fast, and strictly for younger people who just want speed. It was crazy and very intense. One woman said that she’d give a medal to the person who killed Bush.

While the husbands did not join in the passion, they agreed in principal. This may be representative of millions of families with sons who may be called up in a few years. And they will be joined by more and more every year. Nancy Pelosi and Barbara Boxer are not just speaking to empty dresses.

The hysterical Left is composed of many like these moms who lashed out today.

There is a technology that has been around awhile called Steganography in which messages are concealed within one dot on a web page and passed along to those who know where the dots will be placed. What is suspected is that Osama creates many porn sites and because of the heavy traffic it is nearly impossible to know who is doing what where. How many porn sites? In how many countries? In how many languages?

It works like this. The site of the day might be "hotbitchesfromhell dot com". If you are a terrorist, you go to the main site and then know exactly what subsite you want (hot bisexuals). You go there and know exactly on what page and where the hidden message, if there is one, will be placed. You have the tools (program), read the message, and leave the site. The page is changed every two hours, or five hours or whatever so that it is nearly impossible to find.

The history of messages hidden so that they couldn't be found goes all the way back to the fucking Greeks. Greeks would shave the head of a messenger, tattoo a message onto the bald head, and after the hair grew out, send the messenger. When he got to where he was going his head was shaved and the message could be read.

I'll bet everybody in the spy biz is having a heart attack about now.

This post is for all of us who rage when we listen to what politicians are saying regarding the confirmation of an as yet to be named Supreme Court Justice. We respond to the skanky dialogue with even worse responses; fuck you, kiss my ass, you goddam liar and so on. We do this out of frustration. Our heads boil over because we don’t know exactly how these scumbags are fooling everyone. What tactics are being used? We know their arguments are phony, but we can't put our fingers on the pulse of them.

Don't worry about it. It's just that we don’t know the techniques of political mendacity. And it’s no wonder. These clever methods are taught to these slimeballs at Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Arizona State and all the usual places. Not only that, the smart guys all take debating classes where these deceptive techniques are honed under the supervision of some of the best Left Wing minds in academia. What emerges are the best liars on the planet, adept at conning their way through courts, arrests, election campaigns, TV appearances and talk shows. They plant their clever statements in all the right places with the help of an always compliant media.

Academia trains the liars among us. You don't graduate til you have learned to manipulate others through lies and devices.

So here’s the real deal, explained here for all of you who didn’t go to Yale, who couldn’t get into Harvard with a hall pass, and think Michigan has good football teams because all the high schools in Michigan have a secret way to turn out really smart big guys who are fast. Ready?

Premise: Bush says he wants a Supreme Court Justice who will interpret the Constitution, not invent new law (legislate).

Period.

The Democrats will attempt to “Bork” the unknown nominee; the Republicans will attempt to cover the Democrats with as much raw sewage as possible as their way to de-Bork “debate.” As Drudge reported this morning, the Democrats are going to war over whomever is selected. They will go to war and trick us into believing that they are behaving for "the good of the country."

Aassume that there will not be a single argument against whomever Bush selects that will be legitimate. The bogus “arguments” (smears, debates, accusations) will fall into the following proven debate categories: The Straw Man fallacy, the False Dilemma Fallacy, the Circular Dilemma Fallacy, and less effective devices such as Post Hoc Reasoning, the “loaded question,” Burden of Proof Fallacy, and the always popular Unfair Fallacy. I leave out smear, reputation destruction, personal attacks and stuff because we all know what they are and they don’t work anyway, or at least they don't work since the attempted lynching of Clarence Thomas.

First, the Straw Man Fallacy, the educated slimeball method of choice and the one already in use by the Democrats. The problem with any Straw Man argument is that they almost always work. The elite rodent element uses this device in order to get opponents away from the central argument and turn the debate to an invented argument. When using this one it is necessary to get the stupid voters focus off of an appointment of a Supreme Court Justice who will interpret the Constitution, and onto something else.

This tactic simply ignores a person's actual position and substitutes a distorted, exaggerated or misrepresented version of that position. Used correctly, it forces an opponent to deal with a phantom argument. This sort of "reasoning" has the following pattern, and note how diabolical it can be:

Example 1: "Senator Jones says that we should not fund the attack submarine program.
But I disagree entirely. I can't understand why he wants to leave us defenseless like that."

In the above, Senator Jones says that we shouldn’t fund the submarine program. Instead of saying something about the funding itself, the responder invents a new subject, a Straw Man called Defense. The purpose is to switch the debate to Defense and not discuss the funding of an individual program. Listen carefully to every political slug on TV; all of them use this tactic and they are good at it.

Many times we launch a straw man argument unconsciously. Let’s say that you and your wife are arguing about cleaning out the closets:
Wife: "We should clean out the closets. They are getting a bit messy." (Premise)
You: "Why? We just went through those closets last year. Do we have to clean them out everyday?"
Wife: "I never said anything about cleaning them out every day. You just want too keep all your junk forever, which is just ridiculous."

In the above example you sucked your wife into a completely different argument that you hope will work so you don’t have to help cleaning out the closet.

Currently, the Democrats have put up at least one Straw Man before anyone has been so much as nominated to the Court. This allows us to know what the Democrats want to pretend the argument will be about: Roe v Wade. The hope is that the “waters” will become so clouded with nasty side issues that the nomination will fall without ever debating the actual nominee. Some Conservatives (Christian groups) have put up the same Straw Man. This absolutely guarantees that the argument will be about Roe v Wade and not about appointing someone to the court who will interpret the Constitution, and not legislate from the bench.

Unless we wise up and stop it, the focus will be on choosing between a child murderer or a man who will not allow a woman the simple right to take care of her own body. Two fallacious statements. You smart guys out there will also note that this particular Straw Man contains something else: The False Dilemma Fallacy, which is covered below.

It is important to note that you cannot build a Straw Man out of actions, only out of statements or invented statements. The entire purpose of the Straw Man Fallacy is to invent a series of arguments that have nothing to do with the candidate and everything to do with inventing a monster. The current question becomes, how do we deal with the Straw Man argument of Roe v Wade and other subjects that most of the liberal population may want to argue in order to hide the fact that they don’t want a Conservative on the Court? Right now we are not doing a great job of dealing with The Straw Man. The fake argument. The Democrats will not allow the debate to be about anything else.

Next let’s look at the False Dilemma Fallacy. It is tried and true and it almost always works. The False Dilemma is always recognized because we are offered a "black and white-either or proposition," both of which present a total disaster possibility. In this tactic we are presented two options as if they were contradictions or contraries, when in fact they are not. The purpose is to stop you from thinking about alternative solutions to a problem. Telling you it is “life or death” when in fact you have a ton of choices available like delaying, running away, getting pals to help you out, and so on works because it scares you. The purpose of the False Dilemma Fallacy is to get you to think you only have two choices available.

“Better Red than Dead,” the favorite False Dilemma Fallacy of the 50s and 60s Left in America, is a great example. “Sign this or you’ll be broke in a month,” might be another. My all time favorite is “if you don’t put out right now it means you don’t love me.” This works more times than I can count. Put in today’s debate we can see the awful Kennedy example below which presented to America a destroyed country if Bork was allowed on the court. Currently both sides are presenting the “false dilemma” fallacy. The country will be destroyed if we don’t xxxxxxx.

Next we have a clever little thing called the Circular Reasoning Fallacy, perhaps the most devious of all the tactics because it pretends to be deductive argument when nothing could be further from the truth. Circular Reasoning means you assume to be true what you are supposed to be proving.

Here is honest Deductive Argument:

Baseball Fan: “What makes you say that football is the most exciting sport in the world?
Football Fan: “Because it has everything. Physical toughness, speed, diversity of tactics, and lots of scoring by long runs and long passes, and the sport that contains all those things must be the most exciting sport in the world.”

The preceding is honest deductive reasoning from available facts. Fan 2 “proves” his premise with facts. Next is a basic example of Circular Reasoning Fallacy:

Baseball Fan: What makes you say football is the most exciting sport in the world?
Football Fan: Because it is.

That fallacious argument is obvious. It can be stated as, "A is B, therefore A is B."

But in the real world people are more clever. We almost never recognize the fallacy of Circular Reasoning. The most famous example is one which we have all used as fact; Descartes famous statement: “I think, therefore I am.” We have been taught to accept it without thinking about it. The statement is fallacious. The famous statement begs the question, because when he said "I think," he'd already implied "I am" (or how else could he think?). Yet his fallacy continues to persuade people, over three hundred years later. Circular Reasoning depends on an assumption not stated, but assumed. This does not mean the statement is false, it just means the reasoning is false and must be challenged. Try this one:

“The charges of physical abuse at Abu Grahib are absolutely untrue, because our soldiers would never do something like that.”

The word “because” introduces a statement that makes no sense. How does the speaker know the soldiers didn't do it? Because they "would never do something like that?" Sounds like begging the question. Perhaps the soldiers didn't do it; perhaps they are innocent of the charges; but using circular reasoning like this will not help to defend them.

Another: ”Alberto Gonzales is the best candidate for Supreme Court Justice because he is totally better than any of the others.”

The assumption here ("because") is that Gonzales is better than the other candidates, AND the conclusion is that Gonzales is the best. Unless there is a claim made about why he is the best, which we don't have here, this assumes what the statement is supposed to be proving. This is another example of the Circular Reasoning Fallacy.

This fallacious reasoning is used a lot by Barbara Boxer, the studio heads, and all politicians. Always watch the word “because.”

Next is the The Unfair Fallacy—actually this is too easy except.....it is being used right now so let’s pop the bubble real quick. In the Unfair Fallacy,

equality is used to create falsehoods.

Equal treatment of good and bad arguments makes no sense. Just because there are two sides to every dispute doesn't mean that there is always something worthwhile to say on both sides.

In effect, to require someone to be "fair" by presenting both sides of a dispute, or by splitting the difference between two sides, is to make a judgment about the dispute before evaluating the validity and soundness of the arguments being made--and that, by definition, is a fallacy. "Murder is very bad, but it can also be very good" is LA Times reporting. "The Muslim culture is every bit as good as our own" is now taught as fact in all the wrong places..

Equality of both sides of an argument is also covered under compromise, or giving both sides equal weight. Dick says the Spurs won the game by seven and Jack says they won by ten; it is not correct to compromise and say that the Spurs won by eight and a half. Lots of compromise is made on this basis of giving "equal weight" to both statements. That is why so many compromises blow up. The recently formed Gang of Fourteen in the Senate compromised something that cannot be compromised. It will blow up.

Those are the most oft used tactics. When listening to debate or reading about a subject check to see if Fallacious Reasoning of any kind is being used. Keeps you from going out of your mind.

So relax and watch the tactics, taught to the worst among us by the worst above us. Supply enough hot air and shit can be made to float, sometimes.

The latest poll on the "best" newspapers is a total eliteist fraud. As a person with long experience in the financial field, allow me to give you some facts. The "number one" Financial Times of London is a rag. They tout every hype in Europe. They have absolutely no "street cred" with anyone who knows anything about investing in stocks. They are particularly bad when it comes to Brit commodities--cocoa (traded in pounds sterling), zinc, and the like. A really bad paper read by people who don't invest in anything. When I was in the commodity biz we used the FT to give stories to customers to get their money. When I say stories I mean things like, red rust has hit the cocoa crop, the elephants have stomped on cocoa farms in Africa, and so on. A total piece of crap is rated number one by the usual suspects.

And did I mention coffee? Coffee is traded around the world and they have a Brit agenda that is obscene. To be very quick, coffee is grown in S.A., Africa, Viet Nam, and Java (moka java). The African variety is total shit excepting Ethiopian coffee. They distort everything to slant to Africa. The coffee traded on the Exchange in New York is an INDEX, not coffee. There is very little relationship between the real price of coffee we drink (the good shit) and the index. Use the Financial Times and go broke.

It made perfect sense. My indoor plants had leaves turning yellow and much new growth had browning leaves. I went to the plant lady (actually this woman I used to screw) and asked her for advice. In candor, I must admit that I am always aware that if you show a woman you need help desperately your chances of getting laid improve exponentially, but I really did want to fix my plants. Too.

"Are you using tap water, Sweetie," she asked with her eyes looking deep into mine.

"Yeah. What the fuck else," said I romantically.

"The chlorine in the water is death to everything including plants. Death. You must use purified water. Your plants will recover and grow."

I left her apartment two days later and bought some purified water which I proceded to use on my plants. There was some improvement but then they reverted to their old evil ways. I thought they might need more light, meaning artificial light, so I surfed the net. At one of the hydrophonic sites I discovered the cure. It was a fertilizer with a 7-9-5 make up that isn't available anywhere other than hydrophonic plant stores. When I read the label it told about all the minerals and stuff that was in it---and then it dawned on me. When I started feeding my plants purified water I deprived them of the very minerals they needed.

Another whacked out Hollywood Liberal who is a hell of a lay but full of shit plantwise. The evils of chlorine, Right to Life, and Republicans almost murdered my plants. With a clear conscience.

As if things weren't bad enough for Suzette Kelo after the Supreme Court ruled that her city government could take her house and give it to a corporation, we now learn that she's going to be abused on compensation as well.

Since the city of New London has technically owned the property since they invoked eminent domain in 2000, they will only pay Ms. Kelo based on the 2000 value of the property.

Given what has happened to real estate prices in that time, a conservative guess would be that the fair price is now 50% higher, but it could easily be 100% or more. (I don't know enough about New London real estate to give a more accurate guess.)

And, the city's lawyers also claim that Ms. Kelo and her neighbors have been living in a house owned by the city for several years and that the city might hold them liable for rent money!

How's that for a government "fuck you?"

The dollar explodes overnight. While this is a continuation of a trend that I've been talking about since January and interest rates are rising, do not discount the chaos in EU economies. The strong dollar will adversely affect our manufacturing, hence our employment will go down, something that eliteist Greenspan and his pals don't give a shit about. It's hard to believe that Chiraq is as stupid as his Brit bashing leads us all to believe. It may be that the EU is talking the EC down. Chiraq:

Projected on our country today, the loss of life for America was three million. We might also remember the slaughter of everyone in the city of Cobleskill New York by 300 Iroquois Indians acting on behalf of the Brits; the Wyoming Valley slaughters by Indians in both 1757 and again in 1775. That particular Indian slaughter is described this way

After the battle, the victorious Loyalists and Indians began to harass prisoners and fleeing settlers, killing 360 people and torturing a large number. Outrageously all captured Patriots who had fought in the battle were executed, later Butler still guiltily insisted that non-combatants had not been killed, despite widespread reports to the contrary. July 4th is Independence Day; Independence from Britain and Europe together with their American Indian allies. The fact that we won is a miracle. We didn't have a single general who had any military training at all. The Brits had the best professional army in the world. We did not have the ability to manufacture our own weapons; the ones we had were purchased or stolen. We had zero money; the Brits were the richest country on earth at the time.

On July 4th we remember a mircacle. Perhaps it would be better to say that we remember a bunch of miracles. There was no way to beat the Brits back in 1776, but we did. Would we have won anything if we had the media we have today attacking the Military at every loss of a battle? Would the draft dodgers at the New York Times and their ilk in television tolerate the loss of three million young guys?

On June 30, Pixar Animation Studios (PIXR ) cut its earnings-per-share estimate for the second quarter to 10 cents from 15 cents, due to slower-than-expected DVD sales of its blockbuster The Incredibles. The stock of Dreamworks Animation (DWA ) dropped sharply in mid-May, after the studio reported that returns of its own blockbuster Shrek 2 left sales 5 million short of its forecasts.

OK, here's some of his views, which are well worth considering. Then there is this POV from the Business community opposing Schumer for different reasons. Somebody really famous once observed that "fat men hide their fat, but fat women flaunt theirs." A major article over at Slate discusses, in the most PC way imaginable, the thong clad women with body fat hanging about them in sections from their butts, stomachs, and vaginal areas. The hordes of particulary unattractive women wearing thongs in public is stomach churning to every man I know.

Sexual repulsion should be a hate crime. Here's a law I'd like to see passed---this is way bigger than KELO---nobody, man or woman, with more than 5% body fat can wear a thong unless they are inside their own closets. I am particulary concerned by women flaunting their awful corpulence on city streets where they can be seen by our kids. Sickening sights like that will turn our teen boys into homos faster than being molested by a pedophile. We're talking about women who are so awful that you just know they can only have sex in the dark while pretending they are somebody else. Ugh. Only the hottest of babes should wear a thong out in the open, the rest should stay in the ocean with the rest of the whale population.
